Action to disengage and move away from the scarab. hellish rebuke damage: 2d10 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6 fire damage A burst of flame launches at the scarab after it bites Wan attempting to burn the creature. Wan'di stretches his hand over his staff turning it dark, and then steps away with a few quick steps to provide some distance and head deeper into the maze. ![]()

![]() Hey, Gibba. You stay away from those chess pieces. They're going to make you sick again. We can bust open that box later, let's get past the next room first and then we can take a break. Wan carefully steps on the black line and makes sure to use it like a balance beam. ![]()

![]() We were only like 30 yards apart in different rooms anyways. Hey, that box itself is magic Thratch. Let's get a little further and we can take a break to identify this stuff, Wan says, That thing has some extreme power to it and shouldn't be messed with without identifying it first. So here's the big question: That weird dark room, or that weird white room with the black line? ![]()

![]() Entering the room, Wan greets Gibba, Hey, Gibba. Some folks'll be coming through here, but they are all made of flesh even if they cover themselves in metal. In the next room Wan'di waves his hand dismissively at the scene, Don't touch any of this s%+@ with a ten-foot pole. That snake-boy is named Gibba and claims to be the medusa's stone-eatin' son, and he is eating those chess pieces that are dangerous to touch - they will try to take control of your body. I suspect the pieces in the boy's stomach are trying to take control of him as well. Wan'di points to the doorways to the left and right, Over there is a door leading to darkness, and over there is a door to a room with a 6" wide path painted on the floor. If we are taking votes, the room on the right is at least more obvious. ![]()

![]() Lys crawled off into one of those doors that pop up around her... I have not seen her since she went in. We will probably find her soon, Wan calls, We lost the Curator by forcing it to spring the mozaic trap in the room over yonder... I'm still not sure if it will hold it for long though. We should keep moving - there are two ways forward past the next room. Wan'di looks Riven up and down and says, Can't y'all go ten minutes without finding a stray cat to bring along? You don't see me dragging around the crazy snake-boy in the next room with me! He laughs as he turns and walks back to the room with Gibba. ![]()

![]() Wan more time: Arcana Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Wan can't make heads or tails of the scroll, but seeing the pieces he gets a grim feeling they are connected - and that the ones in Gibba's stomach might have to come out at some point. Wan tries to move a chess piece in a move that at least is legal without any thought to strategy. If nothing happens he heads back into the other room. Is there a picture related to this? ![]()

![]() Wando: Wan'di watches the thing as it wiggles and jiggles and rants and raves, Hey guy, you know what? You the baddest dude around. My friends were the toughest guys I know, and if you ate them that makes you one bad dude. Wan waves his arm out over the chess pieces, If you are hungry go ahead and eat until you cannot eat anymore. I can't stop such a powerful being as you, and you mother must worry about how skinny you are.
Wan Persuasion: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 If the creature begins to eat Wan will pocket the sword and scroll and watch. ![]()

![]() I'm jumping on some OC stuff. Well it does seem a waste to leave this room empty-handed, and the lady of the mosaic claims only three can cross unharmed. I guess these are not your typical swordsman, Wan'di says looking over to the other room, Tell you what; Ashlyn, A Lys, and myself can scurry along the long route to get to that rope room and bock the door. You bird guys can split up how you want and take that painting with you while our group and whoever of you will join us waits by these bridges. It should only take a matter of minutes to go the long way, but after an hour I recommend movin' on without us. Wan'di turns to Ashlyn and A Lys, That seem fair? You seem to be interested in that room and I'm pretty good at getting out of a tight spot and could use a brisk jog after getting some breakfast. ![]()

![]() Moving the extended OC talk here. Just trying to organize 1) We have had a long rest, unless your character is deliberately hiding information we talked about what you saw off screen. If you have something to hide now is the time to mention it. The bridge area has multiple exits, not just the room we are in and the mosaic room I saw. The mosaic room I saw has limitations of saying it will kill the 4th person crossing it, while the first three need to sing or dance or bleed. That's why I'm saying keep the size small. 2) It sounds like it doesn't particularly matter because no one wants the swords. That means I can send an Unseen Servant to lock the door if we so choose. I would prefer not to, it takes 10 monutes
