Silver Crusade

Once, during a 4th edition game (yes, I was crazy enough to play D&D4ED),the party was attacked by dire boar mounted riders. I killed one rider and proceeded to beat his dire boar into submission. After showing him who's boss, I rode him into combat for the rest of the campaign. Since it became tiresome to care for him in close quarters, the DM and I came to an agreement, and he let me craft sort of a poke-ball statuette for storing my dire boar mount. It was epic and fun, specially because of the way I acquired my dire boar mount..

1 person marked this as a favorite.

As a GM ,I use the following method..

When starting a campaign or introducing a new player, I set the rules on what is allowed, and do not, under any circumstances, back down from it. If you don't want Kitsune in your campaign for any reason, explain the reason and don't back down. As a GM, you have that right.

If you allow him to play a Kitsune with the intention of having a mob later capture him and pick him apart for study or purging him with fire for being a demon, that, in his eyes, is just plain mean.

Also, if you let him have something out of place, soon, other players will want out of place stuff too, and you won't be able to tell them no for reasons of apparent favoritism and the good old "why can he have it and I can't?".

Nip it all in the bud and tell him, sorry, no Kitsune in this setting. Deal with it.

Well, If you play a ranged Inquisitor, you need to see what your targeting, so See Invisibility is a must.. Also, if anything closes into melee with you, you can use Invisibility for an easy escape, especially if your opponent has the step-up feat..

Also, Cure Moderate Wounds is simply a must have spell..

I myself play a melee greatsword and heavy armor Inquisitor, and it's basically the group tank..

My own choices would be Invisibility and Cure Moderate Wounds, both must have spells.

I have a question on the Armored kilt. I am wondering is it possible to combine an armored kilt with a half plate armor and still get the +1AC bonus from it. It seemed to me that this should be possible since the half plate doesn't have a lower section, only torso, gauntlets and shoulder pads, but I wanted to check with you.

Secondly, I was hoping to get an official ruling from you on weather or not the armored kilt can be separately enchanted if added to a suit of armor.

What do you think? What do the Devs think?
