We can't eat any part of anyone in a depressurized area. Though we may be able to figure out where to go to place the explosives if we do. Morgan's right. We can't eat anything in a depressurized area unless we plan on shoving brain morsels through some slot in our helmet. We'll have to go through the pressure doors.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I was constantly looking at the campaigns tab on my profile, but for some reason it wasn't updating. I was beginning to think this campaign had suddenly died as so many tend to do. Vultur, aware of their presence in the midst of enemy territory, signals that it might be a good idea to cease with open vox contact for now. He readies his silenced shotgun, throwing up hand signals that he volunteers himself to take point as they infiltrate through the inner door.

Vultur stays silent throughout most of the voyage, speaking mostly when it becomes necessary. He speaks up now as to their plans on the mission. "Yes, it'd be foolish to make our insertion before our primary objective has entered the fray. We must be silent, brothers. It's best to remain malleable during these operations and remove ourselves from... dogmatic thinking. We must move in, either first destroy the Tau ship or assassinate the envoy, depending on which ship they shall be meeting on. If they meet on the Tau ship, it might be possible to remotely detonate the enemy ship and fell the two in one single swoop. If it is the other ship, however, we will need to find which option, destruction of the ship or assassination of the two envoys will be more tactically significant. Brother Joshua is right, however. If we do elect to assassinate them during the meeting of the two, there will be fewer places to hide. IF we also need destroy the evidence we might also place the remains on the Tau ship before it is detonated."

Vultur shrugs his pale arms. He speaks softly, his voice a wispy rasp. "And I'm sure the Emperor appreciates it. I have no problem with you as the leader, but do keep in mind I have more experience in stealth-craft than any of our brothers here. Glory or not, there is a right way and a wrong way to approach this mission. We keep things quiet for as long as possible. I've seen what delusions of grandeur can do to a mission."

Vultur sits quietly throught he discussions, keeping a stern eye on the proceedings. He seems to bristle at his fellow Astartes's lack of a complete understanding of proper stealth-work, but he says nothing. It's only when the oath of glory is mentioned he seems unnerved enough to speak up. "Glory? You speak of glory, Ultramarine? This is not some common parade drill; it's an assassination. We are meant to sow discord, plant the seeds of dissolution in the enemy and quickly and efficiently remove high-profile targets from the broad picture of the crusade front, and yet you speak of glory. I might be willing to participate in a stealth mission wherein parameters may have us compromising our cover for certain objectives, and even to conduct the mission with my fellow brothers whose stealth capabilities might just need some work, but if we all go into this spouting our hymns of glory there might just be a rude wake-up call right around the time we're sticking a knife in a defenseless worthless xeno scum's neck." Just to clarify, I personally have no problem with taking an oath of glory or any of our decisions thus far as far as the mission goes. This is just a little bit of roleplaying and I'm not nor will I ever try to be insulting personally. Trust me, Corbulo, you can rebuke my claims (and there's a lot to rebuke, and Vultur will accept them as any disciplined space marine would. I really wish I knew what to spend the other points on besides demo charges, but if that's all we can think of, lets spend away.

Alright, here's my requisition. I also think it'd be a good idea if we want to blow up the ship that a bunch of us also bring demo charges. Astartes Stun Grenade - 10

Brother Vultur holds his steely gaze at the watch captain, seeming not to blink. His voice is a cool baritone, quiet yet forceful. Once he's heard the other's questions he asks his rapid-fire, waiting for a response to each before moving on to the next. "What intelligence do we have on the dimensions and structure of the Xyclorian ship? How large will the ship be and what kind of armaments will it possess? I'm assuming we'll use transport to infiltrate under the xenos' noses. Will we be infiltration through a jump onto the ship's hull? If so then using scout armor will be out of the question. Will we need to drill through the outer hull or will we need to find a landing pad within the ship to enter through? Finally, how will our exfiltration be handled?" When all his questions have been answered, Vultur leans back in his seat, speaking no more and maintaining his unerring gaze. |
