I'm sure you guys figured it out by now but I've let this game lapse. Thank you for your attention and participation and maybe I'll see you around here later!

Meepo, still kneeling over the body of the dragonling says, "Huge reward! Yusdrayl controls the treasure of the kobolds. Huge reward!"

You are not the only one. Hopefully they've got the site fixed now.

Meepo flinches as Akula bends over Calcryx. Gozreh's favor works quickly to cause the dragon blood to clot around the wound and within seconds, the dragon's breathing sounds much less labored. "Thank you thank you thank you!"

"Now, we just need to bring Calcryx back to Yusdrayl. Our tribe will dominate these tunnels again with our dragon!"

The party also notices that for now, the sounds of battle in the distance have receded.

Carrying the dragon isn't really an issue. It's only about 20 pounds, a couple feet long and ice cold to the touch. Getting it back to the kobold area is a bit more awkward though. In the encounter before this you snuck past the completely oblivious goblin guards, so they are blocking your one clear path. You do know there is at least one other path there but haven't yet discovered it - and there is certainly no guarantee that it will be unguarded.

Just a note to say I've had a couple of particularly well worded posts eaten in the last couple days for this PbP. I'm going to give it another day or so before I post again.

Akula brings his axe up above the dragonling. Its head twitches in his direction momentarily and then the axe comes crashing down leaving a gaping slash in the beast's neck. Julio is unfortunately covered in gore. Calcryx is down, but still barely breathing...its chest moving slower every second.

Meepo slowly turns toward Calcryx and then looks up at Akula. "What did you do?! Somebody help her! She's still breathing!"

Calcryx didn't hit her negative CON level so is still technically alive for a few seconds in game. In the real world, to put some urgency to it, I'll post again on Thursday afternoon. If nobody stabilizes Calcryx, she dead.

Sorry...been busy so I haven’t been able to update this...spoiler alert...That Crit just ended this fight

The party breaks into activity trying to slip past the dragon's guard.

Julio slides past Akula and Meepo, and comes face to face with the beast. It is only a couple of feet long but the scales glint in the light and its claws are surprisingly long close up. In fact, their size throws off his timing just enough that he doesn't anticipate the dragon's teeth as they flash towards the rogue.

AoO vs. Julio: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

GM's Note to the party:
For those of you keen of eye, you'll notice another inconsistency here compared with Calcryx's previous attack. Apologies again but I should have everything sorted now.

Bite Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Julio spots the jaws just in time, however he can't get out of the way in time.

Standing outside the room, Kessai has Borux totally intimidated. The goblin is not really moving so much as it is crouching in fear of Calcryx and trying to use the door frame for as much cover as possible.

Mal'kolenth follows Julio in and goes to work with his rapier on the distracted dragon, leaving a deep puncture along its flank.

Round 2
Those bolded below may act.

Calcryx - 6 damage
Akula
Blitz - prone and snoring
Mal'kolenth
Julio
Kessai
Meepo - 3 damage

GM - did Kessai's beguiling gift spell fail completely?

Oh boy, two mistakes in one post. To be totally honest, I read your post and then got confused and then skipped past your post when I was updating the combat. My fault. Fixing that isn't so straight forward though: looking at Beguiling Gift: You offer an object to an adjacent creature, and entice it into using or consuming the proffered item. If the target fails its Will save, it immediately takes the offered object, dropping an already held object if necessary...I don't think this is what you really intend. My guess is you intended to cast Hypnotism. I'll assume that and insert the save and effect here.

DC14 Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Between the growling sounds of the wyrmling and the rage in its eyes, the spell either can't be heard or has very little effect. It continues its assault on Meepo unabated.

Akula the Herald wrote:
Aren't dragons immune to sleep?

Uhh...well you see...because this one is so young it used to...nevermind. I forgot about that and the dragon entry on the prd is kind of a mess to read. Fortunately it didn't make a huge impact unless your name is Blitz.

