Don't be afraid to toss in something that specifically challenges that PC every once in a while (e.g. if he's an archer, try a fight in a windy area).
What I don't like is the idea that being well-prepared or using good tactics actually makes your life harder because the DM starts throwing tougher and tougher encounters at you. I've had that happen in the past and it was a turn-off for me. Hopefully you can avoid that with your players. Absolute;y!, Id rather it be an easy encounter than have the appearance of picking on him. in on game he is also the repair expert and he hand to stop an engine from exploding while the other PC's had to actually fight.
thanks for the ideas, its not specifically a Pathfinder problem Yet ((will be running pathfinder once i know the rules better :> )
I especially like the idea of throwing the spotlight on other players hear and there in a fight, giving them some sort of specific advantage suitable to their character

Hi all,
I wanted to get some opinions on a situation I have as a GM. I have a great group of Role players and are competent at building their characters But I have one player, Although a great Role player himself Optimizes his character (within the rules) so well that in fights he just breeze trough the challenges while the others are appropriately threatened/challenged.
How do I make the game challenging for Him with out killing the rest of the group?
A perfect break be for finals here at Oakland. see if i can squeeze in a session on Friday too!
Thanks for the Smooth Running events Doug, I had a blast even if i was only there for Sat. I loved the Special, nice fast moving pace and relief not to worry about faction Missions :>
Grr too busy, will be there for all day sat tho see ya then

Btw, Just wanted to Say that I really like the Layout when you print up the Characters, especially the first page where you can see all your bonuses easily. Keep up the good work!

Or lets you include only a number of people up to your CHA modifier. One or the other, I haven't checked in a while. I went the Wisdom route so no Cha bonus for my dwarf But thanks for pointing that out, Ill just wait till everything dies to channel heal :>
(hopefully non of the PC's but that's what Cure light wounds is for )

I guess the fighters up front would frown on that :>
If cleric Channels Healing to loving energy in the middle of a combat, will they Heal the enemy too? (assuming the enemy is living also)
thanks
looks Chock full Of Gaming goodness!
Cant Wait.

and yes the Stats above were for the +2 Human bonus
Toughness is a nice feat if you want a little survivability at lvl 1
so 10 hp +3 con + 3 toughness +1 favored class gets you 17 HP starting not shabby :>
We are Just enthusiastic :> * cracks the whip*

I have a question about how long it takes to post sessions to our characters. I noticed that you posted my first session but Jeff and Kyle have not. Should I be concerned?
Thanks,
Troy Be not concerned. I hastily reported the sessions played by Furis because he had inquired about them. I have the other sessions to enter yet, including yours. I'll get them all in this weekend when I have some spare time. Geez, you guys really pay attention!

Hi Doug,
No Rush, and i wouldn't think of making you feel guilty for killing my in my first game ever (j/k). I just was wondering if i set up my account incorrectly and therefor didn't see anything for that reason :>

Anyway How long does it take for your games to get reported? Im Not sure if I gave The GM the right Info as i used my Card Number and I cant remember if I used a -1 or a -2 as my first character died.
I set up Both Characters on the website now and Both chronicles that I earned should be for the Surviving -2 character.
Hi, this is Doug Miles, the Pathfinder Society coordinator for MichiCon. I was holding the session sheets from the convention because not all of the scenarios have been updated for session reporting. The last 4 scenarios released haven't been updated, so I was waiting to report until they were. Since you have expressed an interest in seeing the sessions posted (and you didn't play #57 or 58) I will start reporting MichiCon tonight.
I'll be getting to it late since I'm running PFS#29 tonight at RIW in Livonia (we have an open seat by the way). Either way, be sure to check out U-Con at the University of Michigan in November, and WinterCon in December. If you haven't joined the Southeast Michigan Pathfinder Society Yahoo! Group, please drop in and hook up with the area players.
