I have pathfinder advantage from being a legacy AP subscriber. when this came out I was a venture officer, and getting the PFS scenarios for free. I just realized that even though I had selected the pathfinder scenarios for my free subscription, I haven't been getting them since I stepped down as a venture officer. I tried to find where that is selected in my account, to see if it had inadvertantly been shut off, but was having trouble finding where that is defined now. If I go to order the PFS scenario subscription, it says I will owe money.

So the 2nd edition core rulebook and bestiary PDFs are under "Paizo Inc.: Rulebooks" but the Gamemastery guide is stored under "Paizo Inc.: Second Edition Rulebooks " I was expecting it to be in the same place as the other rulebooks. When I have a ton of downloads it was difficult to find.

According to the the blog post, Pathfinder advanatage was supposed to be grandfdathered in for current AP subscribers. after reading This thread I decided to check my order, and found that the advantage discount was not added to Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Druma, Profit and Prophecy or Pathfinder Adventure: The Fall of Plaguestone in order 7963743. Looks like this might have been a more wide spread issue with the grandfathered pathfinder advantage discount.

I'd like to cancel my Pathfinder Battles subscription. THe lack of new novels has caused my enthusiasm to lack in the last year or so, to the point I barley play and can no longer justify the expense of the minis.

I was going through a post were Wes and James Sutter were talking to each other, and I realized that Wes has the contributor tag, but James had no tag. Just thought I'd bring it up in case it was an error.

Has anyone used offhand comments from a tails to write their campaign? I am thinking of doing a campaign based around more exploration of the lizard folk ruins in through the a gate in the sea. I think there is enough peripheral information to make it a Fleshed out area

I know that Starfinder is the "new thing" but can we please have more pathfinder content for those of us who don't love sci-fi?

The early days of the blog, every product got the same treatment the starfinder core rulebook is: we would hear about backmatter articles in AP adventures months in advance, and those talking about them would be excited about the "dragon part of the dragon and dungeon in one product". When was the last time we had a blog about something in the backmatter of an AP?
March 29 some people may comment that doesn't even count, as it was an aside, and wasn't even to get people excited about backmatter. Icouldn't even tell you what was in the backmatter of any APs since reign of winter/mummies mask - as those were the last times there area a real blog entry on backmatter. I can still tell you the backmatter of each of the first 12 issues though, because they ALL had multiple blogs about their content.

When was the Last time a Pathfinder Chronicles (edit pathfinder campaign setting) product had a blog about them? Feb 24th

Player companion? March 17th

Can we have more of the hype that made the blog something I looked foreward to daily?

Does this book give a hint to what is in the fabled "Pathfinder Chronicles #5" that was destroyed and talks about Durvin Gest's disappearance? Reading through it, my eyebrows shot up when I read Gest's namedrop by someone not from Golarion

I have a ton of plastic minis (over 2,000 sculpts and over 8,000 miniatures). I'm currently storing them in small shoe boxes and Rubbermaid containers about the same size as said shoeboxes. This has been more of an issue with the more brittle nature of PFS minis, I have found a number of broken minis, almost always rares. (all of my shattered star slurks are missing teeth, and ticks and insects are missing legs, many flying bases are broken off at the base)

So, how do people store their minis to prevent damaging them. I was looking at this link and it had me thinking about getting an Ikea Billy Bookcase, and adding drawer runners to the shelves, so I can more easily find a mini in the back as needed.

Sczarni

I'm not sure, this may be just me. While downloading a number of the PFS scenarios today, using the link from their product page (not the "my downloads" link from the head of the page) Each PDF failed the first time I clicked on it (after a minute or two I got the large golem picture with 'oh, no something went wrong - webmasters have been notified') as this had never happened in the past I thought it would bring it up in case it hits your error logs.

We already have the title of the map pack on the side of the box, can we also place it on the top of the box? My reasoning is that when they are standing up in my filing cabinet, I need to pull them all out to see which is which.

I'm starting to write a "best player companions" article for one of our PFS store's blogs. I decided I need more opinions than just my own, I know what I like but I am also very much not an optimizer, I'm more in it for the fluff.... So I'm putting it out here for everyone.

Top 5 overall player companions.

Top 5 fluff player companions

Top 5 crunch player companions

Top 5 race/location player companions

Top 5 player companions for new players

I know this may be in the wrong area. If it is, feel free to move it.

I need some advice on how to read books without
Wrecking them. Here's my situation: about 60%of my reading time is in bed, while my fiancé is asleep or trying to sleep. She is very light sensitive when trying to sleep, so even the light from an iPad keeps her up.

For novels, I'm able to use a book light to read from, but that is because novels are thick enough to that the pages can support the weight of the light. Using a book light on player companions or early modules causes the cover to bend, and could damage the book.

