Nice, my updated tracking is a week from Monday! This just keeps getting better...

Two of my local stores have copies of the base set now. I haven't check with others. Still disgusted with this whole thing. Glad so many people are ok with this, I think it stinks. I would be a little less mad if we could have gotten our shipment at the same time as the stores, who knows when I will see my GROUND order! The billing system screw up is another thing that set me off, my order was delayed and shipped wrong because of a bad billing system.

I'd just like to be clear that we have *never* said that subscribers will receive products before the street dates. There are just too many logistical issues involved there, so it's not something we're ever going to promise. Our goal, however, is that most US subscribers will have their shipments prior to the retail release, and that is a goal that we succeed at way more often than not. But if that's your key reason for subscribing, please realize that while we will often satisfy that desire, we sometimes will not.

Also, as far as I've been able to determine, distributors have not been shipped any Class Decks or Add-On Decks either, and I suspect that the September 3 Class Deck release date (and the launch of our retail OP program) will be pushed back further.

If it was not your intent to ship to the subscribers before the retail stores, you are selling a poor subscription. We are not saving money by getting a subscription. Getting a few promo cards is not a real incentive. If my TV Guide hit the stores before mine was in the mail box, I would cancel my subscription. (been years but was the only thing that popped into my head).

I know things happen, I just do not like the fact that GenCon had no problems getting copies. If retail/online stores get copies before me, I will be mad about that. Subscribers pay more and should expect to be first in the food chain. Having a subscriber base is a great marketing tool and if your goal is not to have most users subscribing, I do not understand it. The only way to do that is to make them your first priority.

I am not asking for anything free, I just feel cheated.

I wouldn't have posted again but the comment that you never said we would receive our products before the street date bugged me. By having a subscription, you expect to have the product before other outlets, that is the reason for a subscription. If that is not your intention, you might want to let subscribers know that, before you sell them a bill of goods.

I have been a very vocal proponent of your great, new way of selling your product. The last time this happened was because of the street date being broken. I just don't want this to become the norm.

We are just glad that the GenCon cosplayers are taken care of. Your broken billing system messed up my order so I have no idea where my order will end up. I have USPS Priority Mail as my shipping method and that is somehow set to Ground. I changed payment methods and for some reason my base set would not accept a payment method. Someone took care of that "hick-up" thank you. Working retail management for 30 years, I find it hard to understand why subscribers are not top priority. The promo cards are not important cards to the game; they just add a little fun.

I just think that "word of mouth" from subscribers is more important than GenCon, I have sold a lot of people on your products. Your subscribers are selling your game for you.

I just have a problem with paying extra for a subscription and getting it later. And the fact that I didn't even get my promo cards last time, i have two things stuck in the sidecart.

We had some initial issues with the promo cards and it looks like your order shipped without them and so the single cards were placed in your sidecart to go with the next (February subscription). Since the actual shipping of that deck is still a week or more away, I'll go ahead and drop those in the snail mail. You'll see a shipping email for it, but the auto generated tracking number won't be valid as they'll be in a letter sized envelope instead of a package.

I apologize for the confusion and delay and in general, if you see something that seems wrong with a subscription or your account, please let us know directly via email, phone or up in the customer service messageboards.

thanks

Thanks for taking care of that. I just don't understand how amazon has shipped orders that they got from you and we are still waiting on our order. Now you say that we are still a week or more from shipping. The promo cards are fun but not a big deal. I am paying more to buy from Paizo for the promo cards and thinking I will get my subscription on or before the bulk of the gaming world.

I'm surprised they said that - they're usually explicit that "getting it early" is not one of the promised benefits of subscribing.

Their undertaking is to try and have subscribers in the US receive their shipments on or around street date. I certainly wouldn't expect you'll always get it early though. Some months you'll be first in the queue, sometimes last and given the fortnight shipping runs we've been seeing lately, that could be quite significant.

Steve is correct—we don't say that subscribers will necessarily get stuff early.

I just have a problem with paying extra for a subscription and getting it later. And the fact that I didn't even get my promo cards last time, i have two things stuck in the sidecart.
