Long long time ago a Cleric of Gorum has met his fate to early in one of my campaigns. With no means to resusrect him, his ulfen comrades burned his body and sent him to Valhalla. Unfortunately he never arrived there. He had straied from the right path one to many times. Pharasma denied him entrance to the elysium and his soul was damned to wander the fires of hell, but not for all eternity. One of his former companions gained unbelievable power by serving baba yaga and has rescued his Soul from the tortures off hell.
Hi. There are so many classes I still want to play in Pathfinder but none fits into this setting.
Currently I have a witch and an oracle so I rather not play those. I m also not so keen on a bard, altough the party could certainly do with one. What I m looking for is a full caster, that can also handle and support others in aquatic encounters, has some decent skills and while I want to prioretise on battlefield control he must also be able to deal some nasty dmg.
What class and archetype would you recommend?
Hi, if you don t know who he is, here s a link: Thibbledorf. My DM has asked me to build a old D&D style Dwarfen Battlerager lvl 6(pls include progression to lvl 8), he leads a squad of lvl 3 armorspike covered dwarfs who focus on grapple.
Now for their leader I am really struggling. First I never played or built a grappler and I m finding it hard to find the right order for grapple feats. Most of them seem to start beeing available at lvl 6.
Hello I m playing a Paladin of Iomedea in Wotr and I ve read all about how Mythic rules ruin the game and how encounters end to quickly etc. I ve talked to the DM that he should slow our progress down etc but I can t change his mind. He s always been very lenient and generous, we all roled pretty high stats and he even allows 3rd party material etc. We are now 6th lvl and 1st Mythic tier and from now on I want to refuse Mythic tiers, just keep my pala at Mythic 1. He s a powerfull character and I m pretty content with what he s got so far, fighting with sword and board and intimidating when I charge foes on my mount. The only thing I am concerned with is the survivability of my axebeak and I might ask the dm to give it one of my mythic tiers, but not more then one. Would it be possibel to complete this adventure path with just one mythic tier? Do you think I ll start regreting my decision later on? How should I explain my decision in game. I was thinking of spinning the story how this deamon cursed land is affecting my commrades, that the hunger for more power is something evil that the deamons have awakened us, that the source of power, the wardstones should not be depleted more. I m gratefull for any other original ideas
Hello In our Rise of the Runelords campaign we just made 9th lvl and our DM is allowing us to retrain feats. Aurelio is a Aasimar Life Oracle of Saranrae with the spirited Guide archetype ( Battle or Fire) for a more diverse and adaptable spell selection. He s the only divine Support class and most off those duties fall on him, altough I was able to convince the Inquisitor to choose prayer and he s now providing this spell. Still the difficulty is to provide the group fast enough with buff spells. The wizzard does cast Haste and the odd bulls strenght while I focus on group buffs and emergency heals ( please don t tell me in combat healing is not needed). We also have a barbarian and warrior who are very dmg focused. My most valued magic item is a Mnemonic vestment that allows me to cast a spell from a scroll once per day as if it was on my spell list. used for scrolls with remove poison or curse etc (essentials I lack as spells) My usual spells are: 1. lvl
2. lvl
3. lvl
4. lvl
I also cast the spirit ability from Battle for +2 +2 So I am trying to get the most out of my action economy and was planning on going the spell perfection route with quick cast but 3 metamagic feats is abit of a steep prerequisite and I m not sure which metamagic feats I would take. Stats:
Feats: 1. Noble Scion +cha to ini
Options I ve been looking at but am not really convinced: -Protective Channel (would free up one round)
Metamagic feats I ve been looking into:
If going the Metamagic route, the goal is to be able to pick up spell perfection at 15th lvl. The focus of this char is to be able to provide the group with the essential buffs as quick as possible, so he then can contribute to the combat with either control or dmg spells, wade into battle with his +3 spear or emergency heal, while quick channels (like a 13th lvl cleric) provide a healthbuffer for the group. what feats or spells am I missing or would you recommend? I am kinda planning up to 15th lvl
Hello I would like some clarification on mounted combat. What I would like to do is able to ignore some opponent who is in the way to charge straight at an enemy who is behind. I play as a paladin, my malus on ride checks is so big I am not taking mounted combat and any of that feat chain.
Is it possible for the mount to do a overrun maneuver on an enemy that is in the way and me attack the opponent who is behind in the same round? I know i ll get hit by an attack of opportunity from the guy who s beeing overrun but if I don t mind that would this work? If not, what are the feats I would need for it?
Hello everyone, I would really apreciate some input and suggestions. We are playing wrath of the righteous and my 4th lvl tiefling Paladin is not panning out how I planned it. I was working on a intimidate build with Ancestral scorn, Cormugon smash, intimidating prowess and finally working my way up to dreadfull carnage.
So I m ditching the whole concept and have to change basicly all feats around.
We are 4th lvl and my current build is: HP 34 Archetype: Holy Guide ( fav. terrain and 1 teamwork feat at 6. instead of Mercys) Stats (rolled):
Feats:
Planned Mythic Champion path: feats:
-Fleet charge
I can t decide which route to go now, should i just wield the longsword in both hands or go sword and board? Noone else carryes a shield in the group so I might get my hands on a pretty good one. Group composition is a 3rdParty PaladinMonk archetype (armorless and fights with his fists. An archery inquisitor who s our main dmg dealer, a bard and a 3rd party Priest.
