The Silver Leaf, the tavern closest to the gates of the city was buzzing with activity, more then it has ever been. Those who may have called the city home would take notice that the tavern was more lively than ever and it was all due to the gossip that filled the town. The Hands of Fate were coming to the city, on their way to a deep expedition to Bal Darul, the home of the dwarves in the Free Lands.
You heard of their exploits, their heroism. Saving the town of Elexsa from Stibewall's armies, Aviatra from the blight that threatened the entire society, and assisting the Fremen Guard with destroying a bandit's hideout. Rumors were abundant that they were seeking fresh recruits, that they just purchased a large plot of land that they aim to settle. There was general excitement for the possibilities of joining such a distinguished small elite force that is already creating a name for themselves. There is even a rumor that the general of the Fremen Guard is with them, Vuld Whitepeak!
Aviatra Edge a usually calm city was absolutely buzzing with excitement and activity as strangers, friends, and allies were gathering for the arrival of the party. Minstrals were singing, instruments filling the air with upbeat music and plenty of ale and food were being distributed. The Silver Leaf had to open up their front courtyard and balconies to patrons as they were simply overflowing.

@Micheal:
So all your attributes start at base 10. You can spend the 12 points at a 1 to 1 cost. So your first array listed is a total of 11 points. Your second array is a total of 12, and I assume these are pre-racial stats. If so, option two is correct :)
The current party is pretty balanced right now, so really choose what you'll have the most fun with! In the discord I have listed the current class make up of the party.
The world of Kodaimo grows dangerous every day. Kingdoms are clashing over ancient territory disputes that date back to the founding days. Tension is growing and skirmishes are exploding across all the borders of the Noxia Dynasty. Rumors mention similar situations exploding across the other territories that claim the lands beyond. Tales of the roads becoming incredibly dangerous, the wilderness becoming overrun with beasts and monsters and small outlying villages being sacked, burn, or pillaged are abound. Some say it the wilderness monsters becoming more active due to the inability of the military and guard to react, but others say something more sinister is at work, though many say those are tall tales and are those of the doomsayers and not to be heeded.
Among your travels, you’ve seen and heard many rumors and tales to the point that you couldn’t even tell what was true or not. Too many tales to keep track of, too many rumors to try and figure out.
You find yourself in the walled town of Elexsa, finding yourself finding at least a safe haven in your travels. Where ever you were going you ended up finding the ‘Sleepy Giant Inn’ a place to rest your weary head. It is only dawn as you drag yourself out of your bed and stumble down the stairs of the large inn, being beckoned by the smell of eggs and bacon. Plopping yourself down at the table you order up a simple breakfast with the sweet smell of the Beruvian Roasted Beans.
The food seems to be the only comfort you can take in while the town remains under siege. You're not sure how you can help so you keep yourself to your food for the moment and the others within the tavern.

The first guard stumbled slightly from the blast from Octavian, quickly looking over to him he snarled and shifted directions, charging Octavian. His blade coming in true in a slash, the blade cutting across his chest.
The second guard held his attention on Tsakua, striking again at him but the blade missing from Tsakua dodging the attack quickly.
The third, getting hit by Jasmines arrow, quickly spins from his attack and levels a sword towards Jasmine. Yelling a string of words flames suddenly appear around the blade before a ball of fire shoots from the tip.
Pazeek you get AoO on Guard 1 Jasmine, and anyone who is near Jasmine, DC 15 Reflex for half Guard 1 Attack:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 Guard 2 Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 Guard 3 Fireball:6d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1, 3, 5, 2) = 20 Guard 1 DMG to Octavian:1d8 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Group success, those who failed their stealth checks don't blow the cover.
As the group tries to be stealthy, Yama had to release quite a loud yawn during the middle of the trek, causing everyone to freeze for a moment before moving on. Though luckily none of the guards heard a noise.
The two guards positioned by the closed door had not even a chance to react as Tsakua immediately appeared, grabbing both their heads with great strength and cracking them together. A sick crack could be heard from their heads meeting as they crumple to the ground, unconscious. The sound of the bodies crumbling to the ground caused a great clamor, raising the alarm of the trio of other guards by the stairwell. A sudden shout was issued as the group moved in quickly onto Tsakua.
The first blade came in and Tsakua was quick with unslinging his shield, shrugging off the first blow before twisting as the second guard tried to flank him, his sword scrapping off the shield with a horrendous screech of metal. The third took the opening that presented itself and thrust his blade forward into a stab. His blade puncturing Tsakua's abdomen, digging in for several inches before the blade was yanked out, blood spilling from the wound.
Hey everyone, so I'm no longer unemployed! Yay! But that also means that the campaign will be going on hiatus. I won't have the time to GM this campaign any longer and with the recent inactivity from me on this end I believe I'm doing you all a disservice.
I'll let you know if the campaign will come back. I'm terribly sorry about this but I think it'll be for the best.
The party waits till the deafened members regain their hearing while Jasmine heads forward quickly and quietly, her footfalls very precise and quick with her elven grace.
As she got to the exit of the secret passage, just peering around the hidden door at the end she could see that the inner chambers had obviously seen some battle, though only a few priests bodies were tossed in a heap to the side. There were two guards posted as a door that was shut about twenty-five feet away. She could also see a couple guarding what seemed like an archway to the right about fifty feet away.
The inner chambers were darker and lit with torches that were lit with a blue flame. There were many doors heading to other rooms that branched off of the main atrium. The ceiling was arched and domed with an intricate mosaic of what seemed to be the story of the Illidari. Towards the center, the back wall there was another archway which leads into the anvil of Vulkan.
Everyone make stealth checks at the end of your next post. Including companions
That's unfortunate that the discord app isn't working for you.
As it stands we have quite a few applicants, so I'm temporarily closing applications. We have about thirty applications as it stands now. Will post an update if anything changes.
The war hammer remained silent as the vibrations stopped before Octavian would get a reply from the hammer.
Suddenly he'd get a sudden warm sensation like a warm fire being lit around him. Everyone else would even feel a sudden warm sensation fill the hallway as the Warhammer's glow grew just slightly before dimming into its normal state.
The hammer would immediately dive into Octavian's mind, looking through the memories, all the way back to when Octavian could barely remember. To Octavian, it felt like an eternity as he was forced to relive every waking moment he had as the hammer replayed his entire life. Though to everyone else, it was only a mere second.
The blood was still being absorbed by the hammer, an unnerving action that did not seem to bode any good feelings. The battle mage and the other surrendered troops put their hands to their own hears grunting in pain.
Once the victim's body was completely drained by the hammer the hammer would just steadily glow a soft luminescent blue.
Those who failed the fort saves are deafened for a couple of minutes and take 15 points of sonic damage.