Does anyone know if there are magazine specific book lights, of specific company I should look into to prevent this damage?

Tbug noticed on the wiki:

Yoha's Graveyard seems to be the only place that the Clearing Moon is mentioned. We have the list of the names of all of the full moons in Blood of the Moon and the Clearing Moon isn't one of them. Has anyone seen errata for this? Tbug (talk) 00:02, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

Note the reference list has the reference for this page to be isles of the shackles p37

page 5, in the timeline, I'm guessing that either the date of the second or third entry is incorrect, and the Naga Pharaoh takes over Azghaad builds the temple to the all seeing eye, correct?

just wanted to make you aware that the hard plastic hanger on the flipmat damaged the AP cover in the March shipment it looks like it bent foreward, and the corner where the inside goes round made a slight (around 1/10 of an inch) tear in the cover, and was still stuck in the tear when I opened the mailer.

Saw you on Mysteries at the Museum on travel channel....
I really enjoyed your piece... just wanted to let you know

giving this a read through to prep it for this weekend, and there are a lot of monsters with templates added on that don't have stats. since a good part of my prep time will be making that massive map, has anyone stated out the templated monsters already?

Connecticon (http://connecticon.org/) will be held July 13-15 2012 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT. A number of venture officers from the north-east, and Mike Brock himself are scheduled to be there.

In addition to running PFS, some of the venture-officers are going to be running panel discussions, and there will be laptops running Herolab and a printer available to allow you to quickly make a PFS character if you do not have one yet. Come on down and play, listen to panels, enjoy the dealers, movies, costumes, anime, or whatever else you're into!

As you can see, there is a large number and variety of scenarios offered, so come on over and play!

*Note: not all of these will be run at each slot. The calender on the con's site does have a listing of what is being offered at which time.(at least for Fri/Sat, I'll check up on why nothing is showing for Sunday)

My group decided they didn't trust the guards at the begining of the game, and paid a shiver den to keep Lamm in a stupor for a few months and forgot about him. Then they negotiated with the Spider King at Eel's End instead of fighting (they brought spiders the druid had trained to fight as entertainment, plus a few games of knivesies, and a 32 diplomacy check). But they mentioned to one of the guards there that thy were the ones who had taken Lamm out, and that he was drugged somewhere.

Fast forward to the end of 7 Days to the Grave, they remembered about Lamm and went to check on him.... finding out that the spider king, as the supplier of shiver, easily found Lamm, and took him back to Eel's End. Now they are pissed and want to storm the area, but are level 6 and would walk all over Dervago and Lamm... How would you beef these 2 up for an encounter with 5-6 level 6 characters? From the sounds of it, they currently plan on heading that way as soon as they finish up at the hospice.

has anyone seen the Prophets of Science Fiction series on the science channel? I was wondering if anyone know if any Planet stories authors where going to be presented. (the only two episodes I can find are Mary Shelly and Arthur C Clark and Philip K Dick is coming out this coming Wednesday... I have all three set to tape on wednesday... also thought the PS community might be interested in the series

Personally, I've always had a soft spot for adventures that showcase the pleasure activities of the area - be it gambling, knivesies, blood pig....

While reading the Inner sea world guide information on the Donkey rat I had a adventure idea I though was really interesting. What if someone was opening a high end restaurant/tavern in a city, but didn't really like the aristocrats and politics of nobility. They get help from the PCs to go hunt creatures like the donkey rat, that are tasty, but frowned upon. As the PCs level, they can be contacted to hunt creatures for the restaurant's 'specials'. Who else is going to harvest enough cockatrices to serve a city's nobility for a week? You know the queen just asked if we could serve red dragon steaks at her coronation, and the PCs are the only ones who can hunt down a red dragon.

Normally hunting these things a lot would put you behind the wealth table... but they're selling the meat back to the resturant

When going to make a purchase, I noticed that my credit card that I have used fro every single purchase on this site is no longer selectable. poking around, I found it is still in the subscriptions area, just not when I click the select payment method button during checkout. I know it was there last month when I bought Tome of Horrors....

I had a opportunity to use a boon that I had earned in a previous scenario this past week, but forgot I had it. I know there are some bette web designers than me out there - is it possible to create a webpage that you can check off the boons you have/allowing you to output your boons to a single page - maybe the names next to checkboxes and a submit button, and it loads a page with the full text of the boon, thus not telling users what module they are from, so that people can't metagame for them?

Ready Player One is defiantly an interesting book. MMO and Sci-FI and lots of 80s references (including lots of D&D ones)! I'm about 1/2 way through, and its a great read so far. Note the link if for the audiobook version, which is read by Will Wheaton and he does a pretty good job

Sczarni

Yay! the 2010 one is one of my favorite glasses!