Thank you so much for your input. I would like the build to hit peak at around lvl 11/12 because that s where most our campaigns end. There is no point discussing the decisions of the DM, he set s the rules and we go with it. He s a pretty lenient god so we do accept when he imposes some restrictions.
Hello
Nanite: and I m also thinking Dervish dance.
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/sorcerer/bloodlines/bloodlines -from-paizo/nanite-bloodline-sorcerer-bloodline I was thinking of going 2 weapon style and use effortless lace to make the offhand scimitar light, not sure this works completely as intended but the DM is pretty leniante, so I think I might get him to allow it. So here we go: Race: I would like something that has +dex, resistance to charms or spells, getting Skill Focus engineering for free would also be nice so I m leaning towards:
Class: We are playing WoTR and we know our main enemies will be Deamons,I would like something that adds dmg to the multiple hits I ll be doing. I ll also need quite alot of feats, so something that supports that would help.
Are there any other class archetypes that grant favourite enemy or a significant boost to dmg vs evil? I m keeping clear of warpriest because I already have one. Any recommendable Ranger Archetypes for this campaign ( Deamonslayer I find pretty bleh)? Weapons: I tought scimitars but if there s a other way to get dex to dmg on finessable weapons I m fine with that too. Would solve the problem of the offhand scimitar. Armor, Light is the way to go because we will be boosting dex significantly. Feats: So far we got: 1. Skill focus Engineering
This order is based on the Deliverer progression, that s why it only comes to live so late :(. Open to any suggestions how to improve it. Thank you very much in advance for any advice or recommendations.
Hello I ve built an interesting character. It s a Lame Aasimar life Oracle, Spirit guide with 18 strenght and charisma, who uses the battle or fire spirit animal. He can tank and melee decently, has a great channel as move action, decent buffs and if he uses the fire spirit he can blast often for some good aoe dmg. Normaly he fought with a spear and battle spirit but I m starting to use mainly shield and mace together with fire spirit. Weaknesses are initiative, dex skill checks, hitpoints and jack of all trades- master of none.
The group consists of a warrior, barbarian, Inquisitor and transmutation wizzard. I m just about to hit lvl 7 and don t know what feat I should take.
selectiv channel
I can channel as move action and would like to get the most out of my standart actions. Swift actions are mostly unused. Is there a feat that would let me get the best out of action economy? Is there a non meta magic feat to get more dmg out of my fireballs and burning hands? Thank you for any suggestions.
Hello So we are soon starting Wrath of the Righteous and I have 0 experience with Mythic tiers i would apreciate any help or suggestions. Please no spoilers. I m making a self obsessed lawfull stupid tiefling Paladin of Iomedea, who was a captive of evil fey during his whole childhood and prepared for a ritual so a demon could use his body in this world. I m leaning towards a standart paladin rather then oath of vengence, I can get extra smites from the mythic path but feats are short on supply for extra lay on hands. I also like aura of justice better then powerfull justice. We rolled stats so they look pretty good after racial mods of a Pitborn Tiefling (Succubus descendant) Str: 19
the high dex is debatable, but I like it. Traits: Fiendish confidence (+1 intimidate and class skill)
I m planning on using an earthbreaker as main weapon, but if a magic falchion or greatsword drops i won t refuse it. I just don t want to focus on 1 weapon and leave my choices open. Feats:
Now Mythic Path champion, i was thinking:
I m abit unsure how the cornugon hurtfull combo will mix with fleet charge, since both are swift actions, but I think I should be able to use both on a regular basis. any input is apreciated. Have I missed something essential or cool?
Hi I m starting a Reign of Winter campaign soon and i ve decided that a npc witch will accompanie the group.
Party consists of a frontline cleric of Gorum, Brawler and probably a investigator/ alchemist. I started with a winter witch but then realized it s not fair that the npc doesn t suffer from the cold conditions so I decided to make her a elf bonded witch, so I don t have to play the familiar too. She will wield a cure light wounds rod that will progress as they level up. Now I can t really decide on Hexes and a patron. Patron, I was really opposed to give the party haste because The Gorum priest will benefit the most of it and I m abit worried that he will outshine the others, but as a cleric he will be able to gain that extra attack anyway as soon as he can cast 3rd lvl spells. Should I provide Haste to the group to keep the others up to speed with him?
Hex:
Stats:
Traits:
racial substituted: dreamspeaker (reason I made her a elf) 1. evil eye, xt Hex. Fortune
how would you build her?
Hello I would really apreciate some input on the feats for my dwarfen warpriest. It s an all dwarf group playing in a homebrew campaign of forgotten realms with pathfinder rules.
The group composition is: Fighter hammer and shield ( my brother)
We roll our stats but magic items and gold will be scarce, +2 items is usually the highest we get.
Dwarf : Warpriest of Vergadain (god of merchants and trickery)
Feats by lvl (bolded are must have) 1. shieldwall teamwork feat +2 ac together with my brother
I ve read quite alot of bad things about cleave. but for my 3/4 bab warpriest it feels a good way to gain multiple attacks early and so increase my dmg output. What feats would you recommend me for level: 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 12.
thank you in advance for your advice |