The battlemage grunts as she is dropped to the floor. Her hands immediately rubbing her own throat. She'd toss a glance at Jasmine for a moment. "Down through the hall of the purifying flame, down the steps into the inner sanctum of the temple where only the high priests are allowed in. There are a few guards along the way, but they have the other priests who weren't killed put into a room to the left near the anvil. Several soldiers guard them but they wouldn't be any match for you. He took most of his guard into the inner sanctum." She sputtered quickly. It was clear that Jasmine's threat was well received.
The Illidari stared pure hatred at Octavian till the last seconds of his life. The skull would crack and a spray of blood and brain matter would douse the immediate area and Octavian and his hammer. Suddenly the hammer flashed a vibrant blue, a thunderous cacophony of screams erupted in the vicinity. Octavian's grip is cemented onto the hammer as he felt his entire will of a being tugged and pulled at by the hammer. From everyone watching you would immediately see the blood of the victim suddenly being sucked into the hammer at its core.
Octavian, Will save DC 20 Everyone else makes a fortitude save DC 15
The battlemage struggled in Tsakua's grip, eyes going wider, "That I'm sorry that I disappointed them and followed the wrong leader. Tell them I'm sorry, please tell them I died trying to right my wrongs. Tell my little brother that I'm... I'm sorry I won't be able to see his rite of passage..." She choked out, tears lining her eyes. She began to mutter a prayer to Vulkin until Jasmine interrupted.
Immediately she'd sputter out, "Khelani my mother, Duril my father, Sessanuia my elder sister and Tepetau my little brother."
The archer coughed, slowly sitting up and seeing the aftermath, his hand coming to his head as he rubbed his temple. He was about to speak up but seeing Pazeek make the motions he looked over to where the others were gathered and would slowly make his way towards them, kneeling down without protest.
The battlemage gasped as her lungs were magically repaired, sucking in the air greedily before Tsakua repositioned her against the wall, a soft surprised choke sound would come from her. "I-I thought it was that or death. I was caught up, please don't kill me, I don't want to die. I was told you were the plague bearers, that you would doom the city to rubble. I-I don't want my family to die!" she struggled out, her hands gripping Tsakua's wrists out of reflex than anything harmful. Her eyes were wide and fearful, unsure what her fate would be.
Breewyn's impassioned speech would've swayed the guard slightly, though her timing was impeccable as the birdman Pazeek was already doing the deed that must be done. She would see the man's head pulled back as the sudden blade flashes across his neck, showering not only Pazeek, but Bree with the arterial blood.
Though Breewyns words do not go unnoticed, along with the visceral display of what happens to those who do not vow to change their ways and obey the rightful heir. The other two surrendered soldiers began praying louder, making promises to right their wrongs. One of the battlemages groaned, rolling over, struggling to hold their consciousness. "Please... dont let me die... I will help you..." she croaked out, gasping for air.
Pazeeks words only seemed to have irritating half of the surrendering forces. The other two off to the right looked at each other, eyes widening slightly as they look to Octavian. Only two instantly threw themselves into bowed positions against the floor in their presence. Though one of the soldiers that were glaring snarled at the bird man, "You and your feather kind do not belong in Alexandria and should've never been let in. Should've died out in the sands like the rest of your kind!"
The surrendered soldier that Octavian approached looked him defiantly in the eye and spat at his face. "Kill me and get it over with worthless Lucarin. I wished you died with your wife!" One of the archers who had surrendered stared defiantly at Octavian and the group as well, joining the cursing. "Eleran will see the world rid of all the lesser races! The Illidari are the only ones fit to rule, we shall take over Alexandria, no matter the cost!"
Despite these two resolute Illidari, the other soldier and archer bowed completely, muttering blessings and praises, it seems almost as if they were uttering the sacred chant of the forgiving fire to be blessed renew and give them the opportunity to right their wrongs. Octavian will immediately know these two chants as many who wish to have a second chance in the Halls of Justice uttered the sacred chant.
Another blast of heat rises as Octavian's second fireball decimated the entire right wing of enemies. Dying screams of agony rose quickly but were silenced as what was left was bodies burnt to a crisp.
The soldier who stood between Inja and Pazeek was brought down quickly by their combined effort. The soldier barely was able to defend himself, only being able to shift from a couple of blows but as the final strike landed his eyes went wide in pain before a gasp of air left him, dropping to his knees at Pazeek's insults before collapsing to the floor.
The entryway to the temple was littered with bodies and blood, with only four men left they looked at around the room quickly as the blast of the fireball only cemented to them that they were in a losing fight. Immediately and without much communication, they dropped their weapons and went to their knees. Immediately they put their hands up, surrendering.
Combat is over, enemies have surrendered as they all failed their will saves.

Rules And Other Things!

This means that anyone from all walks of life will be welcomed as I'm striving to make a safe, comfortable group for all of its players to enjoy themselves and feel free to be themselves. This means I will not tolerate any disrespectful behavior and repeated offenses means you will be ejected from the campaign.
With that out of the way, I want to invite everyone to join me in a campaign that will see us all the way to the 20th level! It's almost a back to basics campaign! If you've seen Critical Role, the game will play similar to theirs as there will be a focus on Roleplay more then encounters.
The game will be based in Discord (text based, no voice), utilizing Roll20 for tactical maps. I've been finding this combination works incredibly well for me to GM and has seen massive success in the other campaigns I'm running in this combination. The game will always be running, much like the forums play by post, and operates on the same idea, but there will be scheduled sessions where we all will sit and enjoy the game together!

Many of the enemies were still aflame from the mythic fireball, only one archer managed to put out their flames. Octavian's scorching ray hits one of the soldiers as he would hear a grunt of pain. Another archer falls from Jasmine's first arrow, but her second plinks off the stonework as her second target moves out of the way just in time. Pazeek and Inja tore apart the soldier who was flanked between them. He couldn't fend off the attacks as the katana and claws rendered his flesh into bloody gashes. Yama's attacks only scrape against armor ineffectively.
The archers retaliated against Jasmine, arrows being loosed quickly. Two of the archers let loose arrows at Inja, hoping to catch her blind.
The soldier Yama attacked turned on her while the other continued his assault on Tsakua. Two of the soldiers flanked Inja while the other stepped forward to engage Pazeek. Yama suffered a blow, yowling in pain while Tsakua blocked his with his shield. Pazeek was unable to block or dodge the blade that bit into his flesh. Inja suffered an arrow hitting her along with two blades tearing into her hide.

Bree's bolt flew and pinged off the armor of the soldier, doing him no harm. Pazeek's attack dropped the archer with a yelp of pain before falling unconscious as Jasmine deftly dropped the two battlemages that were causing a huge amount of a headache. Tsakua's first strike was blocked, the second struck hard, causing the soldier to teeter slightly before he deftly blocked another attack. Inja's attack surprised the archer and felled him quickly in a bloody mist of her claws and fangs.
