Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Ulgulanoth,
If you, as GM, go to the 'campaign' tab, you can make characters inactive: which would be handy for me and helps clear up campaigns with dead characters.
Glad to see the campaign is still going strong without me.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Hey guys/gals,
I'm in a lot of pbp at the moment and I have been thinking for a while that I should reduce that. I'm not sure why (probably the character I made) but this is the game I feel least invested in so I'm going to bow out from the game.
I hope that isn't too much of a pain for anyone: feel free to have Voronwe make a suicidal monster-rush to try and save Sunset.
See you in another game sometime.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Looks like an extra +6 for Durgen to roll with.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
My Aid Another
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
I don't know what the guards' strength is, so I'll roll blank and let Ulgulanoth add any bonus.
1d20 ⇒ 1
1d20 ⇒ 4
1d20 ⇒ 12
1d20 ⇒ 5
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Right, let's be calm about this.
I begin organising three or four guards to help lift the man up.
We should be able to let Durgen roll then with 6 aid-another attempts: me, 4 guards and Hiro pushing.
Is the guard taking bleed damage or is he okay? If he's awake then he can contribute to the effort as well.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Makes sense to me.
I look around in the air again: It seems we have mysterious friends, and mysterious enemies.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Hmmm...
I rub my ear thoughtfully.
Then I wait, when we wake up I talk quietly to Hiro
You understand magic, Hiro. What do you think of this pendant?
I show the pendant to Hiro.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
I take a look around the camp and then wander over and peer up into the tree's branches.

ulgulanoth wrote: well since Voronwe's disapeared, how about the rest of you guys roll a perception check? Sorry, not disappeared, just not a lot I can do about it. Should have posted anyway, apologies.
I keep a weather eye on the something.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
perception1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
I'll take dusk, to take advantage of my low-light vision.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
I already decided to get supplies. Otherwise, I'm done.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
ulgulanoth wrote: So if she only watches how come she makes a diplomacy check? looks? Reassuring presence?
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
diplomacy check 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
No sadly I have no talent for the magical arts.
I shrug widely: We travel to consult the wisdom of the Twilight Academy, strange deeds are afoot.
I can do diplomacy checks, if you'd like.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Strength in numbers.
I approach the mages, asking if they would like to travel together with our company?
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
diplomacy1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Any caravans heading out toward the Twilight Academy?
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
I guess it's a long journey so we should get trail rations in Sandpoint and look out for a caravan we can join which is going that way.
In Sandpoint, I will also look up the sherrif to warn him about what we encountered.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
My people could assess it, but it is a long road.
I turn the bronze mace over in my hands: This appears to be Vudrani...
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Bronze weapons... how odd? Maybe they'll give us a clue as well.
I pick up one of the maces and examine it.
perception, just in case
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Wow, he ran right on to it!
I clean my blade: This stuff must be important, we should see what we can find out about it.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
We've got some good melee synthesis potential starting to show, I think.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)

edit: entering the wrong dice on your damage can be eye-popping!
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Oops, forgot you were enlarged.
I have updated the map here.

I will close to 5' on the skeleton with the box. He should provode an AoO to leave.
I will hit him hoping to flank him.

If you are flanking with me then you get +2 to hit and +1d6 to damage this round.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
ulgulanoth wrote: Right so Durgen is on the floor, and one of the skeletons has the box
Hiro your turn
Durgen still needs to have his turn, doesn't he?
Attack of opportunity happened, he is down, but he can do things (stand, attack, crawl, talk...)
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
I enjoy putting them together, any time we have an encounter I can do a map: it really helps tactical characters to use their abilities in pbp and the light features are a fantastic way of putting you in the moment.
Please, when I do them they will be based upon your description but I might miss things or misunderstand: always let me know what to change.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Assuming Durgen isn't going anywhere: I step up behind a foe, flanking him with Durgen.
Durgen, let's keep him on his toes.
Activating tactician ability so that Durgen and I can both use precise strike (both get +1d6 sneak attack).
attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
damage 1d8 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 3 + (1) = 5
I have updated the map with our moves, see here.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Ulgulanoth, would you like us to have a map?
I am working on improving my maptools-fu.
Map is here, tell me if you want people moving to other co-ordinates.
The shading shows areas of light and dim-light. All of our vision types are bundled though so we all get the benefit of Durgen's darkvision and Voronwe's low-light vision.
The skeletons are in t9 and t10, not completely easy to see but they should do.

"Sunset" wrote: *Coughs* Uhm...yeah...about that starting class..... >_>
I'll actually be taking 'Gunslinger' as a class at 2nd level...(-_-)
Looks like it'll be just 'Thumpy' Sunset for a while. :P
Cool, you can become a gunslinger in character: working on the gun until you understand it well enough to repair it = first level of gunslinger.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Gunslingers can fix their own guns, can't they?
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
*sigh*
I wonder to myself: Why does it always come to this?
initiative 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
I snatch up my sword and shield, leaving my armour behind, and move to flank one of the creatures.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Hey, um... what?
perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Which puts me last: I prefer dusk or dawn anyway.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
I also peer down: Dammit, can we go round?
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
After fussing Perseval for a moment I come back into the cave: No other tracks outside, as far as I can see.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Realising our problems, I search for other tracks outside the cave.
survival 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Ulgulanoth,
Will my horse fit through the caves, or should I leave him behind?
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
I cautiously examine the cave, wondering if Perseval will fit or should I leave the horse outside.
Undeath is such a corruption. For all we know this may have been a noble soul in life. I sigh loudly: We must follow this taint to its source and root it out.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Assuming there is space, I join the assault with a measured slice at the creature.
attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
initiative 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
I'll have come up within charge range, armed and ready. I don't think he's going to be surprised if things get ugly.
How much space is there around our foe? How large is the cave entrance? How deep is he within? What can we see?
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
...and your repentance?
I turn to my new companions: He's buying time for them.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
I hesitate in the doorway.
Who are you? What are you?
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
As we near the creature, I whisper a small prayer to Andoletta.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Hmmm...
I approach in an arc, going around the tripwire Durgen has pointed out and looking for others:
perception, if necessary 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
I have my sword drawn and shield on my arm. Perseval I will leave on the edge of the clearing.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Ah, right: I will now internally insert into my backstory a chat with a local at the Hagfish, who explained that there had been a jailbreak and the half-elf and dwarf were hunting them down.
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
So... I am pretty confused now.
I didn't read back on the game because my character might not know that stuff.
Unless I have missed something massive, Voronwe just walked into Sandpoint and said hi to some folks.
Now we're about to smash up some geezers because of 'death and destruction'!
Throw me a bone here, what's going on?
Male Elf Cavalier 1 (Order of the Dragon)
Maybe we should go say hello?
I look around at my peers with a shrug.
That old man's fear was all too real but for all we know these could be some strange folk he simply doesn't understand. I'm not too keen on leaping to attack people before they've done anything wrong.
