Vilesse has extra hp from reading the rune; she shouldn't be at 12/13 hp. I thought I had her current in my stat block above her post. Also, did the blood make its Evil Eye save?

Vilesse grimaces and shakes her head to throw off the effects of the creature's scream. "It's another demon, a personal demon of the Guardian of the Abyssal Lake of Blood. It can summon others of its kind."

She throws a wave of baleful energy at it, hoping to weaken it for further attacks.

I can't see the screenshot, either. What I normally do, GM, is click on 'Get Shareable Link' in the Share pop-up window. That lets anybody with the link see it.

I agree with any plan that has Vilesse in back of the line of scrimmage but within 30' of where we expect the enemies to be.

Vilesse throws her hands over her eyes just in time to keep from being blinded. "The fire sphere is alive!" She racks another bolt and raises her crossbow, ready to fire as she backs away with the others.

Wulfric posted while I was writing. I'll take back my attack and do a double move instead, one to reload the crossbow and one to retreat with the rest of the group.

Vilesse frowns and stows her spear on her back to get out her crossbow. "It's a tuathi demon. Resistant to all but cold iron and blessed weapons. Immune to lightning and poison, almost as resistant to acid, cold, and flames. And these have an aura around them that can make even the bravest man run screaming."

"I... am not sure we can defeat this creature." In spite of her words, she racks a bolt and fires it at the demon.

Vilesse twirls her hand and her now-familiar quartet of dancing lights coalesce out of the air. She gestures at the far end of the room and they zip off to illuminate the area Wilf indicated.

I'm assuming she can still use Dancing Lights, since they're at-will? If not, Vilesse will just stand there and look in that direction.

It just occurred to me that without Hound, Vilesse shouldn't have been able to recover spells. He's her spellbook, and he's waiting for us back at the entrance.

Since she got all those CLWs, Vilesse will cast as many as she needs to get the party back to close to full health. I figure within 2 hp is close enough.

Vilesse puts her hand on Wilf. "My healing is not as pleasant as his." She whispers a few words and suddenly it's like being dropped into a freezing lake. After a moment that seems to go on forever, the cold passes and the wounds are gone.

She moves on to Tomi next, with her unpleasant form of healing. When she is done, he looks nearly fully healed.

Tomi has been with the group since the first encounter in the village. We've had a fair number of fights together with him. I get what you're saying from an OOC perspective, but from an IC perspective the PCs' friend is close to death. To me, it doesn't make sense that they would just say 'hey, Tomi, you're not quite dead, let's go fight some more monsters'.

Tomi only has 2 hp. I get that he's a GMPC now, but for the PCs he's a buddy who's been around for a while. I'm fine with Vilesse memorizing all CLWs to fix up Tomi and running with just hexes until their next rest period.

V has Cure on her spell list but doesn't typically prep it. If we want to give it 2 rounds of sleeping she can prep her Cure spells, cure people, then prep her normal spells again. Or really, since her spells aren't her main schtick, she could prep all Cure spells in her lvl 1 slots after 1 go-round of rest and then tough through any encounters with her hexes and sling until we rest again.

V would love the brooch, but I'm sure Ausk would, too. How should we decide who gets it?

Cast Dancing Lights, place them near the ceiling to eliminate the mephit's concealment from darkness.

I can't see Roll20, so just move Vilesse out of the way of the party and try to keep her within hex range, please.

Vilesse shakes her head at the pointless sling and puts it away. Now that her companions are nearby, she returns to attacking magically. "I would surrender if I were you, little demon. These people know how to hurt you."

Vilesse jumps away from the cone of flame, managing to only come away with a painful singe. She glowers at the little monster, sending out a baleful wave of mental energy. "Come down, demonling. Come down and play."

In the future, Ausk might want to wait to cast spells until after Vilesse throws out her EE vs Saves. It wouldn't have made a difference this time, but it might going forward.

She'll try Slumber (DC 15, -2 to save) on the mephit this round. Then EE vs AC the next round and EE vs attacks in round 3.

Vilesse watches from above as the others climb down, maneuvering her lights to give the best view of the ropes and the rocks for the climbers.
