So after reading and prepping this game I need to ask. Is it just me or is this game super tough? This game seems extremely brutal especially at level 1-2. Between weather mechanics and misfortune, you can easily one shot low characters on accident

Played this as my first non-quest PFS2 session, and I've gotta say, if I let this set the tone for how PF2 plays, I wouldn't play it. I didn't see the stat blocks, so I can't say for certain where the blame lies, but according to the GM,

Spoiler:
the swarm of perfectly normal squirrels has DR 6 against all physical damage types.
Makes it a little hard for a character to have literally any effect in that encounter if they're not a mage or a beatstick.

I could be down for this, probably play a Kineticist or a Shifter. And it's snowing here RIGHT NOW.

I ordered this two weeks ago! Why hasn't it shipped yet?

I'm a subscriber and it hasn't shipped yet. Just sit back and wait while people who can go to the con get it before you do, I guess.

I would TOTALLY buy some designs, at the very least. I have a 3D printer on the way before long, but no 3D modeling experience.

Ask and you shall receive, I guess; got my confirmation last night.

I just want to say thank you to the Paizo team for being upfront about this. Mine is going bad on one end, but I probably wouldn't have noticed until it became a problem during a game if I didn't know to look.

So, just FYI, the link to the sale prices seems to have an endless redirect thing going on at the moment.

Seems that the link embedded in the image is faulty, even on kickstarter. The one in the text worked though. Looking forward to giving this a try!

Hey guys, I think I should probably drop out. I'm trying to do Nanowrimo this year, and even without that I haven't been able to keep up with you. Please feel free to use Latimer as you see fit, I just feel guilty for not being able to catch up, and the further I fall behind the less it looks like I will anytime soon.

Arcane Lore: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34

"On second thought, they can handle the crane." Latimer opines, before adjusting his jacket and disappearing entirely.

Latimer runs up a stack of crates to keep an eye on things, but stay out of the way, or the authorities' notice. Once he's there, he trains his wand on the loose crane hoist, and with a mutter of "Illigo!" tries to bind it back together until someone gets the thing on the ground. Again, his wand fails him, and Latimer curses under his breath, and is forced to simply hope that the people inside can hold on until someone who knows what they are doing can get them down.

Arcane Knowledge: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18
Using Mystic Binding to hold the crate up, not sure that his move object can handle something that large. Maybe, but why risk it? Failed anyway.

Male Human Bard 3 / Expert 2

Once the boy is safely on the ground, Latimer steps out, still concealed, and turn his attention to the suited gunmen. Seeing one had fallen, and another about to be dealt with, Latimer trained his wand on the third, and with a quick shout of "Illigo!" attempts to bind him in force.
Mystic Knowledge: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Unfortunately, Latimer failed to activate the stored spell, and decides to run over and check on the fallen kid before trying again.

Sorry, missed the post about the thread moving.

I'm definitely interested in something like this, I love both 2e M&M and Dresden, so 100% down with that. I have two ideas in mind.

First, a sort of awakened mathematician/physicist. Someone who studied the physical laws governing the universe before his own magical potential was awakened, and can now manipulate matter by altering the states and properties of matter. Raising and lowering acceleration, or mass, or inertia, as if adjusting an equation to get the desired result.

Second, and I'm being 100% derivative here, would be a sort of magical gadgeteer. Independently powerless, but with a collection of magical artifacts, and a decent mind for magical theory.

Dresden spoiler:

I am terrible at writing long campaigns, and I have a bunch of players champing at the bit for a 20-level 6-tier mythic game. Won't somebody take all this money from me?

I am in! I sent you a PM a bit ago, but looking in my box, it seems I was listed as "Anonymous Visitor", and that may make responding a touch difficult. Is this a thing that failed to happen by now, though?

Sorry to see the lack of replies, but I actually just bought that book last month and would love to be able to actually play a game with it (I live in the boonies, here thar may be dragons, but very little in the way of geeks). If you know of anyone elsewhere willing to play, I'm all in. I have a board set up for a previous (failed) d&d game I could renovate pretty quickly too, if needed. Assuming you're still interested, of course.