Meepo ducks and dodges out of the way of the dragonling's claws. "Calcryx! You liked it much better in your cage. I know you did." He looks over his shoulder and says, "Relax, companions, let me just try this...it always used to work when she was in her cage...Be careful, Blitz..."

Concentration, Casting Defensively DC17: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Sleep vs. Calcryx, DC13 Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Sleep vs. Blitz, DC13 Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9
Blitz Krieg instantly slumps to the ground, asleep (for 1 minute unless somebody uses a standard action to wake you).

Calcryx shakes her head as the slumber tries to overtake her defenses. She then roars at Meepo.

Meepo's only response is, "Friends. We may have a problem."

Round 2
Calcryx bellows again in anger and unleashes a cone shaped jet of cold air at Meepo. Fortunately for the party, the doorway shields Kessai and Mal (and Borux) from the blast.

Breath damage: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4
Meepo Reflex Save, DC12: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Good question (that I didn't think about before now). I'm ok calling it ice that is just there for flavor...as opposed to Fla-vor-Ice which is just delicious.

GM Roll:

Kessai: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Mal’Kolenth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Meepo: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Meepo cries out, "Calcryx!" and moves to the front of the party, entering the room. A shape comes crawling out from under a table, materializing into a relatively small, white dragonling. It sniffs a few times, eyes squinted. A low growl begins to grow in its throat as it crouches down on its hind legs.

"Calcryx?", Meepo says.

Initiative:

Kessai: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Akula: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21

Akula creeps along the wall towards the goblins. As you do, you remember the fight you had in here yesterday with a larger group of goblins. A yell breaks you out of your reminiscences and just when you think you've been spotted, you realize the goblins are actually yelling at each other. Not known for being especially restrained or perceptive, the goblins have begun vehemently arguing with each other. You arrive at the door leading onward and manage to time opening the door with the moment one of the goblins pushes the other to the ground. It seems things are escalating. You quickly make it out of the guard area and arrive at the door you previously marked with chalk (The pink door on the map)

Kessai follows the half-orc forward and reaches the broken down half-wall with her familiar. Your step over the wall lands right on your familiar however. The cat yowls and scampers forward. Your head turns towards the quarreling goblins in time to see one land a solid punch to the other's groin. You manage to make it out of the room and join Akula at the door.

Based on what is happening with the goblin "watchmen" I'll push things forward and say that the rest of the party including the captive goblin manage to sneak past.

As the party assembles around the door you notice a few things. The dragon's head carving on the door at eye level is still the most striking thing about all of the citadel design in this area. Also, Akula's chalk marking is still in place and apparently undisturbed. The door itself is locked but that proves no challenge for Akula. While working he notices that the handle is still cold. Listening at the door, Akula can make out sounds of movement inside but nothing else of note. Opening the door, the party is met with a blast of cold air.

Mounted and stuffed animal heads adorn the walls. The mounting job is sloppy, and the assortment of heads includes cattle, rats, and other not particularly impressive specimens. However, a few grisly trophies share the wall with the animals, including a couple of kobold visages. Smashed and broken cabinets and small tables litter the periphery of the room,
mute victims of some sort of rampage. A rusted iron spike stands askew in the center of the room, trailing a broken chain. Thin patches of ice coat sections of the walls, floor, and debris.

Akula's last turn doesn't exactly mesh with the game state. Please check the discussion thread for a longer post.

So I need to clarify this because I think I led Akula astray a little bit for his last post. I updated the map to show where everything is. Most of the party is at the blue X. Akula and now Blitz are sort of the advance party at the green X. You snuck up there because you heard two goblins. They have apparently (partially) re-fortified this area while you slept. The goblins you hear are at the red X so there really is no way to get to the pink door as a group without dealing with the goblins in one way or another.

What you know:
1) The Goblins have a settlement somewhere around here. You've done some damage by taking out at least three groups of sentries and you've taking one goblin hostage.