The whole line began to break slightly as a few soldiers turned to deal with the ones who penetrated, breaking from their cover to deal with the threat. The archers tried to break contact, and apply distance between them and the new enemy. The two soldiers approached Inja quickly, driving in their attacks, one going wide as Inja dodged it deftly, but the other caught her while she evaded the other. The archers let loose another volley, a couple taking aim at Jasmine at the window while the others tried to peg Bree and the griffon. The arrows towards Breewyn and the griffon went wide as the barricades were not aflame and were now occluding their vision to the enemy across. Two of the arrows hit Jasmine. The soldiers engaging Tsakua doubled their attack. Both their attacks hit, but they kept a defensive posture.
Two more soldiers broke away from the barricades and maneuvered around the mess of the battle, angling themselves towards Pazeek. One charged him directly, passing Inja in the process while the other skirted further out. The soldier charging Pazeek landing a hit, but with his nimble body he was able to make the blow less lethal then it would've been.
Inja you get an attack of oppurtunity on the soldier charging pazeek
Yeah, its not friendly to Mobile phones unless you have a 'tablet' phone that has a certain minimum screen resolution.
Taking care of moving tokens and such will be easy to manage (Just say where and I can move it). Due to my Discord based Starfinder campaign, I have a premium Roll20 account, so you get access to the mobile apps, and I have been gathering content packages to make nice and engaging maps. So, in that line. It'd be incredibly simple for me to move our combat maps and manage our enemies MUCH easier on there rather than google drives. (Heck google drives for token movement is a pita.)
If there are no strong objections to it. I'll craft the campaign and be able to manage it much better from there.
As immediately as the doors were blown open before Jasmine's arrows could be let loose, the two battlemages behind the line quickly made motions with their free hands, a shimmering force field appearing before them just briefly.
It seemed as if everyone struck at once, the sudden massive fireball being released upon the grouped enemies caused a reverberating crash and explosion of heat and yells rose. As soon as the explosion was there, in a couple seconds the massive explosion of the fire was gone, Jasmine arrows and Pazeek were already in the air.
Jasmine's silence arrow struck solid, but her first shot of rapid shot missed, but her second scored a solid hit which caused them to stagger back from the blow.
Tsakua first two punches nailed the heavily armored soldier like a force of a thousand suns, his second hit he could feel the soldier's neck crack and him crumple back from the blow, causing his third strike to hit the air.
They quickly struck back with vengeance, the right battlemage quickly casting their own fireball at the group, while the other mage ripped the arrow from their body and tossed it to the ground, quickly moving back out of the circle of the silence. While a volley of arrows was let loose at the direction of the party. The soldiers to the left and right of Tsakua attacked, the left missing a jab with his weapon while the right took the opportunity and struck Tsakua hard, spearing him with the sword.
The other two flanking on the left and right of the line took their javelins and tossed them, two thrown at Inja and two thrown at Octavian. The two thrown at Octavian found their mark while only one found its mark on Inja.
Results: Everyone in the Fireball Circle (Orange) make a reflex save of DC 18 to half damage. Total DMG = 27
Below are PRE-FIREBALL Dmg. If you fail your save, add 27 DMG, if you succeed you take 13 Jasmine: 5 Dmg Total Inja: 14 Dmg Total Octavian: 17 Dmg Total Tsakua: 32 Dmg Total
Okay, I have updated, did a bit of a rewrite to my original idea to this campaign, so this... will be a lot of fun soon!
Google Drive has been giving me a bit of grief, I can't seem to find the discussion on it before, but is anyone opposed to using Roll20 for tactical map purposes? (Such as being restricted to mobile phones to participate?)
Intelligence or Culture check would work in this spot I feel.
Caleb Rook:
Digging into the message a bit, you fail to discern much more then what already has. It's obvious that this is just one single piece of the puzzle. In order to solve it, you'll be needed more pieces.
I'll let anyone else give a shot at a response to Reskk's information, when your ready, I have disclosed the next piece.
Time Skip:
The days would blend in slightly, dragging on as the ship continued its thrusters in the Drift. The odd purple-pink hue plane of existence. It seemed to have been going fairly well, for the distance to the Vast unknown beacon. Pulling the ship in the direction it needed to go.
Several days would go without incident before the second to last day. The day that would soon to be known as the 'Red Dawn'.
The crew would be gathered, as the lights were beginning to dim, the repairs on the Harridan were complete along with the upgrades, plus a bit more adequate seating for non-vesk races. Everything would be going well as requisitions took place and the crew has been having a relatively easy go with it.
As the crew was getting ready for bed, dinner being cooked up and the sweet smell of the mystery meat and veggie stew filled the unit, a sharp siren sounded on the ships onboard speakers, filling the entire ship with a high pitch alarm before everything suddenly went black. All the lights suddenly being cut. The entire place was thrown into darkness. Without the lights, you couldn't even your own hand in front of your face.
Even the red emergency lights were out. You could hear the commotion outside of your unit with people hollering and general yells for what was going on. Flashlights were flickering on from others outside, trying to scope out exactly what was happening.
The poor sod who was running was pegged by the shield and went down without a fuss, his body going limp and hitting the ground.
The doors that Octavian approached and swung his hammer against shuddered with his strike. The wooden door, splintered under the hammer as if the wood was just twigs. The door caved in on itself as it was forced open with a crack of thunder and a flare of fire from the anvil. The door suddenly swung open with a sudden hidden force.
Before the group who were still standing behind Octavian, there were lines of soldiers within the large cathedral-like entrance. The halls were only lit with red flames, torches propped up against makeshift barricades, making the entire entrance dimly lit as the sun was currently blocked by the monstrous storm raging outside.
The Illidari before them were well armed, and already in defensive position. The first row was obviously front-line soldiers, all equipped with shields and swords. Behind them were archers cocking their bows and training their arrows upon the group. Finally, there were several Elaran battlemages behind them.
I'm drawing up the encounter soon, should be done tomorrow morning at the latest.
The guards really didn't have much time to react, even with Jasmine's words they held still before Inja had lunged and effortlessly killed a guard. The other looked shocked and dumbfounded as Tsakua scaled the gate and busted it open. He looked to his comrade who has just gotten speared and then the others. He seemed to take a moment to re-evaluate his position and his life.
He'd toss his weapon down and just began running away from the temple and the group. If you've never seen an Illidari run before besides Octavian today was a treat to see someone look like they could outrun a cheetah. If no one attempted to stop him he'd escape into the city.
The temple stood before you, the main doors shuttered and must obviously be barred from the other side. There were no obvious opening beside stained glass windows that were up about twenty-five feet from the foundation of the building.
Unsure where Qahnaarin is, I am assuming he stayed behind near the gates of the temple due to no post from him. From this point on, I'm assuming everyone has arrived at the temple (besides Qahn) at the same time.
Everyone is within 30 feet of the gate. I did not create a battle map for this due to the fact that if it comes to a fight, it's not going to be much of a fight at all with just a couple of regular soldiers.
The temple stood, its gates closed and some of the bodies of the priests who tried to fight back littering the floor, there were several Illidari guards, sporting tabards with Elaran's house sigil. It was obvious what had taken place here and what the madman was up to. It did not take a genius to figure out he was going right for one of the most powerful sources of energy in the Illidary city.
