Thanks Charlie D, I was in such a hurry I forgot to double check the stupid thing. :/

Thought I'd post this in here since I found this the other day and thought it was just too cool. Looks like Howard Taylor is creating a RPG for his Schlock Mercenary web comic. This is supposed to be a more serious space opera version of the universe. Rules light, and still a light hearted take than say Rogue Trader.

Here's the link for those that want to check out the kick starter:

Petty alchemy should not rule this city because Alchemy is grand, wondrous, and mysterious, never ever petty

check out the golemoids from Thunderscape, they work really well, and can be yanked pretty easily from the setting

Interesting, I'll check it out, and the Meiville Joynt Jezebel. ;)

What I'm looking at is more magitech with a dash of steam, than true steam punk.

The home brew I'm working on is fallen empire destroyed by druid terrorists, that have left civilization clinging to the mountains where it is safe. Looking for airships as a means of transport between the mountains. I'm looking at a clockwork race similar to warforged from Eberron that was created to help carve this place of safety. Guns, investigation, and political upheaval will be the name of the game. Plus, I like the idea of my heros being more Indiana Jones, than King Arthur for a change. I've been thinking of morphing the Alchemist into a gunpowder mage, or doing the same thing with the magus.

So I'm looking for something to plunder for ideas. Especially some good rules to use with the airships. Something easy, and fun, similar to the Rogue Trader rules for space battles, and upgrading of the star ship.

Crimson Throne, Second Darkness, Kingmaker in that order would be my votes

Hey folks, I'm trying to scratch an itch for some steampunk. I'm looking for some 3pp that have rules for airships. Also looking for anything that I can mine for steampunk and magitech goodness. Any recommendations folks could make?

Thanks!

Last I saw on the privateer press website was that they were looking to make some moves on this next year. Nothing definite, nothing inked, just some teaser comments. So maybe it'll show next year, maybe 2012. I tend to think next year makes a lot of sense since they should be done with the rolling out all the must haves for the revamp fo their minitures game, and they should have some free development cycles.

As for the rules set, it has been hinted that they are looking at a in house rules set that will more parallel the table top game. Thus making it easier to cross pollinate thier fans from one game to the other.

Now from a business stand point that sounds awesome. From a fan stand point, I'm not so thrilled with that move. I loved their 3.5 rpg stuff. The setting, and vision was awesome. I would love to see them go pathfinder, or even AU, with a new ruleset. But I just don't see it happening.

A lot of their more vocal fans are decidedly anti anything that even sniffs of DnD. For whatever reason. And they seem to be very happy with the hinted at move. We'll just have to wait and see what they announce as we move closer to an actual release.

Umm, wow. There's a weekly newsletter? How long has that been going on? I've never recieved one, yet I do recieve all my reciepts from Paizo. And I've checked and my settings do allow for emails.

So add me to the mystery, but mine is a yahoo account. I've checked the spam folder, nothing there either.
