The swarm can double move for 20ft, I think. And controlling it takes a standart action so Variel only have a move action, no?

Yea, that was what I was trying to do in my last post. Variel soend his standart action to command the swarm to follow the ninja.

GM V I believe the black ninja takes damage from the swarm before he moves last round. Vomit swarm is just standart action to cast, I moved close to him when casted the spell and the spider swarm also moves 40ft. It does not have to roll attack, just end its movement by the enemy's square to do dmg, poison and distraction ability..

Variel concentrates to direct the swarm after the escaping ninja.

Variel advances toward the northern attackers, his body convulsing violently until he finally starts to vomit live insects. The spiders pile into a black mass that quickly moves to the nearest enemy, eating everything in its path.

Very true. Bastard resisted all my better hexes, healing was the only thing left for me to do, spent everything but the 1st lvl spells. Very challenging, I had a lot of fun.

After the creature demise Variel quickly casts a cure at Elliot and helps the dwarf to move away from the goo. Taking a deep breath he finally stops laughting, his throat raw from the effort.

Spontaneus casts CMW in place of web.

GM Tyranius you attacked Ramsis on the dice and your post description but put the damage on Variel on the sumary below. Which one of us got it in the end?

GM Tyranius I backtracked on the thread to check which spells Variel had cast and realised something. Ramsis casted protection from evil on Elliot in the prep time before this fight. Assuming the creature is evil, and since Elliot do not have other source of deflection bonus, his current AC against it is actually 24. Which would avoid tentacle 3's attack last round. I may change my action if that is the case. Hope this thing is evil.

GM Tyranius the will save in the evil eye hex does not negate the hex's effect, it just reduces the duration. Normally it lasts for 3 + the witch’s intelligence modifier in rounds, a will save reduces this to just 1 round. But the cackle hex allows Variel to extend that one round as long as he spent his move action cackling.

Slumber hex, Will DC 17 negates.