2)The Kobolds also have a settlement that you've toured.

3)The Goblins are currently attacking the Kobolds. You're not sure where exactly but the whole complex is small enough that you hear the sounds of fighting.

Akula, Kessai - Can you re-work your posts along these lines?

The goblin shakes his head and whispers. "No no. It is ahead of us now. It was behind you when you fought me."

I marked the room he's talking about in pink. Akula already marked this door with chalk earlier so it's not giving away too much. You guys are approximately in the green circle.

So what's the plan Akula?

The goblin whips its head around in all directions at all of these big people surrounding it. "But but but why would they surrender? They don't know you...I don't think I could convince them that you are a bigger threat than Durrn."

Borux clearly looks like he would rather be just about anywhere else than where he is right now.

If Meepo wasn't so worried about the ongoing fight in the kobold caves, he would be enjoying watching the goblin squirm. His eyes settle on the goblin and he says in Goblin, "Now that my big friends have your attention, maybe you could also tell us where my dragon is."

Borux looks even more miserable if that is possible. "The dragon was a mistake. The one that took it, could not control it and now it has its own lair. You must have passed it before you attacked my group."

I realized this morning that Meepo would definitely have pushed this question almost right away...but your friendly GM forgot

GM Roll:
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3

Akula creeps up to the corner. There remains signs of the party's earlier battle including blood stains and at least one goblin body. The makeshift barrier that Akula knocked over remains partially demolished (mechanically it is no longer difficult terrain but could provide a small cover bonus). On the other side of the barrier are two goblins speaking animatedly and gesturing roughly in the direction of the kobold halls.

Meanwhile, back with the rest of the group...

Sense Motive DC12:
Hearing the goblins speaking animatedly around the corner is having an effect on Borux. While none of you can quite make out the words of the conversation, he has begun fidgeting. It's impossible to tell whether any threat you make will keep him quiet if he gets close to his kin.

Anybody but Akula can roll that

For the last few minutes, Borux has been anxiously scratching his arms, to the extent that he has broken the skin in a few places. Once Kessai's question is translated, he says "CAPTIVE!". Realizing that was louder than he intended, he whispers "captive captive".

Meepo stares off toward the other kobolds as the sounds of fighting escalate. "Strange indeed that the fighting is like this..."

You work your way back around to the northeast, past the sealed door you failed to open and the first dried up fountain. The door to the first goblin barrier is once again closed. Akula carefully checks it and begins sneaking forward. The first barrier is still unguarded and the goblin bodies are still where you left them. But from here, you can clearly hear the sound of at least 2 goblin voices coming from the second barrier.

From here, the sounds of fighting in the kobold areas have died off but worry is still evident on Meepo's face. Borux also remains in your company.

Please be clear on what you do...or don't do with your goblin captive.

So, I wanted to push the action forward but I don't see a clear direction yet. Kessai and Mal kind of mentioned trying to go around and use the goblin attack as a distraction to move forward. If I don't hear any other opinions by later today I'll just push the story that way.

OK. I'm finally back. Let's get this back on track!

Meepo nods vigorously at Julio's description. [b]"She is our joy and our pride. You think the cage too small? We did not notice. Perhaps we will need a new one.

From where you are you can certainly loop north and then west the way you originally fought through the goblin barriers. Is that the plan? I get back from Europe tomorrow so my posting rate should return to normal.

Borux, looking very nervous at this turn of events keeps his mouth shut. For his part, Meepo speaks up and says, "That's Yusdrayl's magicks. Strange that it didn't stop the fighting though...Are you thinking Calcryx is unguarded?"

I am traveling for work this week in Europe so posting will be a bit less consistent than usual...depending on how the jet lag goes.

Meepo begins to get up and says, "Goblinses attack sometimes. We are not without defenses. The bounders will be trying to hold until Yusdrayl comes and ends it..."

