About Valek
Black hair, emerald/sickly yellow eyes, fair skin.
Valek was born to a rare happy union of a human father and elven mother. The mother and father were both arcane researchers and explorers. They travel widely to locate magical artifacts and to bring them back to civilization to research. Though they were not part of the Pathfinder Society, the nature of their work has given them a lot of contacts in there.
On one particular journey, the family brought back an unusual artifact. It was a strange orb that glowed with an unearthly flame within. They transporting the item to the dropoff point when they were ambushed by a large group of thugs, hoping to steal it. In the scuffle, the orb shattered, summoning a demon, who immediately obliterated the thugs. The parents, both knowing they could not survive, threw themselves onto the demon, unleashing everything they had to send it away.
Valek was the only survivor of that incident, losing only his right eye. He was taken in by a friend of his parents, a member of the Dark Archive. Using the pain he suffered of losing his parents, he dove into his studies and training. Over time, his lost eye mysteriously returned, but it was never the same. The color did not match his mother's emerald eyes, but it was a sickly yellow.
Valek is now a part of the Dark Archives, dedicated to finding mystical artifacts and bringing it back to the vault to study. He will stop at no ends to take these dangerous things, and if he fails to do so, he will destroy it.
