Well, since I've been unconscious for nearly two weeks, I'm assuming this game is over.

Thanks for the fun idea, Nayr! It was fun to get a taste of Starfinder, and I'd love to do it again if you find players who are interested in the genre.

I am fascinated by the system, so far. It scratches an itch I have from the brief period of time I tried to play Shadowrun.

However, I have been a bit frustrated by the pace. If moving to something else will speed things up and potentially convince another player to join us, great, but I would like to see this continue.

As with any first character, I think I made some mistakes developing this one...

"If there is a crew alive on this thing, they are going to need to answer for leaving so many violent creatures hanging around." He chuckles, "That's probably why the whale was chasing the ship."

Once Adrius is done catching his breath, Hamster heads to the western door and opens it.

Retrieving Adrius' healing serum, Hamster applies it to the prone Lashunta.

Carefully moving away from the creatures, Hamster quickly aims the rifle and fires at the nearest creature.

I don't think I am in a threatened square, since they are Tiny. I am not sure if there are any penalties to shooting from an adjacent square.

Grumbling under his breath about invisible flame demons who like practical jokes, Hamster decides to walk around the room, scanning for anything of value.

If he makes it through the room unmolested, he'll head to the western door and prepare to open it.

"May as well keep moving. If the thing wants to play a prank on us it will, whether we are prepared or not.

Come to think of it, why to creatures who live inside a star need grills?"

Isn't that what the healing serum is? Does a stimulant heal Stamina instead?

"Adrius, is it? Well, welcome aboard. If you're willing to pitch in, we're welcome to have you."

He looks about the room, really taking stock of it for the first time. "Yes, it is very pristine, other than the engines dying. It is enough to wonder if it was ever crewed at all. We've yet to find any evidence of a crew."

As Lyrr searches the medical bay and Adrius begins looking over the door, he starts singing under his breath as he looks the room.
"I'm with you once more under the stars
And down by the shore an orchestra's playing
And even the palms seem to be swaying
When they begin the beguine"

As Adrius opines that shutting down power might help open the door, he nods. "The engines are back that way. We can likely shut power down there. I'd rather try to find a keycard first, so let's keep that as a backup option. As for any possible salvage, we can reserve judgement on that until we have determined if there is an actual crew onboard."

Heading over to the South Eastern doors, he taps the panel that opens those doors and waits for what they reveal.

Party funds are always a good idea. I agree with that assessment.

Recall that selling gear is almost not worth it in Starfinder, so we should try to utilize whatever we find, whenever possible.

For the current haul, it makes sense to distribute one serum to everyone. Is anyone actually trained in Medicine? If so, they should carry the medkit. Anyone can carry the medpatches, I am glad to do so.

I doubt we would try to use them in combat.

@GM I can't find what a Tier 1 stimulant does.

Keeping the butt of his rifle tucked into his shoulder, but lowered, Hamster eyes the newcomer.

"Play it again, Sam" he says with an odd lisp. Smiling, he introduces himself. "I am Hamster, this is Eschade and Lyrr. That pool of molten rock was attempting to get through the door over there with the card reader on it.

So, we're looking for the key card, since Lyrr couldn't hack the door." and likely didn't look under the spoiler

With the adrenaline ebbing, Hamster begins to feel the headache remaining from the thing's attack. "I don't suppose anyone has a way to perform healing?"

Willing to soldier on, but a 10 minute rest to restore stamina also wouldn't be amiss

Stepping into the room, Hamster quickly scans the room for other creatures then returns his focus to the snake-looking thing in the middle. As it begins to speak, his mouth gapes open, having a hard time comprehending its chosen form of greeting.

Well, I guess it speaks Common, at least.

Still unsure of how to react, he is relieved when Eschade takes the initiative with a bold wish. Didn't even need to hold the monkey's paw... "...ain't that a kick in the head."

"Clear." he says, seeing no enemies.

Pointing the weapon at the floor, he walks toward the eastern door. Hearing the banging, he turns a wry grin to Eschade. "Sounds like someone survived. Probably trying to fix the engines now. Perhaps we can lend a hand once we find them.

I hope they speak a language we understand...."
