Male Human (Taldan) Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 5
DM Tarlane and Meera: Willy scans the roofs of the buildings around the tavern trying to determine how far they could get staying on the rooftops.
"Ya, let's foller 'dem, I wanna look at 'da walls of 'da keep. I wonder If we can stay on 'da roofs. Lotta guards at 'da keep, gonna be hard ta get in." Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12 Willy fancies himself some kind of important spy and is eager to get to work doing whatever spies do. Sneaking around on rooftops spying on guards and his fellow spies seems about right to him.

Willy has a big grin as he leaves the room with Meera. The occasional grunt can heard from the other room. DM Tarlane and Meera: Eager to show of his nonexistent stealthy skills, Willy agrees to go sneaking around the town on the rooftops. He does not take his breasplate or axe, but does take his dagger, rope and climber's kit. The plan sounds good (and fun). Willy will tie one end of the rope around Meera's waist then ascend to the roof of the tavern with the other end. Once on top he will anchor himself to the roof (assuming a suitable anchor can be found like a chimney or vent pipe), then pull the rope taut so Meera can follow safely (belaying her). If the climb up seems easy Willy will take 10 (for 20).

Meera wrote: "I say lets walk around and talk to folks, maybe see where every one stands...Knowing is more than half the winning of any battle..." "Da barkeep has mistletoe, should we talk ta him?" Maltherion wrote: "We need to make our way to the Keep, and posing as individual guards willing to aid the Militia through the Captain, is the best way to start. We can simply say that we overheard his alert, and we might as well help." "Ya, we be simple guards willin' ta help."

Willy pours another pint of ale from the pitcher he brought up from the common room. "How we gonna do dat? Grab da Captain I mean. He looks tough and has lots o' friends around. I might could do it if he was alone" His brows furrow like he is thinking hard about something, a rare thing for him. "Mebbe Meera could make friends wit' 'im. I'll watch so he don't try nothin' funny." "Though she look like she can take care o' 'erself." Willy gives Meera a broken tooth grin. He drains the pint and offers the others a drink. Thats 3 pints down.

more interested in the ale than his surroundings. Maeltheron wrote: The barkeep has the mistletoe on his belt. "Ayuh" Willy nods, not wanting to say more with so many people around.

Willy finishes heis beer then leaves the tavern. On the way to the tent he pulls a note out of his pocket and studies it for a moment. Hmm.. He puts it back in his pocket then enters the tent. Willy is a large man, dressed in worn, nondescript clothing. he has a fine axe over his back, and is wearing a fine, but worn, black cloak. "What 'dis about den?" he says to no one in particular.

Willy strolls in and sits down at the bar. "Beer" he says to the barkeep, plopping a coin down on the bar. Although it doesn't seem like it, he notices the man in the corner, his curiosity piqued by the badge. GM Tarlane: Spoiler: Willy took the Heart of the Fields alternate racial trait if that's cool.

crystal wrote: "I'm sure you'd feel far more comfortable having had a chance to wash the dust and such from yourself, before enjoying a tankard...what say we share a drink?" Crystal smiles. "There is some where to freshen up? Is there not?" Willy similes and looks down at his filthy clothing. "I s'pose I could wash up a bit if you'll have a pint wit' me." He goes outdide to the wash station and does his best to clean his face and hands. Unfortunately, until he can change his clothes and give himself a proper bath the stink remains.

Otherwise I will be forced to have my brothers do it for you, and I am pretty sure you won't like that." Realizing the man is speaking to him Willy looks up from the card game blinking. "Wut? Do wut for me?"

A large scruffy young man looks comes into the tavern and looks for a seat at the bar. He is very dirty and smelly, and carries a large woodcutting axe over his back. By the amount of blood crusted on the handle, its looks like wood isn't the only thing it's been cutting "Ho!" he says loudly "Bartender I need a drink bad!"