By the time the party had arrived, the dust storm was growing worse. Atop the raised hill in the city, you got a good eye over the events that were happening all around. Sounds of massive battles were coming from the breach of the wall. It seemed most of the city guard had made their way to the breach at this point, with small contingents moving and fighting along the walls. The desert soldiers seemed to be unearthly in their way of movement and being able to scale the great walls was frustrating, to say the least. The ward towers off in the distance of the walls, where flaring with blue flashes and cacophony of spells sounding off as the battlemages attempted to hold the towers from the sand warriors.
It was still hard to breathe and see with the dust storm continually ravaging the city. Though you had the goal set before you. The mighty Illidari temple desecrated with the slaughter of priests and battle. Everyone could feel a chill run down their spines as they moved closer from the raw power that was already emitting from the temple. The guards caught their approach and were already standing firm with their weapons out and in a defensive posture.
I'll be time skipping ahead with rolls of possibly travel dangers. Please let me know if there is anything significant your character will be doing during the time skip so I can take account of it.
I'll be posting later today with the time skip to give everyone time to reply!
Fighting was erupting around the ward towers as the battlemages and what guards there were engaging them but holding their positions at the towers. The soldier Octavian grabbed nodded quickly and assembled a couple of others before moving off to the side. They were talking for only a moment before the few battlemages he gathered disappeared into nothingness with a soft glow.
Octavians mother was being tended by the healers, but she nodded grimly to Octavian, ”Sound strategy. I’ll will do what I can. Once my healers are finished I will gather who I can and attempt to secure the wards. Get to the temple as quickly as you can. We must save the city and secure the city. Eleran must be stopped.” She’d say through gritted teeth as she sucked in a painful gasp as the healers would slowly removing the shards imbedded into her flesh.
Her eyes coldly lay upon Octavian, a knowing stare. She said nothing for a moment as she steadied her breath. ”Your Empress of New Alexandria give you the right of authority of Justicar of the city. Kill all those who will put our city at risk and dispense judgement as needed.” She’d turn her gaze to Arion, ”You are witness to this commandment and will be labeled as Speaker.”
At the pit, the bound fighter just kept up his laughter before Tsakua ended it quickly with the blow to the neck. As they begin to leave a particularly clothed Illidari, marked as a battlemage, ran up to them, ”Hail! Proven! Octavian requests your assistance at the Temple! Please follow me!” He’d waste no time and begin moving away from the sounds of combat, attempting to take them to the temple. He’d wait by the exit of the Arena, turning to see if they would follow.
When Pazeek landed near the soldiers, he would startle a few but his appearance only bolstered the spirits of the defenders. The one who was commanding the troop looked to him for a moment baffled by his casual tone. All he did was nod in the direction of the beasts, who were just about upon them. He’d yell out to the defensive line in front of Pazeek to brace. Raising an arm, signalling the archers who assembled behind and the spellcasters to begin firing upon the approaching horde. Before Pazeek could do anything a out of breath battlemage ran up to him, ”Pazeek?! Octavian requests that you assemble at the Temple!”
Jasmine would begin heading in the direction of the estate that was the clients father, though she would make it several city blocks before a blue flash appeared just ahead of her, an Illidari looking slightly confused as his location saw her running towards him, he’d quickly throw up his hands to catch her attention, ”Proven! Octavian requests assistance at the Temple!” A soft voice of her bow whispered in her ear, ’Temple! Power in the Temple yes! I feel it, i feel power moving there…’ Her own senses, were slightly overwhelmed as there were multiple sources of power all around her and the city, but the two strongest were easily identifiable, the monstrosity itself and somewhere deeper in the city.
Qahnaarin and the noble were already heading towards the temple, near the council, the sick grin of the man before him only spreading his lips as they happened upon the battered gates of the Temple, bodies of illidari were already strewn about and the two standing saluted the nobleman. It seemed the Temple was already being assaulted, or had been. The nobleman walked up to the guard and began conversing, asking about the situation. Qahnaarin would easily overhear that they had secured the temple and most of the resisting priests were already slaughtered. Eleran was already within the temple.
Even with a precursory search, you notice that any information that wasn't publicized was indeed lock away. It seemed that there was something to hide, and it seemed that what it was had some severe protections. Just a soft tap against the defenses resulted in knowing that whatever they were hiding was particularly big.
You find, frustratingly, that most of everything was shut down with the best electronic countermeasures and failsafes. It was difficult to really say what it was. Though close to giving up on trying to find some data, you find a transmission log, though thoroughly corrupted, you are able to snag a copy and pull it down to your terminal without any traces being left.

Bishop & Caleb
It took about thirty minutes of your time to find the Central Cortex of Knowledge, or so as it was branded. Inside the large section of the ship you'd be face with a large electronic database of all gathered knowledge known. It's density and amount of collection was quite vast and obviously there was some great pains taken to copy almost everything known into the ships archives. There were several uniformly dressed attendants in the archives which were obvious workers of the establishment.
The entire complex had a soft dull blue glow from the data servers and the numerous consoles that half were about occupied by the ships occupants.
Resk make a computer/hacking check. Depending on the flavor you want to go!
Also, definitely make note of what your doing for the two hours! And we can either resolve it with some roles, light rp, or otherwise!
Also the vibe of the group is amazing, and it seems you guys are developing your characters well! Happy to see that!
Resk would immediately be disappointed as the information was very brief and light. Along the lines of "Exploration and Colonization". It seemed as though the carrier itself was bankrolled by multiple companies and venture capitalists. Unless he spent some time digging into the code of the ship, he would only get brochure like information. Though a bit of a map would enlighten him a bit more about the ship design.
It was literally a moving star citadel, plenty of living quarters for long term residence, massive water tanks, state of the art air cyclers, a subsection of ice harvesting platform for emergencies. Plenty of cordoned areas for specific roles and ranks within the ship hierarchy. It was obvious that there was a blend of operations at work, as the ship was compartmentalized into several sections, military, civilian, exploration, and colonization. It definitely seemed there was a bigger hand at play here.
The man bled all the information he knew, of the intent to raise a power to thwart power from the council and crush Lucarin and the Proven. To retrieve the shard Octavian had forged and to take control of the city. To purge all non-illidari, and turn the able bodies into slaves. To reinstate the Vulkan’s legacy of his family line and create a bastion against the human race and turn the summoned creature against everyone. A power that laid rest into the dessert for what might’ve been since the world's creation. He
Would nod and follow her directions quietly.
As she looked upon the monstrosity that loomed outside of the city, she would not see the first attack, but she would see the second large rock of sand soar above the city with a screech. Her bow vibrated and a voice snuck within her mind, a soft, dangerous voice.
