Valerie had remained silent for most of it. Talking to bandits wasn't her favorite pastime. Normally she'd insist Kressle be clapped in irons at the least, but giving her a shot at redemption here seemed fair so she let it all pass.

When the others were discussing organising their mass suicide she had to interrupt though. "Do you really think it's a good idea to just run in, let them surround us with at least a dozen of them, including three officers and the stag lord himself and try to fight our way out of there? And here I though organising a mass suicide as more in Harrim's wheelhouse."
She sighed and paused for a second before continuing, "Ever heard of the terms 'divide and conquer'? That's what we should do. Split them up in smaller groups, take those out and move on to the next."

"If they become a regular thing, night missions, I might need to start training myself to get around without seeing. Hone other senses. But that's for later, right now I'll have to make due with my lantern. Which will give away our position." Valerie was holding the lantern on her belt in one hand. If she put it away she'd be good as blind but she also wouldn't give away their position. But if she tripped and broke her leg she'd be useless.

"Let's wait and see what the scout reports and make our choices then."

Those two really made sure Valerie's eye muscles got a good exercise, as she rolls them at every cringeworthy comment by Regongar or Octavia.

"Do we actually know the lay of the land around the fort? Are there any other possible approaches other than the front door?"

When it comes to crafting skills Valerie also has Craft(Weapons). She'll also get full Craft(Armor) progression when she grabs Master Armorer.

How are we to do mundane gear? Can I just pick things like masterwork crafting tools or do we have limited funds?
Can I masterwork the spikes I'm placing on my shield? (I can do that while taking 10 if I have masterwork tools)

1 person marked this as a favorite.

The Master Armorer Advanced Armor training is high on my list (though lvl 6 at the earliest) which would allow me to make magic armor.

Hey all.

I have played the game several times, never completed it though. Biggest thing for me there was getting stuck in the second to last act before Owlcat applied some changes there.
