Hey everyone, it was a fun game, thanks for running EltonJ. Was definitely a fun little excursion into the Dark Sun setting.

Veleron has interests in trying to find local druid's in the area for reasons that likely concern dealing with trying to protect the land and to see what they might know or have learned in their years of study. He would eventually carry on to other towns/settlements.

Veleron then calls upon the power of the desert as he summons an Ash Storm making it so that the storm's edge (that is closest to the Caravan) starts at the middle-front section of the Halfling Brigade, and then rolls back into the rest of the Halfling group from there. He will let his Shifting Sands continue shifting audaciously where he summoned it previously. Basically trying to impede and annoy the Halflings as much as possible.

Ash Storm Spell:

Driving ash blocks all sight (even darkvision) within the spell's area of effect, and falling cinders cause the ground in the area to become difficult terrain.

Veleron eggs his Hyenas on and then casts a spell at the Halflings.
Shifting Sand, trying to catch as many as he can in its 20-foot spread, centered towards the front of the group DC16 reflex to not be entangled if they begin their turn in it or enter it.

Shifting Sand:

Range=170 feet
Area=20 foot spread
You cause an earthen or sandy surface to shift and churn within the area. The shifting sand obliterates tracks and is considered difficult terrain. Acrobatics checks in the area take a penalty equal to your caster level (-7). Creatures entering or beginning their turn in the shifting sand must make a Reflex save each round (DC 16) or become entangled until the beginning of their next turn. If they attempt to move while entangled, they must make a second Reflex save or fall prone. Creatures with the stability racial trait (like dwarves) may apply it as a bonus on their saving throws.

As a move action, you may move the area of shifting sand up to 10 feet in any direction. Creatures that are entangled or prone in the spell's area are carried along with the shifting sand in the same direction if possible. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity. Unattended Medium or smaller objects may also be carried along or shallowly buried by the shifting sand.

His pack of Hyenas move to up to greet the halflings, front in the hopes of some dinner.

Veleron eyes the puny halflings with distaste, his characteristic low growl emitting out from his fanged mouth. He begins to cast Summon Nature's Ally 3, calling out several Hyenas.

Veleron has decided to spend the day as a large cat, ignoring any discomfort it might cause he uses his new forms speed and the Longstrider spell to keep a hefty pace and an eye, and nose, out for trouble.

Veleron is happy to oblige Josie for tea, it is a rare treat that he rarely gets to partake in. He takes on air of great knowing: ”If you have to ask, then you may never know it’s true joy.”

As far as the nightly watches are concerned, he happily takes over second, or third watch depending on who is doing wha that th is point ).

Veleron keeps his eyes trained towards the Elves as well, he sighs to himself at the Half-Giants words and clamps his mouth. Talking did only seem to get him into trouble, the Half-Giant spoke sense.

Veleron stops and clears his throat, doing his best to shrug off the failed attempt and to maintain a semblance of face.

The Druid grumbles to himself but otherwise falls in line with the proposed plan. Though he stops momentarily, turning in Josie's direction.
"Wait, where did you meet such a creature? Sounds... 'unnatural'."

Veleron snarls at the Worm and continues the assault alongside his Leopard. He does shift 5 foot step, to make sure that he helps along with the two Huge Giants to keep the worm away from the caravan. He also stops shimmering, realizing the futility of it against an eyeless opponent.

Veleron’s attacks should all be at -1 to hit. I mathed poorly at some point and wrote it down wrong previously, forgot the -1 for being large. So my 2nd Claw prob missies at a 19 instead of 20 (assuming previous guess work concerning its AC is accurate).

Veleron brow does furrow slightly at the thought of more attacks, and he will continue on with his normal place towards the center of the group. He keeps his eyes open for trouble as well.

Nothing really comes to mind, I'm always a fan of some sort of extra-dimensional space. Their relatively cheap (or at least several are) and it's hard to oversell their utility.

If you want a little bit more than just space, and end up with a bit more reagents you could make a Bag of Concealment type 1. I can't think of anything cheap that would help with your summoning though.

Another cheap item that comes to mind is the Robe of Infinite Twine. Lots and lots of rope...

Veleron goes about his morning business. He uncouthly gives his rear a few good long scratches in response to some sand in the area.

"Ahhhh, that's the stuff." He wiggles his rump in satisfaction.

Veleron, for whatever reason, seems quite lively today as he goes about his morning rituals and castings. He contemplates how far they have traveled so far and ponders how much further they have to go.

You cause an earthen or sandy surface to shift and churn within the area. The shifting sand obliterates tracks and is considered difficult terrain. Veleron groans inwardly, hitting another village so soon after having just left Tyr did not amuse him in the slightest. He scratched at his chin where a beard might have been, a sign of annoyance to be sure.

If that weren't all bad enough: "...More Elves!?" he reflexively started to reach for his pack before thinking better of himself. "I suppose we will need more supplies."

Veleron returns to his spot as well. Defiler or not, he "had" to get to Kurn. This was very important to him in a way the words simply could not describe, and so even the thought of the Defiler slowly eased its presence on his mind.

As he rides towards his position, he takes a moment to swing in with Azhul, pausing beside the Half-Giant awkwardly for a few moments, clearly not accustomed to much social interaction.