”Idiots, idiots, idiots! The harper’s songs were never listened to! They have awoken a titanic beast, a beast gods died to put to rest! Idiots Idiots Idiots!” He cried out, ”Stupid men, stupid! Unbelievable! Ga rosh ket!” The bow began to ramble in an ancient tongue, too ancient to comprehend as the words felt heavy upon your mind. You own intuition spoke to you about that this was no ordinary beast, it was ancient, from legends and stories. You recall back from the history of ancient beasts that once threatened the world, beats driven by the power of a crystal, a gem from the gods. That the old gods sacrificed themselves to prevent their terror upon the world and seal away the sources of their power. For its weaknesses, it seemed to have to survive off of some energy source, or at least what your bow was rambling on about. Power… it required a source of power.
Pit
Embarrassed and deflated, the brute struggled upon the ground, trying to undo the bindings that Tsakua placed upon him.
Break Free:1d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 23
Though as he much as he might struggle he could not undo the bonds. Suddenly the situation around him became abundantly clear as chaos and screams of people in terror began running from the stands brought the realization unto the brute.
A sharp guttural laugh erupted from him, ”Too late fool! My master’s plan is already in works and he will rule this city soon enough! There is no hope for you!”
A shout rose up from the guards who rushed into the ring, trying to gather able fighters, his eyes lock with Tsakua’s, ”A breach in the wall! A monstrosity is attacking the city! An army came out of nowhere. We need all the bodies we can to defend the breach! Please help us!” The guard looked between Inja and Tsakua respectively.
Sounds of fighting within the city could be heard rising. The guard looked helplessly around him for a moment. Giving Tsakua a glance he knew all too well, as it may be the last time they ever meet he carrolls a couple of the pit fighters looking on, conscripting them and dragging them off to the sounds of battle.
It was pure and utter chaos.
Ward Tower
If Arion looked out, she could see an army of sand like creatures running towards the city, a contingents of them making their ways towards all the ward towers. Groans from the wounded could be heard inside as battlemages rushed up the stairs, quickly trying to mend the wounded. Alreena gritted her teeth, as she looked up to Octavian and Arion. Her eyes were sharp, focused, but filled with pain. ”Kill that sonab#%~~.” She cursed through her teeth.
Qahnaarin
The Illidari was cackling until the monstrosity in the desert turned on the city. His laughter stopped dead in its track. ”Wait, no!” He would yell at the top of his lungs as the beast attacked the city and demolished a section of the wall. ”No no no! This is not how it’s supposed to happen!” He’d turn to face the peasant that followed him. ”Grab a weapon! We make towards the council! We can wrest control of the city there!” He turned on his heels and began making his trek back to the council, hurriedly moving towards the tower which would take them down to the street level. Chaos was erupting all around them as people were beginning to flee to safety, wherever that may be.
Tengu Tower
The captain nodded, coughing and spitting against the constant grit and dust that was swirling madly about in the air. It was simply just hard to breathe, as conversation was made difficult with constant coughing. ”Evacuation is under way into the tunnels beneath the city and to the mountain the city is nestled on.” he’d say with an eerie calm. A bird of battle, this was what he was comfortable in. He looked and gasped at the second attack. Though luckily it missed the city. He gave a quick look at the chaos enveloping the city below. The destruction where the rock had smashed into the city must’ve killed hundreds, if not thousands. Squiniting he pointed a finger to the chaos near. ”Is… is that fighting inside the city?! What the hell?” He looked to Pazeek confused as there were small figures battling in the scar of the attack.
Pazeek would see a muster line forming near the breach as soldiers reacted quickly under direct orders of someone in charge, and beyond them, they could barely see past the walls but an army approaching in a full sprint. The captain turned to Pazeek and placed a hand on his shoulder. ”I’ll assemble our fighters, go! See if you can assist them!” The bird would give Pazeek a long stare before jumping off the balcony and diving down, springing his own magical wings open at the last minute to glide over, blaring battle call.
Everyone
An army was upon the city, creatures made form from sand and rock. Armor donned there eerie humanoid bodies. Heads of great old gods once worshipped. Heads of jackals, eagles and other creatures. Inhuman, monstrous as they made way for the break in the wall of the city. A line of soldiers hastily drawing a defensive line, no time to set up barricades. A yell rose from the top of the wall as arrows were loosed from the parapets. The towers of the Illidari retaliated against the oncoming army, trebuchets launching large rocks into the charging massive army of the summoned army of the monstrosity. Another carrien screech sounded as another large rock soared above the city, nearly pummeling the back walls, flying just too far.
”Brace!” went a command, Illidari and the warriors of the sand braced their elongated shields and lined their phalanx with spears. "Don't let a single one enter the city! Hold the line!"
A rumble across the land could be heard as a thunderous boom could be heard. Every ward tower could suddenly be seen as the large crystals atop the towers began to glow, tendrils of energy whipping chaotically around them.
The world seemed to spin in a weird way for him, it felt as if the tension was slowly being pulled from him like a taut string. Feeling it pulled out and discarded. If felt great and he thought, maybe he could relax, maybe he could explore this side of mortality with someone so strange. He listened and obeyed Jasmine’s every word, she had a weird way of making her suggestions, or commands very… enticing to do.
”I’ve tried. I’ve argued, but I feel I was put here to more or less keep me out of the way. My father loves and despises me at the same time.” He said with a soft sigh. ”I’m not strong…” he paused as he was instructed to roll over. With that he did but his eyes went wide and he didn’t move a muscle. He obviously didn’t have any hidden weapons. He gave her only a nod of acknowledgement.
With her retelling of his fathers supposed schemes his eyes would only widen more as he begins to tremble in fear. Was he really sent here to die? Was there a lot more to this then he thought? Beads of sweat began forming at the Illidari’s forehead as a cold sweat sweeps across him.
”I-I don't want to be hurt. I don’t want anyone to be hurt! I’ll help you! Please, dear Vulkan please don't hurt me!”
Pit
He was surprised by Tsakua’s quick action. Grunting as he attempted to free himself from Tsakua’s grasp. ”I won't be bound so easily!” he yelled as his muscled strained against him. The crowd was clamoring in a cacophony of boo’s and cheer’s. Though to all his might, Tsakua seemed to have a better grip on him. He could feel Tsakua strain to keep him in place.
Opposed Grapple:1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25
A chant began to rise with Inja cheering Tsakua on, thunderous echoes of voices yelled out.
As Breewyn tried to focus upon the crystal she held, though something dark, something menacing hissed out and she could feel a massive life force suddenly overwhelm her. Her crystal suddenly radiating pure, unconstrained energy. She felt the energy whip through her like a poison invading her body. Painful, poisonous, gritty energy that threatened to take over.
Will Save DC 24 or be enthralled and immediately lash out at the nearest person with your strongest possible attack.
Ward Tower
All the casters could feel the focusing charge suddenly get hit but a strong pull of energy, raw, powerful energy. The crystal crackled and all anyone had was Alreena yelling to shield yourselves. The energy suddenly was sent violently through the crystal, intentionally. Suddenly a loud explosion would echo in the room as the crystal exploded into a million tiny shards, peppering everyone in the room.
