3)An "Engineer" class with bombs, various tools/weapons/gadgets, is proficient with all simple weapons, all crossbows, all guns, and tech based weapons.

4)A "Wildling" class that is like Tarzan/jungle girl. Has d10HD/full BA, no spell casting, monk like AC but uses Cha instead of wisdom, adds Cha mod to will saves, good fort and ref saves, 6+Int skill points, and various favored terrain based abilities.

These I highly agree with, and I would like to add my two cents to these ideas.

Shapeshifter While you can theoretically have a spell caster with shapeshifting attributes, I do believe that an actual class who's main focus is shapeshifting is an excellent idea. Perhaps there can be a system similar to the sorcerer's bloodline or the oracle's mysteries, i.e., different ways that the shapeshifter can utilize. Can be themed into the world as odd people with immense determination and dreams. I can see the most likely of the races to follow this path would be half-elves and half-orcs, along with aasimars and teiflings. Examples include:

-Dragon shifter: Allows the shapeshifter to gain energy type resistances, natural attacks, breath attacks, wings for flying, and immense strength; suitable for a mix of melee and ranged attacks, depending on what the player wants.

-Aberrant shifter: Allows the shapeshifter to use some weird abilities, from resistances to various effects (like nauseated or blindness), unique natural attacks (like slam attacks from tentacles), and maybe even more odd abilities.

Engineer Perhaps a more melee version of the gunslinger, though not entirely. Perhaps able to, at later levels, apply unique qualities/abilities to his weapons (from making attacks with guns more likely to make the target bleed to allowing weapons a chance to deal damage while ignoring damage reduction). Races I think could work with this class (in RP themes of course) are humans, and maybe dwarves, half-elves and half-orcs.

Wildling Although we have something like this in the form of the Feral Child druid archetype for humans, I think that this should, honestly, replace that archetype. This is the most likely class that could be a hybrid class-while still having abilities of its own, this class could carry themes from the druid/ranger classes and the monk class. Pretty much any race from areas that have more wilderness than civilization can follow this path.

Again, these three classes are the ones that I personally think Pathfinder could utilize within the game.

I like to see this as the most sensible answer. If dragons had the intelligence of animals, I would've supported the idea that dragons use hoards of treasures as nesting materials, but since dragons are as smart as (if not smarter than) most humanoids, I believe that they use hoards of treasures to pretty much say, "Hey look, I took all of this treasure for myself, worship me". Smaug from The Hobbit fits into this answer the best. Though I also wouldn't be surprised if both the ideas for nesting materials and sign of superiority can be applied.
Even intelligent beings can have strong instincts. It's easily possible it is both and any explanation a dragon gives you will emphasize the intellectual reason and deemphasize/ignore the instinctual one.

I definitely agree with intelligent beings having strong instincts. It's human instinct to be a little unnerved by dark areas-especially if you have no idea what is/can be in the area. It's the instinct of preparing oneself for any kind of danger, no matter how big or small.

And also, in real life, male lions patrol the boarders of their territories not only to shoo away unwanted predators, like cheetahs, leopards or hyenas, but also to make sure no other males are wanting the pride. The behavior of any creature (real or imaginary) does not have to be one answer.

Scarab Sages

Although this sounds more like something that belongs under Advice, I think this is better here cause it's more of a curious topic.

If there's one type of character I like in various stories (whether it be movies or video games) is what I like to call the anti character-the evil, malicious version of the main hero. Where as the hero seeks out to stop law-breakers and bring peace and justice, anti characters seek to created chaos and destruction-at the very least. At most, the anti character can actively stalk the main character to make sure our hero fails; sometimes, the anti character likes to mess with the very psyche of the hero, killing his/her friends and family just for the sake of attempting to break the protagonist. Sometimes they try to kill the hero on sight, but other times they let our hero live, so that everything the anti character does will bring the protagonist closer and closer to their doom.

Now of course, the best case of an anti hero could be an antipaladin that, while looking like the paladin hero, acts immensely different. But even then, the antipaladin's goals against the paladin can vary-either he seeks to have her head to prove his evil ways are superior, or he slaughters the paladin's companions and loved ones just to emotionally torture her.

But what about characters of other classes/races? How can their anti counterparts be different?

