FORMER Eagle Knight if you dont mind.
Why Roland thankyou for proving my point.
You dont have to follow orders if they pertain to an unjust law , but who decides what law is unjust ..YOU or the One you follow.
If you follow orders against your personal interpretation of the situation then you have give up the right to think for yourself and have joined the ranks upon ranks of the sheep .....Maybe that's what the order should of been Sheep Knight's.
And who ever said a slave is better off free when most get feed, clothed, sheltered all for a little servitude.
If you must fight for them then fight for their treatment oppose the owners who mis-treat them and show them a new way, but just stealing them away to give them "Freedom" makes you nothing more than thieves.
Surely its better all round that if they want freedom they take it themselves, decide for themselves and not just wait for another voice to tell them to go free ....
Free to starve.... Free to freeze .... free to steal property ... now thats just following your example.
So yes I do view death as the ultimate freedom but that is one freedom I will fight against for as long as I am able and follow my own convictions.