The aftermath was bloody, many of the battlemages who were helping with the focusing crystal laid still, blood oozing from many of the holes in their bodies. Alreena was gasping as she clutched her gut, blood oozing from the wound.
There was a rumble and suddenly similar explosions could be heard, each tower being overwhelmed by the raw potent magic, causing the ward towers to explode in various degrees. One nearby crumpled under the sheer force of the explosion.

Qahnaarin
The man laughed, oh he laughed. Turning towards Qahnarrin as he pointed out to the Desert. ”New Alexandria will rise! We will be the rightful inheritors of this world! We will fear no human army, we will not fear a delusional king! This is our savior, this is our redemption, this will be the world’s undoing! We were thrown to this world by our God, and our God will see our fit to rule!” His eyes were filled with lunacy, delusion. Ironic really.
”We will be the rulers of this new world, heralded by.. By this beautiful thing!” He turned back to look out the desert. ”New Alexandria is the first step, the next, we will conquer all the desert, and then after that, we will bring the war to the humans and crush them once and for all. We will be rulers. All Illidari will be elevated to godhood!” Laughter erupted again, as the world begin to darken.
Tengu Tower
The Elders looked confused and frightened by the sudden quake and the demands for them to be sheltered. They looked at Pazeek but would not give word to their decision. ”We will deliberate in safety.” was all they had given him as they were lead out in a hurried fashion. The guard left with them, along with several others to ensure their safety. Pazeek no doubt would be left annoyed if not angered. Before he could leave another Tengu entered the room, dressed for battle and a grim look about him. This one was particular due to a scar that ran up his beak and across one eye, which held a patch over. He’d give Pazeek a quick study before speaking.
”Proven, Pazeek was it? I need your guidance.” He’d usher Pazeek out towards the balcony and pointing his No-Dachi out towards the cause of disturbance. ”How the hell do we fight with that?”
Everyone
A shape began to rise in the desert, in direction of the blast of energy and light. Obscured by a sudden whirlwind of dust, sand and grit. Only a faint elongated shape, one that looked eerily like a coiled snake began to take form. The size of the… thing was monstrous, bigger than anything anyone has possibly ever seen. A sudden wave of fear washed over the world. Hairs stood on end and a chill running down your spine as the distorted shape seemed to rear up, its body coiling as it uprighted itself, a pair of eyes slowly opening as two, what felt like deep yellow stars appeared upon what might be its head. Raising up it would blot the sun out, casting a monstrous shadow all over New Alexandria.
A tremble felt through the earth as it peered out towards the city. Suddenly tendrils erupted from its form, making it incredibly hard to pinpoint exactly where this monstrous thing was. The tendrils, expanding the shadow as they reached out across the desert and plummeted into the sand beneath, causing tremors and quakes as they hit. A blast of sandy wind washed across in a torrential force. Malice laced the air as the dust storm surrounding it expanded, quickly enveloping the city and the immediate area.
The wind around whistled in its force, your mouth immediately became dry and withered. Your eyes sting from the dust and grist as it assaulted all your senses, enveloping you in a whirlwind of discomfort. It felt like the dust was invading your lungs, making it harder to breath. You feel the abrasive grit against your skin like it was a rough piece of sandpaper being dragged against your flesh.
It was only a second later as everyone could hear a high pitch scream of what sounded like a carrion bird being murdered, slowly and painfully. The noise became louder, and louder, until suddenly a large object soared into the city. A boulder of condensed sand smashing into the walls with erupting force. Blasting its way easily into the city like a meteorite from the sky as it created a huge path of devastation.
Hysteria suddenly erupted in the city as the impervious city of New Alexandria was easily broken. It was only punctuated by the thunderous rumbling of what felt like an approaching army running at full speed.

The ysoki Molly was speaking to scoffed, several of the on-goers were deeply interested when she started spouting off the precursor rumor. It was catchy and though the Ysoki of the Harbinger didn't want to believe it, it was obviously he was stewing over that for a moment. "Then. I saw we go back and blow d'em toasters to pieces! A hundred for everyone one of our own that has fallen!" A cheer would rise up from his crew, though the Illicia crew regarded the bravado with skepticism.
To Resk's mention of the other bases, it seemed the other scientists weren't so forthcoming with that information and it definitely got the rest of the room interested.
The 'night' would wane and with the drinks slowing to the crawl and most of the inhabitants of the cantina successfully inebriated, they would begin to saunter to their lodgings one by one until the cantina was empty and the Harriden crew finally decided to call it a night.
Everyone would make it back to the bunks, with a bit of a trouble as directions were quite hard to figure out when you were all sorts of plastered, much like Resk who just couldn't help but 'lead' the way with his drunken enthusiasm.
The crew quarters were located near their ship hangar. It'd be the same trek back, but the crew were given one large apartment, with a couple of rooms that had a private lodging for each crew member of the Harriden. Each crew had similar lodgings provided. Though when it is described as 'large' its really only slightly bigger then the average bunking situation of a starship of this size, or well close to the size. The lodgings came with a small kitchenette, military standard with the bare necessities. The crew had liberty of stock piling their own kitchen with what they wanted. In the main shared room, there was a large couch that lined two of the walls and a decently sized screen that apparently had some entertainment vids and games preloaded into it.
Though the entire crew would find their own rooms, or lay claim to what theres will be and retire for the night.
Everything, for several hours would go quiet as the 'night' cycle darkened all the lights of the ship. It was also a very effective way of conserving power usage as only guidance lights would be on at the late hours.
The first day of travel would pass, the lights slowly dimming back to full as first step of the journey was completed. The 'morning' was quiet. The lights mimicking the predawn light with a soft blue white light spilling in from the outside hall. Those who drank quite a bit would feel the pangs of the hangover.

We got two ways we can go about this. We can abbreviate what the crew days for the next several days during the travel, OR you can RP it all out. That is up to you as the players to decide. I will move along across multiple days as necessary, though the first day after the incident we will RP out a little bit.
The male tensed when her hands first touched his flesh. Though the message slowly worked its magic as his muscles relaxed and a grunt of pleasure left him. Relaxing back into the hands of Jasmine he was silent for a moment, his hands fidgeting slightly.
”I don’t like my father… or what he’s going to do.” He says finally. His eyes were closed as he let out a slow sigh.
”So many are going to get hurt. I just know it…” His hands began to shake slightly. Though the pitcher of water on the table trembled as well, hell the entire room began to shake.
Pit
The brute smirked, as he took a step forward. ”You will die this day. This day, a new dawn will come and bring about the rise of the true Illidari!” He took another step forward, his foot falling onto the line in the dirt. His body tensed as he prepared for the battle. His hulking mass caused the ground to tremble….