Sczarni 4/5

Just making sure that the scenarios that are supposed to release today are still on the schedule to release today? I need to prep 2-21 for a game on Sat, and if I don't do it tonight, I won't have time and have to bow out from GMing it.

Sczarni

this sounds cool.... do we know what ART is being used to sculpt this one?

Sczarni

Sorry to be a hound (no pun intended) but I'm going to ask again.. would it be possible to include art used in the webfiction into the CUP the same way the art from the Blog is? Last time I asked people said they were going to look into it... but that was a few months ago and I haven't heard anything.

Oh, and thanks!

Sczarni

How long is this pack of green stuff? the army painter one is $10 cheaper, but only 5" worth

Sczarni

on the army painter products, almost none of the tools pictures match with the product description

Sczarni

I must say that this story the characters clung to me faster than most of the webfictions can't wait to see more

Sczarni

Ok, I have a question about miniatures that have more than once piece. Do people usually paint them before gluing/pinning them, or after? or does it depend on how hidden the area around the other parts are? or how well it looks like the two pieces will connect?

Sczarni

I was thinking while I was thumbing through Vaults of Madness today, that I had no idea what the articles section had in it. Then I started thinking back, and relized why.. previous to kingmaker, there were 2-3 blog posts about an adventure path, one of the adventure (latly this has been covered as awesome art previews) and one on the articles in the back half of the book. I think that with Kingmaker the fact that the back half was lots of crunch to fit the front half, and this made it harder to talk about the articles... Now that we are back to setting based articles that are less crunchy, could we go back to doing a overview of the article section of the APs in the blog once in a while?

wow that was long winded.

also, if we could include the art from the web fiction into the CUP that would be great :)

Sczarni

I accidentally deleted the email with my tracking number on it for UPS shipment... so I went into the account order history to look for it there, and once again it appears that the tracking numbers aren't appearing there. I know they've come and gone in recent months, so I wasn't sure if this was on purpose or not, so I thought I'd bring it up

Sczarni

The Pathfinder Chronicles minis are very hard to find on the Pathfinder page, or on the products by paizo page in the store... it took me 20 minute of going through the big links before I found them (and that was knowing that they are there, those who don't know them, wouldn't even really get down to that little textdown at the bottem..

Edit: sorry on the title - I started writing this before I found the link on the bottom of the page

Sczarni

From the spoilers posted from the fiction seminar @ PaizoCon:

"Reaper will also be releasing a special limited edition Varian Jeggare miniature at GenCon to commemorate the release of "Prince of Wolves.""

Is this still on the schedule? I don't see it mentioned elsewhere on either the paizo site or the reaper one.... I need to know if I'm giving people money to pick one up. If it is happening will it be at the paizo booth or the reaper one?

Sczarni

I once again enjoy the way the fight scenes portray game mechanics without seeming turn-based. I want to know how the city fared though, did they make it in time?

Cpt_kirstov wrote:
Is it spelled Rechiends plains(as the map on the inside cover has it) or Rechand's Plains (as it is on page 17) or are these actually 2 different plains?

Since page 28 also mentions it is as Rechiend's Plains (same as the map). I'm going to guess that is the correct spelling?

Using Doug Doug's list of maps, I have made a Paizo List of the flip mats and map packs used thus far. Hope the link works correctly. Feel Free to email me at e(dash)gendron(at)charter(dot)net for anything I missed or to update it with the most recent scenarios.

Sczarni

I'm trying to decide if I'm going to buy it or not, and I trust this community much more than most video game reviewers.

Sczarni

Where would I put them? Thinking of adding them to a wandering monster table or specific encounter. They are too fun, considering that none of my players are really into the setting yet (I'm slowly converting them from 3.5) maybe some pugwampi will infest the palace sewers following Gnoll assassins or something? Any other thoughts?

Sczarni 4/5

since i'm running the first two echos of Everwar tomorrow, I figured I'd ask if others had any hiccups I should be ready for when running. They both look well done and ready to go, although the big map in the first one was hard to draw out, even with 1 inch = 10 feet.

Sczarni

just and FYI - the ink for the dark brown on the top outside of my Mother of Flies looks like it was folded before it was dried completly... some of the pages were slightly stuck together in that corner.I separated them all without anything ripping, so no harm done, just wanted to give you guys a heads up, in case other copies are stuck worse than mine.

-Cpt_kirstov

PS Cos - sorry I haven't been helping much on these boards lately, my real work has been busy :)

Sczarni

No one? Edit: practicing my necromancy

Sczarni 4/5

I'm scheduled to run Devil you know part 3 for 2 groups on Sat, I just wanted to make sure this months senarios are going to come out as scheduled tomorrow. Since I know it's normally done on the last Wed (which would be today), I wanted to make sure that I didn't have to look for another scenario that none of the 13 or so players have played yet.

Thanks Josh et all
