William bleats fearfully, but obeys the call of his master. His legs kick feebly as he rises into the air, and he looks longingly at the ground he is leaving behind -- or rather, below.

William tries to hide his head under his front legs (an attempt stymied by his helmet), but finally bleats in the affirmative -- with obvious reluctance.

"Male, this one. Crazytown-mayor?" William suggests, bleating in accentless Goat.

William sees Celia run off, and starts to gallop after her, easily keeping pace.

William bleats angrily and paws the ground while he tosses his head.

William, who had enjoyed Celia's offering - not to mention all the other edible plants he encountered during the walk to the city - edges closer to Valai, his nostrils flaring with alarm.

For all that he has become considerably rounder during the trip, the goat is clearly ready to beat feet. All four of them.

Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 3. Survival: 1d20 ⇒ 15.

William Goat trots over to the nearest plantlife and sniffs it, almost daintily.

(Survival to find food: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12.)

Having done all that he can to ascertain the nature of this new and strange greenery... William proceeds to eat it, his jaws chomping stoicically away.

William clip-clops over to Lym and tries to hide his head under her robes.

"Big! Ugly! Mouths! Teeth!" he whimpers in Goat.

"Brushing and feeding are better," William replies, running to keep up with Celia -- but conspicuously not passing her at any point. In fact, the goat deliberately lets the small priestess get ahead of him when they approach the hold.

"Yes! She sends me!" William replies in fluent Goat. "You come! Big stink! You come now! I eat your sleeve!"

William reacts with affront to being bitten; he leaps behind Celia, rises on his hindlegs and headbutts her in the caboose. This is not a proper attack, more the sort of thing a goat might do to knock over an unsuspecting milkmaid -- or, of course, to motivate a Gnome to start walking.

I forget that Celia can actually talk to the goat a few times per day.

No, I'm not! *rage-headbutt*
