Male Half-Orc Witch 3 (Scarred Witch Doctor)/Ranger 3 (Warden)

Uru sighs and pulls another arrow from his quiver again, "I hate these shamblers." He looses the arrow at a nearby zombie.

Attack vs closest wounded zombie 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage if a hit 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Unit 1

Suddenly an arrow comes flying out of the darkness behind the group heading right at the zombies.

Attack Composite Longbow 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Damage if a hit 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

"Damn deadheads! This dark magic should be left alone!" The voice was heavily accented and sounded quite angry. The source slowly appeared from the dark as a mask looking like some kind of tusked frog appeared from the darkness. "Why is it that fools everywhere turn to using these walking corpses?"

The masked man cursed in some odd as his arrow flew right past.

So far for my grand entrance. As for the cursing, if you speak Giant you'll hear some very colorful language.

Any idea yet when you fit me in?

Just say when

So, how will I end up with the rest?

Took longer than anticipated, but Uru is finally done

Oh the start isn't the problem, wearing an armored kilt, which also has 0% spell failure, just like my mithral buckler (another positive of ranger). Hmm, 3.5 stuff might be ok? How about the Twilight armor enhancement? (worth a +1 bonus, eats 10% spell failure)

As far as tight spots go, I'm a Scarred Witch Doctor, 18 Con goes a long way.

Kal, I'm also a Witch, so I'll still be throwing around hexes and sowing mischief besides switch-hitting.

As for the ranged thing, I was mostly referring to ranged weapons, not spells.

I'll go ranger, so I'll fix my stuff.

It may sounds silly, but the only thing keeping me from finishing is the choice between Ranger and Druid.

The Druid is a better flavor choice, but I'll suffer far worse from MAD due to two spellcasting stats. I'll also lose skillpoints. Oh, and I hate Wildshape (don't ask me why)

Ranger makes sure I get full saves and BAB and more skillpoints. The question however, is how much I'll use that full BAB, especially since I'm limited on armor due to arcane spell failure and a ranged (Half) Orc seems just wrong to me.

Just make it a regular club for all mechanical reasons except it's actually made of green rock. Keep the mechanics and just change the fluff.

Yeah, I guess Masterworking it and calling it "greenstone" instead of jade is the easiest option.

What remains is gear and actually deciding whether I want to stick to Ranger or go Druid instead.

Nice work on the background. :)

Thanks

Got a question, might be silly but it's part of the fluff for my character. I'm looking to get a mere club made out of jade. It'd be a mostly ceremonial weapon, a gift before Uru went on his vision quest (which in turn landed him in Chance).

Now the question is, what would the thing cost me and how would it work? The mere club has the fragile quality by default but the type of jade, Pounamu, that these clubs are made of is really hard (which also is the reason using Stone isn't an option). Besides that, it's a valuable stone.

o.O

....well, ummm.....I don't really know. That big a chunk of jade would definitely cost a pretty penny. I'd say cost it out like mithral, so +500gp/lb. Not really sure what to do about the hardness. I am open to sugggestions.

Hmm, that's quite expensive for a ceremonial piece that won't see any combat use. I'll see what I end up doing. As for the Hardness things, I think treating it as masterwork would be half the work, as that makes the fragile quality fall off.

EDIT: Got a question in regards to helping me figure out whether to grab Ranger or Druid: Will we ever move beyond the city of Chance?

Isn't the Book of Exalted Deeds Vow of Poverty the quick road to being ridiculously overpowered?

Cuàn here

Still having trouble deciding whether I want to go Druid or Ranger as my second class. Started building him as Ranger but now I'm no longer sure. (I am sure though that I'll grab the Frog domain if I go Druid, fits with the mask in the picture. It's just too bad they haven't made a Frog familiar yet).

I have settled on Half-Orc over Orc.

Was part of an orcish raiding party as part of her shaman training. When she refused to senselessly slaughter unarmed travellers she was beaten to within an inch of her life while some of the travellers escaped. After she was left for dead said travellers attended to her and then brought her to Sandpoint where she was treated by Niska Mvashti. When she came to she adopted the last name Mva both to honor the woman that nursed her back to health and to permanently break with her past.

Using the Scarred Witch Doctor archetype. I know there is some discussion on whether or not Half Orcs qualify or not. I could easily turn her into a full Orc if you say they aren't elegible.
