Any idea if the 3rd Gate Attenuator is still supposed to be a +2 item bonus? I feel like they missed bumping the text to +3 for that.

At that level, they also hit Legendary for Impulses. Even with +2 instead of +3, they're still 1 ahead of everyone except the Fighter and Gunslinger with attack rolls.

You forgot that investing in skills is now mostly pointless other than qualifying for skill feats. Going from Trained to Legendary gives you a whopping +3. Also, Half-Elf(Speed) with Ancestral Paragon(Nimble) seems like a clear best option for any 1st lvl character that wants to get into melee. INT is probably the worst stat now because lol, what skill bonuses? Everyone starting out with with more HP makes CON matter less. So STR, DEX, and WIS are the stats that really matter.
I will point out that everyone effectively has full BAB now.

I'm having trouble with the search feature in the store. It just resets the page instead of searching. Use Desktop version has no effect. Chrome 64.0.3282.137 on Android 6.0

Of course you have to own the source for the creatures you summon. As has been noted the Bestiary is not part of the core assumption therefore you need to own it to use anything printed in it. Of course I'm not likely to question someone at my table to see if they have it unless something seems fishy with the character, but if I knew for sure they didn't own the source I wouldn't allow them to summon. As a GM my responsibility is to prep for the scenario I'm running not to provide stats for whatever random thing my players may or may not bring to the table. If someone wants to use a spell, item, feat, trait, or any other game option they need to own the source and be prepared when they use it. Obviously you don't need to bring your Bestiary with you. Write the critters stats down on whatever you want, just have have one of the various ways of proving you own the source.

Thanks for proving my point about some GMs, but as Bob is the Venture-Coordinator for my region, I'll trust him over you.

Thanks Bob, that's what I thought. Apparently some GMs think you need to own the "Source" of the creatures that are summoned by the spell.

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

As things like Summon Monster 1 and a Druid are in the CRB, I would think that the core assumption would be enough to use them in PFS as long as you have the stats for them from the PFSRD on hand. Apparently, there are many who believe that in order to use many of the options in the core rule book, you must also own the bestiary. This seems a stretch to me, but I was wondering if there was an official stance on this.

You can still be a tiefling.

You can freely hop into unchained. And you absolutely 99.44% sure should do so.

Where's the new venue? I'll toss you up on the map

I'd moved to a new city where there was no PFS about 4 years ago, but just found out a new group has started up here. I have a lvl 2 tiefling rogue I haven't played and want to update to Unchained. The GM here said he wasn't sure if I could remain tiefling if I did a rebuild and to ask about it here. Also, I read the blog but am still not sure exactly what all I'm allowed to change. Traits, skillpoints, ability scores, archetype or just turn the regular rogue levels into Unchained Rogue?