Almost on cue, what can only be the sound of an explosion comes from the direction of the battle. For now though, the sounds of more mundane fighting continues...along with the occasional growl in Draconic or Goblin.

As of yet, there is no sign of attack where you are.

It's quiet around here. What's going on?

Blitz makes a recommendation and leads the party back the way they came, doubling back past the long hall with the torches and the pair of barriers now surrounded by multiple dead goblin bodies and finally past the boarded up doorway and bloody tracks on the floor where you encountered the strange birdlike crone.

It does not take long to get a new fire started, although the lack of ventilation makes the air thicken with smoke. Apparently there are natural air currents, though and the air remains easily breathable. The party sets a watch order and rests.

Go ahead and make your rest adjustments to HP, spells and the like. Mark off one day's rations for each PC. Now that you've lost Savien and gained 2 prisoners, Julio, Blitz and Akula will have to pick up the slack from their individual stashes.

GM Roll:
1d5 ⇒ 3

Julio draws the final lot for a watch and so it is him who hears the yelling begin. It sounds like it is coming from the direction of the main kobold halls (towards Yusdrayl). It isn't long before he hears the sound of steel on steel echoing down the hall.

The party stirs awake, looking at Julio for information on what is happening. Borux sits stairing at Julio, eyes wide (for a goblin).

Blitz -

Hope you start feeling better soon. That does not sound fun.

Everybody -

As I see it you have at least a couple resting options.

1) rest in place is always an option
2) Go rest more toward the NE corner of the map towards the rat nest that you cleaned out.
3) Go rest by Meepo's fire.
4) Get out and see the sky, rest outside.

Otherwise you can just push on. Somebody make a call and let's go with it. I promise you won't all die right away :).

The goblins eyes grow large as it hears the threats translated to it. "B...B...Borux. Of the Durbuluk tribe. What do I do then? I can leave but I can't get past the kobolds by myself! Every time we want to leave we have to push through the kobolds with swords. Now you've killed many of our fighters..."

The little humanoid looks pitiful. It's hard to tell but you think it may be pale from loss of blood. It thinks it is being kicked out of its home...

"Let me go...help me leave...Durnn's throne is that way...he points vaguely northwest. There are two doors to it. One from the east...you can get to it from the long room with the torches on the other side of that door..."...he is pointing to the door you came through.

"...the other door to his throne is from the south and comes from the village."

Meepo makes a strange clucking sound and answers, "Kobold halls are open to you. There are two routes there. We have traveled one, the other I don't know...What about the goblins? We've killed many and then there is that one..."...and he points to the goblin on its knees.

Kessai:
Thanks for being up front about it but I had that in mind. I thought about how I wanted to handle it but since there are at least a couple party members with Goblin language, I decided to simplify it for PbP as if the entire party actually participated in the conversation.

No problem if you want to rest...just pick a spot.

Mal:
Forgot to respond about the disease. Indeed I missed that fine print. You are cured!

The goblin's head sways back and forth and it responds immediately in goblin, "Not children but a brother and sister and a holy warrior. The three fought like devils when we cornered them. Durnn punished the brother to hurt the sister and then we had to send them on because Belak wanted them. They should be down in the grove but we haven't seen them in a while. You want to go there?" The goblin cackles, then coughs and some blood is coating its lips.

"I wish you Lamashtu's luck to get there. Durnn's throne sits on the passage...", he gestures vaguely to the northwest, "...and I've never travelled to the grove. I'm not going to take you to Durnn either. He'd kill me."

I'm walking a line here of answering and not answering your specific questions because Hypnotism only makes him two steps better - from Hostile to Indifferent.

DC 14 Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9
Will Save? More like Won't Save...am I right?
Duration: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4
To make it more amenable to PbP, you can ask 4 questions

The goblin's attention is all over the place but keeps returning to the witch. Then, all at once, it begins to focus completely on the woman.