This is where, if you want to talk about how an anti character can act, here's the place. Whether it's about your own PC and his/her evil reflection or about anti characters in general.

Oh this is gonna look incredible! I can't wait to see what's in store for the new classes!

Scarab Sages

Here's some humanoid races I found in the Dungeons and Dragons Monster Manual that I believe have potential for being playable races. Here's my take on them.

Yuan-Ti

The original soldiers for the Serpentfolk during their reign, the Yuan-Ti (said to be translated as "the Warrior") are a race of humanoid snakes that have some similar attributes to their previous masters. However, there are a few differences; one is that the Yuan-Ti have shorter necks, and all possess a hood, similar to a cobra's. They also have much more muscle than serpentfolk, and they rarely use magic. It is unknown how the Yuan-Ti came to be, but now they live in small pockets of the world, trying to discover their place in a world where their masters are on the verge of extinction.

Racial Traits (Yuan-Ti)

+2 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma: Yuan-Ti are mobile and have sharp instincts, but can be easily agitated.
Size: Medium
Base Speed: 30 ft
Languages: Start with Common and Draconic. Yuan-Ti with high Intelligence scores can select the following as bonus languages: Abyssal, Giant, Goblin, Ignan, and Undercommon.
Yuan-Ti are Humanoids with the Reptilian subtype.
Low-Light Vision
Intimidating (+2 on Intimidate checks)
Ancient Foe (+2 dodge bonus to AC & +2 on Combat Maneuver checks to grapple when battling creatures of the Humanoid (dwarf) type)
Weapon Familiarity (all Yuan-Ti are proficient with scimitars and shortbows (including composite shortbows))

Dragonspawn

Now considered to be extinct by many scholars, the vaguely humanoid beings known as dragonspawn came to be of existence thanks to the Rune Lords. Knowing that many of the giants that were enslaved to them were too stupid and too big to do some tasks, so they took in humans (both willingly and unwillingly) and used certain spells-in addition to the flesh of dragons-to change the humans' soft skin into rigid scales, their flat faces into dragon-like mouths, and increased strength. Thus the dragonspawn was born-foot soldiers to the Rune Lords who were forced to do their bidding. When the Rune Lords disappeared, the dragonspawn quickly retreated to parts unknown, knowing that they would never fit into their home. Now they are a rare race, and prefer to stay that way-until their masters return and take their homes back...

[b]Racial Traits{/b}

+2 Strength, -2 Dexterity, -4 Intelligence, +2 Charisma: Dragonspawn are mighty and persuasive, but are slow and dim-witted.
Size: Medium
Base Speed: 30 ft
Languages: Start with Draconic only. Dragonspawn with high Intelligence can select the following languages: Celestial, Common, Giant, and Undercommon.
Dragonspawn are Humanoids with the dragonspawn subtype.
Darkvision 60ft
Illusion Resistance (+2 on save throws against illusion spells/effects)
Dragon-Scaled (pick one type of dragon from the following; once chosen it cannot be changed. Player gains a resistance of 5 when selecting the following dragons; Black or Green-Acid resistance 5; Blue-Electicity resistance 5; Red-Fire resistance 5; White-Cold resistance 5)
Natural Armor (+1 natural to AC)
Hatred (+1 on attack rolls against humanoids of the dwarf and human subtypes)

Critic is highly recommended.

I'm making some monsters based off of the original Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual (the monsters that aren't in Pathfinder) and here's what I've come up with so far:

-Beholder (CE Medium [male]/Large [female] aberration) [worshipers of Rovagug and the Old Gods; tyrants and slave masters]
-Fomorian (CE Huge fey) [
-Yuan-Ti (NE Medium humanoid (reptilian)) [similar to serpentfolk, only have shorter necks, cobra frills, and immense muscular bodies; new Playable Race; guardians/soldiers of the serpentfolk empire]
-Dragonspawn (CN Medium humanoid (dragonspawn)) [reptilian humanoids with dragon-like attributes; were created by the Rune Lords as foot soldiers; new Playable Race]

I'm gonna make their stats soon. But any other ideas that you guys want me to make? I'm open to suggestions.