Ward Tower
Alreena would already begin directing runners to have the ward towers prepare for a magical feedback from the resonance that they would cause by removing the anchor. Battlemages began to take up the circle around the tower while Alreena took Arion and Octavian to the near top of the tower, where the focusing crystal was set. She would direct them in the proper positions.
”Follow my lead and began concentrating on the crystal. Try and keep the magic tether slack, monitor it and ensure it does not slip your grasp.” When they were in position she’d began her cantation.
The room suddenly filled with a soft blue light, the energy in the tower was palpable, you could almost taste the raw energy that began to crackle around the crystal as she began to remove it.
Octavian and Arion, roll spellcasting checks.
Though from their parapet, suddenly a flash would wash over the room, a loud, thunderous crack of energy washed over everyone.
Additionally make a concentration check.
Qahnaarin
The Illidari stopped, adopting a scowl as the apparent servant ran up to him. He was about to raise his voice to demand the guy to get back to his duties though he seemed to changed his mind. Willingly or unwillingly. The man would sigh and nod his head.
”Come then, keep silent and keep three paces from me.”
He’d then take them towards the walls, entering a tower and climbing the stair well. When they reached the top, they’d walk the ramparts. Mysteriously there was a lack of guards posted. They would finally stop at a wall completely devoid of guards. The wall faced the North Eastern approach. Looking out towards the desert.
Suddenly a light flared up in the distance and the man’s smile turned into a sickened grin.
Tengu Tower
The elders were quiet, for quite some time after Pazeek made his pitch. They kept their eyes leveled upon him, studying him. It was only a couple minutes of silence but it felt like an eternity.
”Pazeek, we appreciate Alreena’s concerns and the arguments placed upon the table, but a convening of the decision would take a week at best. We cannot simply pick a bird and give them this power. It’s a process.” replied a old bird, not the one from the library.
Another spoke up, his ancient voice cracking, ”I’m sorry, but we cannot make this decision lightly. We have to convene the flock as per traditions and our laws passed down from our ancestors.”
The one who helped them before spoke, ”I must agree with Pazeek with this. We must choose a side, and I insist it be of the Lucarin’s. Eleran would only bring ruin to the city and the refugees. Not to mention our life here.”
The fourth nodded his head along with the third eldar’s words in agreement. ”I concur. We should chose. Quickly.”
The first spoke up, then ”We must abide by our rules… we cannot simply deviate-”
His words were cut off as the tower trembled, a guard burst through the door, ”Eldars! I deeply apologize for the intrusion but we must secure the tower! There's been… a development.”
Everyone
The earth shook, a light filled the distance in a brilliant yellow display. A pillar of pure energy shot into the sky, causing any stray clouds to be dispersed by the energy. The energy washed over the city, causing a moment of silence as your hairs, or that akin to hair, stood on end by the electrifying energy. Deep in your stomach something churned.
As soon as the energy shot forward, suddenly you feel yourself being tucked as the energy was sucked back. Rushing past you back to the source. You feel weaker, tired suddenly as you grab hold of something near you to not lose your balance.
The ground shook more violently this time, you could hear cries in the distance as some older buildings in the city collapsed under the violence of the quake.
Fellow cheers rose up all around them to the toasts. Drinks were raised and tossed back. This got the buzz going around the room, sparking conversations as the mood lighten just a little.
The ysoki looked up with a smirk, "Yeah she was, grilled us on our shit like we were maggots or this was our first tour!" He spreads his arm wide, sloshing his drink a little. Pointing his finger towards Molly he continued, "It looks like they got more going on then they letting on. What expedition hires f&*+ing military hardasses like that? I mean I get this is an expedition but f&~@, this thing is packing some firepower. The size of the turrets on this could rival the vesk dreadnoughts hands down!" The ysoki scoffed, leaning back as he took a swig of his nectar ale. "F+!~ing unbelievable. And what the f**! were those things? I doubt they are just gonna let us go like that."
One of the Shirrens looked to Bishop with what could be called a smirk, her antennae flicking. "That was us. We lost one of our crew. Pinned down he saw a volatile section of the hall and gave his life to allow us to escape. Though it seemed to have pissed them off rightfully." She'd pause, glancing to her crew, "Keskodai had a knack for explosives, he's going to be sorely missed."
She paused a for a moment, "Did you encounter anything strange while down there?"
If an Illidari could blush, he would be at this moment. Clearing his throat he would simply nod at her request to undress a bit. He wasn’t really sure how to go about all of this and he wasn’t sure of himself. Jasmine would definitely pick up on his nervousness and innocence in all of this. He seemed distracted by something other then the purpose of him being here. Clearing his throat he’d give Jasmine a sidelong glance before replying with ”As my father put it, ‘A well is a well, and is just as good as any to dip your bucket.” He face screwed up as how crass it was, well at least for him.
”Don’t apologize, I mean. This isn’t probably what your use to.” He frowned at that, looking down upon himself. Though when she talks further he looked up to see her pouring his water. He gulped as he felt a tightness in his chest. He couldn’t pry his eyes off of her, until he had a reason when the glass of water was in his hands. Taking a sip he’d nervously look around the room.
”Well…” He was curious as to why this one was ‘unique cost’. It seemed to attract his father but it appeared his father might of just made a mistake. ”My father has always been jealous of House Lucarin. The big shots. He’s been speaking with the other houses….” He stopped himself, ”I’m… not sure I should say anything more…”
Pit
With his announcement the crowd went quiet, almost in a bit of a shock. There is slight murmuring and a bit of movement before one decided to stand and run from the crowd. Possibly an aid of the side Elaran had crowned himself upon. Tsakua and Inja would take note of the appearance of Octavian and Breewyn shortly before. Suddenly a clamor began to rise, a chant for the Lucarin household, and the two fighters within the ring, Tsakua and Inja. The crowd was obviously split, though it seemed the majority were the supporters of Lucarin. Though the money pot that Octavian gilded got a frenzy of betting going as it drew troves of people, forming quite the massive crowd.
Breewyn, when focusing upon the crystal could feel a strong pulse come from Inja and Tsakua, completely and easily identifiable from everyone ones else’s pulse. Though she feels a strange pulse of life from an illidari that approached the ring. This one was large, larger than most Illidari. His shoulders broad, his armor thick and covered most of his body. He wore a helmet that concealed his features. A sharp guttural laugh lifted from him.
”So these are the two I am to fight?”
Tower
Alreena frowned when they arrived at the tower, troubled. She’d give a glance to Octavian for a moment, giving him a questioning look. The tower’s battle mages were already trying to stabilize the energies with cantations, though Alreena sighed, shaking her head at the attempt. Though she’d give Arion a glance at her comment which only furthered her frown.
”Pure, raw magical energy. When they were attempting to scry, something latched onto it like a hook, an anchor.” Though what it really was, she could not say. She’d motion the rest to follow.
”We might need to unset the crystal. It’s going to drop the barrier.”
