I am making a level 7 cleric of Gorum who wields a great sword. I have 23500 starting gold and am not sure what gear to buy. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
I am making a cavalier with the musketeer archetype. What ability scores should I focus on and what are the rules for shooting a musket rifle from horseback? Thanks!
Ok im playing a druid who takes wolf form at level 2. How do I determine my AC when in wolf form?
You do not.
There is a specific enchantment -- Wild -- that would allow you to keep those bonuses, but it's extremely expensive. How much would it cost for a set of hide armor? Do you think my dm would allow me to have my druid mentor enchanted them for me for a fee or reward?
Charon's Little Helper wrote: As Gauss said. And at higher levels with a Wild shield and Wild full plate - druids can have the highest AC in the game. (With the possible exception of dex monks.) . Ok I still don't understand yes or no do I keep the bonus from my hide armor and wood shield in wolf form?
Ok I have a wolf druid with a wooden shield my question is do I keep the shield bonus to my ac when in wolf form? Thanks!
Ok I have a level 1 druid with a wisdom of 17 do I get any bonus spells?
Hey I heard that druids can choose two domains but I can't find anything about it in the core book can someone explain which domains I can choose and how many domain spells per day I get to cast. Also I am making a wold shaman so what domains would go best with that. Thanks!
So how many domains do I get to choose and how often do I get to cast domain spells. Im playing a storm druid so any advice on how to play my character would be appreciated.
A simple response from paizo would be nice I mean there is money on the card that I tried to buy it with I don't understand why my order is stuck as pending because it should have gone through.
Chemlak wrote: It's subscription time, which means that there are literally thousands of shipments going through the warehouse right now, which unfortunately has a knock-on effect regarding orders. They haven't forgotten you, I'm sure.
Also: What does "pending" mean?
Im not sure I think it regards the payment.
Order number 1589396 Oct 18, 2013
My order of the Beginner Box has been pending for more than a week Is there something wrong on their end or mine because I called customer service and didn't get a response. Someone Please Help!

Can you combat maneuver on an attack of opportunity? I am playing a pole arm fighter and it would be nice if I could try to trip my opponents as they close in on me.

Hey I am designing a trap room and I need help finding a spell that will cause the players to see themselves and other creatures as something else.
My idea is that they walk into a six sided room with a jewel in the middle and a statue of a wizard on each wall. The statues will cast a spell on anyone that looks at it and make the PC's see others as monster or monsters as people.
Monster I am thinking of having in the room is a Medusa and my party is comprised of seven level 4 people.
I am going to shave down the stats on the thing I just want to give it more interesting abilities.
Also, if this is a sonic based creature, you may want to consider giving it blindsense(ie sonar), and having the party fight it in the dark. If its intelligent enough it may have powers/items to extiguish light or create darkness.
Either of these tactics can be particularly nasty with a 5th level party though, judge your group from past experience, some like a real challenge, others might get frustrated and rage/quit That's a really cool idea what spell creates darkness so that even characters with dark vision can't see?..
If I wanted to make it so that it's sonic breathe weapon could make them def if they get hit from it what would the mechanics of that be? Sorry for all the noob questions btw.
clawoftiamat wrote: Burrow is just a form of movement. It is part of whatever action it is taking to move. The sonic damage will not deafen a character unless there is some specific ability on that creature that says it will.
Thanks!
Ok I have a group of 5 4th level players and I want the last boss in a dungeon to be a young crystal dragon but there are some things about how to play the creature that I don't understand. First off it says it can burrow now what kind of action is that standard or full? The breathe attack it has does sonic damage but just how much sonic damage can make a player def or does it even work that way? Oh and does anyone have any cool Ideas for how I could make the encounter more interesting im open to any ideas. thanks!
Ok i have a level 10 bard and want to multi class him with a rogue how does base attack, saves, etc stack. Also if i level to 11 would that level mean my rogue level would be at 3 or 2 because 1 level from 10-11 would be worth a few low level levels in terms of xp.
Thanks so much for the help
Ok im having trouble understanding how ranged touch attacks work. How do the rules for it work and how does it make sense that you can touch someone who is not adjacent to you?