Quick poll regarding XP:

Do you guys want me to:

a) Continue the way I've been doing it and just track it on the side with no/little feedback
b) Tell you when you earn XP

And with one well aimed stab, Blitz jams his blade through the muscle around the "dog's" shoulder and right into the thing's heart. It lets out a wet sigh as it slumps to the ground.

Combat over

Picking through the bodies, you come across a total of 75 gold pieces, mostly held by the goblin you assume to be the leader. In addition the gold chain he is wearing looks like it should be worth between 100 and 200 gold.

None of the weapons wielded by the goblins appear to be worth anything.

Meepo says, "Shhh", and presses his ear to the door leading north.

GM Rolls:

1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3

After a moment, he shakes his head and says in a low voice, "You guys are too loud. There's too many goblins around to keep this up forever."

So, you have a prisoner and one door leading east and one door leading north back the way you came.

Julio finally gets into the fray and trips over his feet in his attempt to attack.

Blitz's strike also goes wide although it seems the wild rodent is living on borrowed time...

Akula leans over and grabs Mal'kolenth's ankle. A warm glow emanates from the touch momentarily before subsiding.

Mal'kolenth wakes up to find the fight still raging around him. He sees the mangy beast's leg not one foot from his face and his new companions seem to be surrounding it. He feels like hell...if hell were an extremely itchy place.

Mal:
See my note previously about the Allergic Reaction status effect

The goblin stays on its knees, totally cowed by the witch standing over him...although he is trying to sneak looks back at what is happening.

Kessai's swing goes wide. It's clear that while her confinement makes her more than willing to engage in fisticuffs, her training lies elsewhere.

The remaining goblin takes one look over its shoulder...
Morale: 1d6 ⇒ 1
...and begins to turn toward the door...only to see it closed by a small kobold. The goblin drops to its knees and drops its sword.

Goblin:

As Mal fades to unconsciousness, he begins feeling a crawling itching sensation. Then all is black.

Allergic Reaction (Ex):
A goblin dog's dander is highly irritating to all creatures save those with the goblinoid subtype. A non-goblinoid creature damaged by a goblin dog's bite, who deals damage to a goblin dog with a natural weapon or unarmed attack, or who otherwise comes into contact with a goblin dog (including attempts to grapple or ride the creature) must make a DC 12 Fortitude save or break out in an itching rash. A creature affected by this rash takes a –2 penalty to Dexterity and Charisma for 1 day (multiple allergic reactions do not stack). Remove disease or any magical healing removes the rash instantly. This is a disease effect. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Blitz does much better this time, getting his weapon up and drawing it across the throat of the goblin. It collapses to the ground, quite dead.

Akula sees the goblin fall and then channels his inner Gozreh. He moves to the lead goblin, raising his axe high. The small creature only has time to glance briefly over its shoulder before the axe comes down, sundering it nearly in two.

Mal - Just redirecting your attack here since the goblin is dead.
Mal'kolenth manages to redirect his strike through a spray of goblin blood at the large beast to his side. His sword slices through the skin along the front of the monster, leaving a shallow cut.

Julio enters the room. Meepo takes one look backward and then follows, shutting the door behind him.

Julio moves a bit and asks about the yelling.

Meepo nods his head and says, "Meh. It's just an alarm. They are afraid for their lives." He then makes a tsking sound with his mouth and says to Julio, "I was going to suggest closing the door but you seem to be blocking it."

Mal'kolenth:
Sorry - didn't notice you had goblin.Beyond the general alarm Meepo mentioned, the goblin you are fighting is also doing his best to direct the goblin dog. The dog isn't really following his instructions but doesn't need much incentive to attack.

Kessai shifts her spear to her left hand and launches an armored punch at the goblin. The little guy is just a little too fast however.

Blitz slashes with his scizore and indeed misses gloriously, the hardened steel strikes the stone floor with a clang and sprays the goblin with a handful of sparks.

The shouting goblin pushes Akula's attention back the way the party came momentarily.