Tengu Tower
The guards looked at eachother but nodded, they would quickly usher Pazeek back into the tower. The place was a lot less jovial and many more guards were posted, for the safety of the tengu’s really. He would be lead up to near the top of the tower where a eldar’s hall was. Being brought inside he would be made to wait for about an hour before the Eldar’s appeared.
There were five of them, all damn near the same age. Though there posture was stiff they seemed to have taken a hint at the situation of the city and why the Tengu was here. Once they were all in and the guards closed the doors, securing all six of them inside, the one Pazeek spoke to before began in the native tongue.
”With your status and appearance in the city. Things have taken a bit more for a turn for the worse. Haven’t they my feathered friend?” He’d slowly take one of the seats, clasping his hands together while the others made way to their seats. ”Why is the urgency that you assembled the Eldars of the flock?”
Nope, you totally didn't misjudge that! Reskk nearly did get himself shot at haha.
When Reskk sat himself at one of the empty seats with the cold liquor sitting before it, it drew the attention of every, single, crew member at the table. The looks he received ranged in a wide range of disbelieve, anger, and challenge. Luckily for the white ysoki, he didn't pick up the glass and drink it. The tension that this created was so thick you couldn't even cut it with a knife.
Luckily Molly was there to save the day. The crews at the table slowly relaxed as Molly gave Reskk the run down.
The captain of the Harbinger, a fellow ysoki gave Molly a thankful nod, his hand moving away from the pistol at his hip. A shirren of mottled blue and green gave her a glance. A female voice spoke within her head, 'Thank you.' Shortly after the crew of the Harriden seated themselves, a server would appear, dolling out drinks they may or may have not ordered yet.
It took a moment of silence among the other crew for the tensions to simmer down. It was only broken by the shirren captain of the Illicia.
"To our comrades who fought to the end. To our sisters and brothers in bond, may them see the stars and rest in peace." Raising a glass, everyone followed suit.
"May they find glory in what ever awaits them now." the ysoki captain spoke up.
The illidari seemed to get slightly more nervous when Jasmine began to undo part of her top. Looking away he’d scratch at his upper arm. ”Well… that sounds a bit more… pleasant.” he’d promptly find a seat, which was lavishly cushioned for obvious reasons, though they seemed lost on the younger, scrawny illidari.
[b]”My father? I guess it doesn’t hurt to tell you. He’s the head of the house of Luthis. Second only to the Lucarin in terms of spellcasters and crafters.” He’d say with a bit of pride in his voice. ”Though, he tends to be a bit antiquated and fixated on past glories.”
”Is… is there something I could drink?”
Lucarin Estate
Alreena frowned but stood either way. ”If you wish Arion, the farthest we will be going is to the ward tower. We won't be venturing out far into the desert. The tower is equipped with a focusing crystal, allowing us to scry a short distance.” She’d give a short nod to the soldier who would then lead her, and anyone else who wanted to follow her out through the city.
It’d take a bit but they would eventually leave the city walls and travel across the desert for a short distance to one of the ward towers. The tower itself was visibly pulsing with tendrils of magic. A curse left Alreena as she immediately broke into a sprint towards the tower.
”What the hell is going on!” She’d yell at the top of her lungs, drawing attention of some of the battlemages at the tower, another running up to meet with them.
”We were trying to inspect the magical readings we were picking up, as soon as we bagan to use the scrying crystal everything began to overload with this raw energy!”
Subterfuge
It would be at least an hour or so of sweeping the floors before Qahnaarin would notice a man who matched with whom he saw previously. He walked through the estates grounds and out through the gate, passing by the sweeping laborer without even a spare glance. He’d stop at a guard of the estate, speaking in a low voice.
Perception DC 15:
Everything is set. Ensure no one enters or leaves without my express written authorization. If you have to, kill any intruders. The Black Swan is almost awake.”
The Fighting Pit
Tsakua would find himself drawing many eyes on his way back to the ring, rumors and whispers, cheers and jeers. Though mostly cheers. He had made a small name for himself during his time in the ring, and now it seemed though by him wearing the colors of Lucarin, he was generating more of a buzz.
He’d arrive at the fighting ring, with a small crowd following him.
When Molly approached the foreman, he'd stop and look to her with a curious uprise eye brow. A smirk crossed his lips then as he gave her a slow nod, "Ergonomic requirements...." He'd say slowly as he made a note into the ledger he carried. "Well I think we can rustle something up, make sure it's a bit more cushioned for the softer side of your rump." He'd grin then, "Make it two rounds, and I'll make sure I can you something better then a steward vessel."
As the crew head out for the cantina, their PC's would give them an appropriate path through the maze of halls and corridors. It was their first time deeper into the Exodus then previously. Most of the crew being confined to the hangars on initial launch. They would pass plenty of other crew and quite a varying degree of mixture among the species. The ship was immaculately built and tended to, it was as state of art you could get in a vessel of this size. It took them a good thirty minutes of travel to get through the crowded corridors and elevator rides to get to the central 'Common Area' of the ship.
Passing through the large door into the main section, they would see that a massive section of the exodus was built to provide faux planetary simulations. Timed lights, greenery with plenty of living spaces and shops and eateries. You could hear some laughter in the crowd that occupied the central area. The cantina in question was a bit of a ways down though its neon lights stuck out like a sore thumb. A central hot spot for the crews to unwind.
Coming into the cantina, the crew would be greeting with an welcoming aroma and music playing in the background. They would immediately see a large table half occupied by the other two crews. You'd notice a few empty seats were between them too and they seemed a little somber. at these few seats, were a glass upon a napkin, filled with a dark liquor. There were plenty of available seats to either side of them for the crew to seat themselves.
His hand would move up to rub the back of his neck nervously. Clearing his throat he frowned, ”N-No. Not really.” He said as he took a moment to take his surroundings. ”I actually don't really want to be here.. But my father insisted.” Looking to Jasmine he’d suddenly blush, feeling awkward.
Clearing his throat again, he’d fumble with his words, ”You know… becoming a ‘man’.”
Everyone Else
She would remain silent for a moment as the bird seemed a bit dumbfounded at their suggestion. She’d signal for Pazeek to hold for a moment before opening a small satchel at her waist, pulling out what appeared to be a ring with a signet attached. She’d hand it over to him, ”Take this, maybe this will help convince them that your coming from my house with this request.”
When that was done she’d look to Qahnaarin, ”I cannot place a finger upon them directly, you may have to go and observe which one who looks like who you’ve seen. Though they are in the upper ring in the eastern district, near the wall. Small plot of land for that house.”
She would stand herself, brushing the wrinkles out of her battle gown. ”I will go and speak with your Step-brother Octavian, my son. Let’s move quickly and hopefully in the next couple of days we can avoid a civil war from breaking out.”
Just a moment before she would dismiss herself a guard would run into the dining room panting. He'd look at the gathered crowd but would then look to Alreena. "Lady Lucarin, our north eastern ward tower is picking up unidentifiable magical auras in the depths of the desert and small tremors. The casters requested your presence to see if you can determine what it is. They are gravely concerned."
