Hello, this is Daniel Stewart and this is my character submission. Most of the crunch is there...just needing to work on some of the fluff.

have fun everyone!!

OK, all done...I hope!!

Ok, everything should be there except background (Courtier...trying to find it so I can copy/paste) and equipment. Will get them up asap...

your right...my bad...yeah, I will be happy when Hasbro and Lone Wolf get a better agreement in place and ALL the info can be added....

SCRANFORD: Check out the community add-on for Herolab 5e. It pretty much covers all the stuff Lonewolf could not add...it is on the forums in the 5e section.

Ok, here is my alias for Varis Liadon (formerly Mulando). Just re-using an old profile (really wish you could delete those!)
Anyway, background has been added...will continue to add to profile as we go along. Was there anything else you need to count me as "complete"?

Sighting on the one who he feels is the leader, Varis fires three powerful bolts of energy at him.

Magic Missile: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 1, 3) + 3 = 8

Investigation: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

"Thank you Lynore! I thought I could get over that pit...must still be a bit dizzy from being knocked out!"

Dex check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Gahhh...figures..lol

Varis keeps to the back of the group, still smarting over the damage he took from the creature, as well as his own people.

Investigation: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Shaking his head to clear it, Varis give the group a rueful smile.

"Well I guess that is one way to tell who was whom! Now shall we go after that charlatan?"

Varis will look up the chimney, and if he can see..well..himself, then he will fire a bolt of magic at the retreating form...otherwise he will head outside and look to the roof for the creature.

I have no idea if you already knocked me out or what..lol waiting to hear from DM about what is happening.

"The damn thing attacking me in the guise of Rolen! He jumped me and, well, I am not feeling too good."

The wounds on the wizard are very obvious. He sits down, but keeps an eye on his "twin".

"Some healing would be appreciated" the wounded wizard grunts out between clenched teeth.

Current HP: 2/19

Stunned by the attack, and surprised by the creature now taking his shape, Varis calls out to the rest of the party while summoning a swarm of azure darts that fly towards the "creature".

"WARE!! We have been deceived! Awake friends...to battle!"

Magic Missile (upped to 2nd level)
Damage: 4d4 + 4 ⇒ (2, 4, 1, 3) + 4 = 14

"we are looking for missing priests for the High King. They were taken somewhere here in the forest, and we are, or were, on their trail. As soon as the others awake, we will break our fast and continue the search. I hope our detour and resting has not put us too far behind!"

Varis nods and claps the elf on the shoulder as he sits down with his spellbook and reviews the incantations he will dedicate to memory today.

Investigate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Varis seem anxious, but with a sigh, nods his head.

"I do not think we can accomplish much more in this rain and darkness. Lets give this place a good once over. We do not want any surprises during the night!"

Not sure if perception or investigation should be used

Varis looks over to Lynore and shrugs.

"Off to the cabin then. I hope the priests are there...I am afraid they may not have much time left!"

Stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

Varis sets the map down so everyone can see it.

"Well it looks like the only structure around. Perhaps they are holding the priests there. I think we should check it out. What do the rest of you think?"

Varis is surprised at the sudden appearance of these people. He bows to the Green Knight.

"Our thanks Sir Knight. It is good that one such as you is patrolling the groves. We are searching for 2 priests who were taken and have tracked them into these woods. Have you happened across any sign of others out here?"

He waits for a reply, then turns and thanks all the newcomers.

"We were very lucky that you all heard us and came to our aid. We are on a mission for the High King and his court to locate 2 missing priests. If you are still in a 'giving' mood, we could use such stout adventurers by our side. Is that not right Lynore?"

Lastly he will search the dead bandit for clues.

Investigate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Varis fires another bolt of fire towards the axe wielder.

Firebolt: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 6 + 1 = 26
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 4

Varis fires another bolt of fire at the Berserker.

Attack-ranged: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 2

That is really cool...wish I had thought to run my wand through those charts...is it too late DM?

Varis fires off a bolt of fire at the raging barbarian in hope of taking him down.

Attack-ranged: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
(Advantage Roll) Attack-ranged: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 6

ok...sounds good....maybe we will find someone wandering the forest...as Kofax wanders off on his own..

Attempting to put an end to this battle quickly, Varis casts a spell of slumber on the bandits.

Sleep spell: 5d8 ⇒ (4, 1, 6, 4, 6) = 21 hp affected

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Nope, nothing to see here...move along!!

Varis smiles and nods back to Kolfax. He looks over to Lynore to see if she has anything to add before he begins to follow the blazes deeper into the woods.

LOL...that's Ok...we just need him to be our big, beefy meat shield...

Varis examines the marks and seems to be ready to dismiss them, when his eyes suddenly widen and a smile crosses his lips.

"Yes, yes! That is what it is! I am sure. My friends, come here and gather round. These odd marks are not simply random scratches, but rather markers for a path...probably all the way through this forest. They most likely, knowing those who made them, lead to the sacred groves of the Ffolk. We should follow them as it will hasten our travel through this forest!"

Arcana: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

LOL..yeah, I should have said out loud!!

"A wise old elf once told me when you come upon a split in the road, to always bare right, for you could not go wrong, if you went right!"

Varis starts down the right-hand path.

I suggest the right hand path, for no real reason, other than you cannot go wrong if you go right!! lol

Is that a Nature skill check? Dont have that, so I guess it is a WIS check for me!

Wis check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

Varis enjoys his time at the Keep and decides to stay the night there. While mingling, he asks after his cousins, the Llewyrr elves.

I dont :-)

Welcome back Lynore! Glad you had fun camping! Was my selection of magic item ok? How about my leveling up?

Ok, looks like I am all updated, and as my reward I too the Wand of the War Mage +1.

"Well it looks like you could use more help than just delivery agents. Is there anything we could do to help with this problem. I would like to help against these Banites, as I am sure they are causing trouble for my cousins, the Llewyrr elves, as well as to the innocent people of your kingdom."

Varis tells of the voyage and the attack by pirates and the wizard.

"It seems that your king has many enemies. May I ask, what are all the weapons for? Is he planning a war?"

"I have here a letter from Tristan Kendrick, High King of the Ffolk, and it is to him, and him alone that we will release this cargo, as he has stated in this missive!"

Varis stands defiantly before the tarred boxes awaiting the man's response.

Varis sighs with relief as the guards surround them and take them to the Keep.
"Have you been having much trouble with the Baneites?"

"We were tasked to deliver these crates to the King. Can we please continue on before someone or thing tries to attack us again!"

Do we have some sort of paperwork or order that shows we are making this delivery to the king? If so, I will show it to the guardsman.

"I hope to the eldar gods you are the kingsmen! We were set upon by these scaley little monsters while trying to carry out the kings business. Could you please escort us to the palace where we may deliver these crates to your liege!"

"Well lets get things back in order and move these crates to the king. It is obvious someone does not want them to reach their destination! Can anyone drive one of these things?"

Are any of the drivers still alive/around?[/ooc]

Not happy with the results of his last spell, Varis conjures 3 darts of energy and sends them at one of the kobold archers.

Magic Missile-Damage: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (2, 1, 2) + 3 = 8

Thank god...I needed that! lol

Advantage-Attack-Magical Ranged: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

You have got to be kidding me!!! lol

Seeing the scaly little beast trying to takeover the cart, Varis targets it with a firebolt.

Attack-magical ranged: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 5