Akula:
You don't see or hear anything coming from that direction, but you do know the door you heard commotion behind when you were checking them all is just to the west.

He raises his greataxe and brings it down on the goblin. For such a large weapon wielded with such force, it is shocking that it did not do more damage this time.

Mal'kolenth continues dancing with his foe, slashing it across the chest.

HA! I didn't even think about that being confusing. Yes, you found

-a set of masterwork studded leather that has a large black X sewn onto its back
-a masterwork longsword that has a band of deep black metal halfway up the length

I'll try to be clearer...if you try to level up your character before I accidentally kill him. :)

Faced with two targets rushing the room in front of it, the goblin nearest the door...
1d2 ⇒ 2
...thrusts its sword at Blitz.
Shortsword: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Damage!: 1d4 ⇒ 4

The lead goblin in the rear of the room barks out a command to his pet and steps to the side, slashing at Mal.
Shortsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
...but gets its attack all wrong...
DC12 Wisdom Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
...and then begins shouting in goblin.

The beast circles around the other side and lunges at Mal...
Bite+Flanking: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
DC12 Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
That's a Pass

Environmental Note - The party can read this:
The lead goblin has begun shouting. Its shouts are being directed over the party's head and back the way they came.

Julio cheers the party on from his vantage point.

Akula shoulders aside the goblin trying to block the doorway...
Shortsword to the gut?: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
...the goblin jabs its sword at Akula but the big man dodges with ease. Akula then liberates the poor goblins head from its shoulders.

Akula:
Still waiting on you to level up

Mal'kolenth begins moving supernaturally fast and bursts into the room after Akula. He is sprayed with goblin blood as Akula fells the first foe in front of him.
Shortsword jab!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
The second goblin manages to raise its sword but does not get anywhere close to the fast moving drow. Mal's strike though goes wide on the lead goblin.

Blitz moves up, stepping past the dead goblin and slashing at the next one in line.

Meepo moves up and leans over to Julio to ask, "Do you think I should have just fixed the woman's spear?"

Environmental Note:
So far this quick combat has not raised too much of a ruckus...

Kessai reacts quickly, acting on a blend of instinct and hatred for her former captors.

Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5

She bursts into the room, all semblance of caution gone.

Goblins Turn

The small green humanoids scramble quickly to their feet. The one with the gold chain around its neck barks some orders and the three nearest the party converge on the door and surround Kessai, drawing their weapons in the process. Kessai, for her part raises her damaged spear and thrusts at the nearest goblins as it approaches.

AoO/damaged spear: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 - 2 = 8

The lead goblin draws a shortbow and takes a shot through the crowd at Akula.

Shortbow/Into Melee/Cover: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

The shot goes wild and the goblin spits out what sounds like a curse. He the gestures to his beast and it comes to heel at his feet, growling at the party.

Kessai:
Feel Free to move yourself on the map

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Akula opens the door. The stench, garbage, rotted carrion, and half-eaten legs of strange animals speak of the years of use by unsanitary tenants. Tattered hides form six unstable hammocks slung up with makeshift spikes in the wall. Battered cooking equipment lies mixed indiscriminately with broken or worn arms and armor.

I'll assume Akula was taking 10 on Stealth as usual while opening the door.

Do they see you?:

1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Four goblins are sitting in a circle throwing dice. In the far corner, a mangy creature that looks like a cross between a dog and a rat lays half asleep. Instinct more than anything causes one of the goblins to look up and gasp in surprise. There is something different about this goblin...an intelligence in its eyes...and a sizable gold chain around its neck.

Initiative:

Blue Goblin: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Gray Goblin: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Red Goblin: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Green Goblin*: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Goblin Dog: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Kessai: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Akula: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Julio: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Blitz: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Meepo: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Mal’Kolenth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Kessai is the only one who beat the average initiative of the bad guys. Everybody go ahead and set yourself up on the map. Once Kessai moves the Goblins go and your places are set.
