Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Ulrik stands up holding his sword ready."Agreed. But should we find a safer place to rest up first?"

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

If it is night time then I guess we could move on to investigate...

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

"Sometimes the worst route is the best route. After all taking the road least traveled tends to mean the greatest adventure will be ahead."

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Ulrik mutters something and runs his hand along his blade in a pattern.Casting light on his sword.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Ulrik while continue to ready for a counterattack while shuffling toward some place better for defending River.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Ulrik was in the middle of polishing his blade so when he stands and readies for combat it is in hand partially polished."He is right form up a defensive line."

Ulrik will fall into a defensive formation and will ready an attack should a target present itself as a threat.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Ulrik rolls his eyes at Vi's Jokes. Then moves to the House to enter it and prepare to squat in it. When he opens up the door he looks back and smiles while looking to each of them."Shall we make ourselves at home?"

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

"Then let us set up in the empty house and be ready to defend if we need to. We can operate from the shadows if we must."

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Ulrik motions for them to head to the empty house and whispers."We can show you and talk in there."

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Ulrik grins."Seems best to do that. Maybe we should look for the other house as well."

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

@Rogar: I am the opposite. I have been told I get to into character. Especially when I only have 1 PC to control. This has led to a LOT of my PCs having multiple personalities, Cohort, or a talking Familiar/Animal Companion.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Ulrik waits for a sign that it is safe to entire. He draws his sword just in case it is needed.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Ulrik smiles and whispers back.[/b]"I agree. Shall we get on it then?"[/b]Ulrik then moves to inspect the nearer buildings. Using hand signs to communicate to Vi.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Ulrik whispers to Vi."My first thought won't work. But I got to thinking. In the south there is a Pirate Town who appears to be a very law abiding town. They enforce strict laws. The reason why is this keeps their true business hidden. I am thinking this town seems almost as odd as that one does. You follow me?"

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Ulrik sighs then has a sudden thought."Vironus, I have a plan though you might not like it... You interested in hearing me out?"

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

"We are travelers none here truly knows us."Turning to Vi he looks to him as one might look to someone who completely missed the point."What I am saying is we go our separate ways with it appearing they thank us for our aid. Just in case any see us talking now. Then we investigate separately but stay near enough to each other as to aid each other. Limited Divide & Conquer."

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

"We act as separate groups who just happened to meet on the road. We offered the young lady and her bodyguard a ride as it seemed they had been travelling for quite some time. WE then separate but stay close enough to support each other. It was a tactic my group regularly used when investigating when disguised."Ulrik then Grins at the fact that he seems to have came up with a plan the others hadn't come to.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

"Maybe we could split up but still be together."

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

"Crates can hide many things. Maybe hey hope every outsider thinks as you do allowing them to import anything they wish."

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Looking to River while motioning toward the Port Ulrik grumbles."Well might as well start with the area filled with people. Always seems to be where there are a lot of people."

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

I was waiting for more information about what is going on in the town...

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Thread.

We are currently working on getting started. Basically each player will be controlling their own house. You will get 1PC/10 Influence of your house.

You will basically be able to play multiple characters for your house.

The locations available are The North, The Westerlands, The Riverlands, and The Mountains of the Moon(The Vale).

Basically the southern part of The North and then the northern part of the other 3.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Those are fairly similar. At least on the Merchant Side.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

SIFRP.

It is a unique system. Mostly based on a Pool of d6s. So say I have Fighting 5(Long Blades 2). I would roll 7d6 and keep the highest 5 d6s.

It has 3 Sub-Systems: Intrigue(Role-Playing/Negotiation "Combat"), Combat(Basic Skirmish based Combat), & Warfare(Large Scale Unit Based Skirmishes or Mass Warfare). It is very open. No Classes. Instead you choose Roles. So I might be a Warrior/Leader while you play a Schemer. I would flourish in Combat & Warfare while you would flourish in Intrigue.

It has no magic, or at least no common everyday magic like Pathfinder. Instead Magic is strictly a Narrative based aspect.

It also has detailed rules for building Noble Houses. In the Night's Watch Expansion it introduces rules for Night's Watch Castles/Forts and Wildling Tribes.

It as a whole is surprisingly Abstract yet Realistic.

Also Age is a factor of your PC. Adult isn't the basic default like it is in 3.5/Pathfinder. So you might be an Adolescent Character while mine is Middle Aged and we have different things. I rely on my Abilities while you rely on Fate, via the Destiny Point Feature, to survive.