Oh yes, I forgot to put in the holy symbols of the deities, as well as the deities favored animals:

Ragoren: The symbol of Ragoren is a wood-carved great sword with a skull embedded in it. Favored Animals: scorpions, vipers, poisonous toads and other venomous creatures. A sign of good favor from Ragoren is a successful raid or hunt. A sign of his hatred is a plague of poisonous toads or an attack from a human-sized scorpion.

Taevina: The symbol of Taevina is a glass sculpture of a book. Favored Animals: Pigeons, hawks, oxen, and other messenger animals and beasts of burden. A sign of bless from Taevina is a message of good faith. A sign of her distress or anger is a natural disaster, like a tornado or a sandstorm, happening to a messenger.

Vearnikar: The symbol of Vearnikar is the draco symbol (a serpent silhouette with bat wings). Favored Animals: alligators and crocodiles, monitor lizards, turtles and tortoises and other reptiles. A sign of happiness from Vearnikar is a warm, sunny day with a light breeze. A sign of rage from him is a flash flood or similarly disastrous event (like a rock slide or avalanche in mountainous regions, or a wild fire in a grassland or forest).

Scarab Sages

Male Half-Elf Wizard (Evoker) 1

Okay It'll take a Knowledge (religion) check. Here are the results:

Knowledge (religion) check DC 10

Check result 10:
Ragoren is the patron god of various giants, mainly fire giants and ogres, as well as orcs. He represents intimidation, enslavement, and the power of the earth itself.

Check result 15:
Ragoren is said to have been a member of the army for Rovagug, the Destroyer. It is stated that his great sword was sharp enough to cut through stars, and that his strength can shatter planets. Surprisingly, he was an enemy of the Rune Lords, and the kingdom of Thassilon had a law that forbid giants to worship their patron god.

Check result 20:
Ragoren was banished by an unknown hybrid of gold dragon and silver dragon; although the giant god was able to slay the dragon, he was sent to the area that the Old Gods themselves are said to inhabit. Many worshipers whisper of a prophecy that his heir will destroy the remaining area of Thassilon, and then, all of Golarion will be enslaved by the giants.

Here are the deities and new weapon

Ragoren (aka, the Immortal Giant) Domains: Chaos, Destruction, Earth, Evil, and War. Alignment: Chaotic Evil. Portfolio: Black Ogre-like, with red flaming eyes; God of enslavement, giants, and devastation. In the Kodar Mountains, the orcs and ogres tell of an all-mighty ogre-like god with the strength to shatter continents. His name, Ragoren, comes from the Giant word rago, "king", and ren, "earth/world"; his name literally translates in Giant to "king of earth/king of the world". The evil giants, like ogres, trolls, and fire giants, worship him like a war hero, praying that he will return to flatten the smaller races; orcs also worship him as a symbol of power and intimidation. Good giants, however, view him as a curse, or (to frost, rune, and taiga giants) as a hoax. In a climatic battle between him and Vearnikar (see below), he was outcast to the realm of the Old Gods. His favored weapon is the great sword.

Taevina (aka, Shelyn's Advisor) Domains: Air, Community, Good, Knowledge, and Nobility. Alignment: Neutral Good. Portfolio: phoenix-like goddess, golden colored; Goddess of information, messages, and communication. To some of the churches of Shelyn, the clerics say that she has a companion, named Taevina (Celestial for "the messenger"), who flies throughout the afterlife, and to other gods, to send messages and receive information. Her favored weapon is the short bow.

Vearnikar (aka, the Holy Dragon) Domains: Animal, Fire, Good, Law, and Rune. Alignment: Lawful Good. Portfolio: snow-white dragon w/ humanoid-like posture; God of life, trust, and valor. One of the least known of all gods (besides the Peacock Deity), Vearnikar (a combination of Celestial and Draconic; translates as "the savior" and "the hero") was said to be the offspring of a gold dragon and a silver dragon; in life, he traveled across all of Golarion, smiting the evil and saving the innocent. However, he was slain when banishing the evil warlord god Ragoren; Aroden, seeing on how powerful the spirit of this dragon, made the dragon into a humanoid-like god. Thus, Vearnikar was the last creature to be turned into a god before Aroden's death. His favored weapon is the dragon's scythe (see below).

I also have a new weapon.