Not that I can think of. There are feats that add more modifiers like skill focus, but they don't increase your ranks. They just add to your final skill check.
I would like to point out that you can invest more than one rank in a skill in a level-up, but that would be because you had not invested in that skill at an earlier level and are now investing to catch up. The most skill ranks a character can have is limited to their character level.
Thanks that clears things up for me. =)
Deer wrote: Yes, that is correct. but it does not mean that the complete score can only be one.
If Stealth is a class skill, you get as following:
1 rank + dex modifier (lets say +2) + 3 = 6
If you have feats that gives bonus, add these as well.
On the other hand, unless you play rogue there should be enough skill you need, for you distribute the skill-points properly
Wait are there any special things then that would allow a rogue to put more than 1 rank in a skill per level ?
Hey can someone explain how the " you cant have more ranks in a skill than your total HD" thing. Would that mean at level 1 you can only have 1 rank in a skill????? How does this work lol?
Does anyone have the stats for a standard switch blade with a 4.5-5 inch blade and would it have any special properties?

Craft Gnomish Submersible
To avoid being crushed, the crew must travel in water within the vessel (water breathing) allowing survival. Water is allowed to enter the hull through micropores. The Vessel looks like an Iron Fish 7' wide and 20' long. Pilot and 2 passengers.
Requirements: 20th level wizard; Spells - major creation, Water breathing, Fly
Enchant Hull:
major creation (iron) [each spell creates 10' x 10' x 2"] : 5th level spell x 8 spells = 40
Fly : 3rd level spell x 8 spells = 24
Water breathing : 3rd level spell x 8 spells = 24
total spell levels = 88 spell levels
Enchant cost = 88 spell levels x 3000gp = 264,000gp
Enchant Time = 1 week + 1 day per 1000gp or 271 days.
Thanks this is what I was looking for.
Does anyone know what spell would be appropriate to make a gnome submersible immune to the pressures of the deep ocean depths? And if so could someone give me a chart that relates spell level with depths?
The specific submersible is listed on page 53 & 54 in the 3.0 Arms and Equipment Guide. It is about 70 ft long and weighs about 10 tons.
Thanks that was the explanation that I was looking for.

Can someone explain why?
Bonus points if your explanation is funny or creative.
Dwarves are awesome dude hands down my favorite race to play.
This is not really clarified in the Core Rulebook. =(

Right now, under misc (and under Ranks, I usually put a L for level, since most of the time, I just take a couple of skills and max them out), but now that I think of it, this might warrant its own column in the skill section. Maybe instead of the check box for class skill, or maybe do something that combines these. Im just wondering because if they are under Misc. MoD. then do they at count as ranks so you can add them to meet a requirement of x ranks in a skill to craft or do y.
Kamelguru wrote: Misc. I think there are sheets out there with a line for "Trained". Thanks that's what I thought.

Ross Byers wrote: The way I look at it is:
If you know something, it's Knowledge (X),
If you do something, it's Profession (X),
If you make something, it's Craft (X),
Thanks for the advice.
Shadewest wrote: You have it exactly right. If you have a craft skill, you don't also need a profession skill to go along with it. Rank is Craft:armor makes you an armorsmith. Ah thanks a lot
But my problem is that I am making a dwarf cleric who is an armorsmith by profession because that was what he did before he joined the clergy of said god, so I want to put points into profession because that was his profession but its is listed simply as craft in the skills list.
Lathiira wrote: If performing a given job involves creating a physical object, it's a Craft skill. Profession skills can involve making things, but you need a broad set of skills to do them. A farmer, for example, needs to know something about soil, weather, climate, his animals, what he wants to plant, when to plant, etc. The Craft skill defines what's possible pretty well in its entry. Then shouldnt there be requirements for certain professions for example armor smith would require x points in craft armor and farmer would require x points in knowledge nature or geography?
Ok wouldn't putting skill points into profession "armor smith" be the same as putting points into "craft armor"? Because there were people with armor smith as their profession back when swords and armor played a role on the battlefield in real life.

Most characters do not have spell resistance. Especially not low-level characters made up of the standard humanoid races in the Core Rulebook. If you do play a creature that has spell resistance, or gain an item or ability that provides spell resistance, the equation to determine it should be listed in that thing's specific description. Thanks a bunch. =)
