Many mythic monsters are either resistant or entirely immune to attacks from non-mythic creatures and weapons. 1/ So a party without non-mythic weapon can't fight the oozeshard ? This doesn't give any special access to their thoughts and communicates no more information than normal speech would. For telepathy, the character must know a langague that the creature know ?