For good examples of the 5 Roles:

Schemer: Petyr Baelish
Warrior: Robert Baratheon
Leader: Eddard Stark
Rogue: Arya Stark
Expert: Maester Luwin

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

I guess so...

Though it might slow down until I can re-read the first four books again...

P.S.: If you wish I am running a game of the A Song of Ice & Fire RPG: A Game of Thrones Edition from Green Ronin. I can PM any interested a link.

What did I do... I swear I wasn't the one who killed sent the Assassin! I don't even have a way to see a Valyrian Steel Dagger let alone obtain one!

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

"I was suggesting we look into the Mine as a possible first stop. Who said anything about rushing..."

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

"True..."Ulrik smacks his forehead when he makes a realization. And gathers everyone together. Then speaks quietly enough to where only they can hear."What if the Mine part wasn't a Warning but a Trick! What if they want us away from the Mine so as not to obtain the thing that can stop them or learn more of their plan!"

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

What?

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

"Hmm..."Ulrik hops down and yells to Vironus."Vironus! Was it you that mentioned something about a stone mentioning being wary of a friendly face?"

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Finally! I got rid of that frakking PoS Software. Hopefully I will be able to see them soon.

Unfortunately, I have to be AFK til tomorrow. Also I will only be able to access internet for a few minutes to (maybe) 2 Hours each day for about a Week.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

@Rogar: 2+2=Fish! But what I am getting at is: Was he overly friendly (Petyr Baelish). Just diplomatic friendliness (Me to a lot of my Exes). Or merchant friendliness (Most Employee's at your local Wal*Mart). These are surprisingly noticeable. At least/especially in retrospect. Also this is post 666! Woo!

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Yeah but most Bloatware isn't as annoying as Dell Bloatware.

Dell's talks to you. HP's? No. Toshiba's? No. Sony's? Well... the Vaio's does...

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Dell Bloatware.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Oh no it has to do with a pre-installed program on my Laptop. I just have to find said program.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

I am still having problems getting the Paizo Forums to show up right on my Phone or Laptop...

Though I know it is on my end. I just have to figure out why the problem persists. And it is only on Paizo's Forum. No other one.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Ulrik is silent, hanging on to the side of the Wagon with his foot on the lower support beam for the axles, as he thinks on the information gathered so far. He then sighs when he hears Vi's comment. He then chuckles as he hears River's faint comment. He then has a faint realization of a passing comment one of his companions made. He then speaks to Rogar as clearly as possible.

"Master Rogar, you seen the one who lent us this cart didn't you. What was he like? Was he overly friendly. More so than someone normally would be?"

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Well I was planning on doing it in-character and have it changed based on him updating notes and everything.

Heck, I have some Leather Journals that are, still, in use in my First Campaign I am Playing in. (Still Going Strong after 3 Years! Woo!). It is filled with Doodles and Writing. I think I am on Number 7(That is Character 7's Journal) which basically recollects and summarizes the facts from the Previous Journals.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

I was trying to get caught up. Sadly my phone wouldn't display the previous posts correctly. That was the reason for the synopsis. That and mainly for me to make a Google Doc for us to record our findings in...

On another note: I hate travelling unexpectedly.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

"Can someone catch me up on all the details we have learned so far? Maybe we should pick up a journal to record the information we uncover in?"

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

...?

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

I would make an Inquisitor but it has been so long since I played one & then it is only an Inquisitor of Erastil.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Looking to Vi Ulrik sighs and speaks."No one would tell me what happened if they did know. But I say we go to the Forest."

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Really I prefer the ASoI&F RPG, or rather the Chronicle System, over Pathfinder... If only because it has Intrigue(RP Combat) and Warfare(Mass Combat) Systems.

...?

@River: It is unconfirmed as far as I remember... I just got my own personal copies and haven't gotten completely through ADoD.

Seems Tyrion suspects it was Joffrey who was looking to impress his Father.

Also I love Bronn and Oberyn...

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Yes it is pretty normal. Especially in Mysteries. (Looks at Doctor Who & A Song of Ice & Fire.)

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Sighing Ulrik speaks lightly..."Should have been an Inquisitor."Ulrik then hits his head and laughs."Of course! We all need to go plan. Somewhere where Prying Eyes and Ears won't bother us."Ulrik then starts to pace slightly back and forth.

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

Ulrik scratches his head with a sigh he speaks up."Is it just me or does everything seem to lead back to Urtar around here?"

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

I never noticed that...

Male Human(Ulfen) Cleric(Crusader) of Gorum

"It came from Cindi via one of Urtar's Spells. Seems he is our best bet now that the one Scrathae we had is gone."