Name: Dragon's Scythe
Description: A pick with three spikes sticking out of one side.
Cost: 35 gp
Dmg (S): 1d6
Dmg (M): 1d8

Dmg Type: Slashing

Hey there. I was wondering on something...

I like the idea of wizards and alchemists as classes, but would it be smart to multiclass them together? The reason why I ask is because

1) They're spellcasting classes

2) They rely on high Intelligence scores

My character that I'm suggesting this for is Vyranos himself.

I actually went and checked because I thought he was one of your creations like the other gods. Weapon looks interesting. Trying to kill a giant cleric while he pours out waves of negative energy and smashes us with a great sword sounds fun.

Yup. This mysterious deity only appears in certain campaigns, most notably the Rise of the Runelords. What I love about it is that we don't know anything about it. Nothing.

Scarab Sages

well, you don't necessarily have to convert the Dark Folk into a playable race. What you could do is make a new playable race that has the dark folk subtype.

Scarab Sages

Okay here's the edited form (again) for the dragon's scythe.

Name: Dragon's Scythe
Description: A pick-like weapon with three spikes coming out of one side.
Cost: 55 gp

Dmg (M): 1d10
Type: One-handed Exotic Weapon
Critical: x3
Weight: 8 lbs (4 for Small characters)
Dmg Type: Slashing

Tinalles wrote:

Well, here's one I just came up with. No idea if it'll suit the player, or if it's properly balanced for level 1.

Quote:

Corrupt Mortality

School necromancy [evil]; Level cleric 1, sorcerer/wizard 1, witch 1
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (a pinch of silver dust)
Range touch
Target corporeal creature touched
Duration 24 hours
Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes

You infuse the target with a touch of negative energy, planting the seeds of undeath in its flesh. A target who dies while under the effects of this spell rises as a zombie 1d3 rounds later. You cannot create variant zombies using this spell. The zombie is not under your control, retains no memory of its former existence, and attacks the nearest living creature on rising.

Corrupt Mortality may be dispelled with Sanctify Corpse, even if the target is not dead.

I don't think it's entirely OP; maybe if it's available at level 2, perhaps? Either way, it's a great spell, and I would like to use this spell for a necromancer I'm coming up with.

The Quite-big-but-not-BIG Bad wrote:

I love the ideas and flavor! I might actually use some of it as inspiration for my own custom pantheon, especially Ragoren.

I'd be hesitant to give clerics a free Exotic Weapon Proficiency (with the exception of Whips, which suck without spending a whole lot of feats).

I don't really get why you gave Vaernikar the Animal domain instead of Scalykind, which seems a better fit with his draconic nature.

Lastly, the Dragon's Scythe's stats don't really fit the description. A scimitar-like weapon seems like it should crit more often, not deal more damage per crit. I'd go for a pick- or scythe-like weapon whose spike is curved like a scimitar or something similar. Possibly a pick with three spikes pointing in roughly the same direction, imitating the claws of a dragon.
[Edit]: a reversed scimitar, curving outward (pointing away from the wielder), might also fit quite well.

I edited the dragon's scythe to the pick-like weapon that you mention. And I'm glad that I gave you inspiration!

Do you have any preference or aversion to any specific monk archetypes?

Also, will the game be crafting (magic items) friendly... By RAW?

Related would be the FAQ allowing spell-like abilities to qualify a character for magic item crafting feats. Ex: a 3rd level teifling would qualify for Craft Wondrous Item feat, due to their Darkness spell-like ability and being CL3.

Well, I'm not sure what kind of monk archetype you want. Just give me what kind you want for your character, I'll look at it and decide if you can use it.

About the crafting of magical items...I have no idea what RAW is. So I believe the answer to that question is a no...at least not in early levels.

Hello. I want to make a few fan-made classes/archetypes of my own, but I am...not really sure on how to do that. Can anyone help?

Here's the class I'm making:

-Warlord/Warmonger: This is somewhat like a combination of the bard, the barbarian, and the monk. They wear light and medium armor, and are good fighters, but there best ability is the ability to 'empower' allies and weaken foes with mystical auras.

Here's the archetype I'm making:
-Tinker (based off of a class in World of Warcraft lore): This is an Alchemist archetype that makes the alchemist give up alchemy for machines. They still use bombs, but are used and made differently.
