Ty quietly slips out and follows Roin she remains silent not sure at this moment what to make of her boss and her new associates. the shadows swirling about her as she departs. is your imagination or did the air get a bit warmer once the shadow mage left the room.

Still not wanting to cause strife among the group she keeps her opinions to herself.

Tye surveys the situation the mix of enemies and allies makes her first choice of magic not a very pratical one.

The half-orc that seemes to be in charge Tye eyes that one up.

and with a near silent work in the tongue of the shadows his own shadow cast onto the floor swirls up around him.

touch attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 -4 if he is in melee

If that does hit the half-orcc is shrowded in darkness (which does nothing to him becuase he has darkvision) and he is entangled in his own shadow (entangled condition)

Hello all, I wanted to let everyone know. I will do my best to keep active, but right now is the time of year things are very difficult for my family.

this is the time My wife lost her brother and her mother. and many may know we are battling alcoholism. this time of year is the most difficult in coping.

we have made some positive step but the journey is so long I wonder if we can ever make it back to a normal life.

any way those of you that pray please keep us in your prayers, I need all the help I can to make it through Thanksgiving.

the next big hurdle will be January with the doldrums of winter with Christmas being over. I only hope we can make it clean and sober through the holidays.

If it matters at all, I have been clean for about 6 months now. my wife has been struggling to make her first 30 days. which will be on the 29th of this month.

Ty simple sat back listening to the plans. she seems rather cold this morning. not even re-introducing herself when introductions were being made.

the ship will most likely want to dock during the nighttime hours. this will probably impair vision of some people. depending on the makeup of the crew this could work to our advantage.

the lady keep trying to see areas she probably shouldn't see. but politely moves on when confronted.

after a bit she seems content but chooses not to purchase the box.

You see an old woman leaving the shop before you enter she looks around nervously then heads off down an ally.

The next day about an hour and a half or so before everyone was expected to arrive to the shop.

I elderly lady enters the shoplooking for some assistance with obtaining a lock box for some valuables.

excuse me please.. she says with that sweet grand-motherly voice, I need some help with finding a good lockbox for some valuables. something easy to use yet a good deterent for thieves.

the woman seems to be overly observant of the store constantly looking as as many details. checking out windows she fiddles with the doorknob to to main entrance seeming to check it's cleanliness.

when the person that assists her is getting items she is looking for she checks out other items avaialable for sale.

EDIT: purpose of this: see if others are interested in what we are doing (or know about what we are doing. basically a spy on the lookout for other spys (counter intelligence). also checking the security of our meeting place.

I do agree, we will need to learn more of our target. and tomorrow will do well to have clear heads and good plans.

as she moves her shadow continues to seem almost alive moving about of its own in defiance to where the shadow should be cast.

As Ty sits at the table, the shadows dance around her almost in defiance of the light that creates them.

concluding her business with the locksmith, Ty receives the message and waits till home to even read the note.

interesting indeed, It would seem my investigations have brought what I seek to me.

as the scroll burns up, she tries to recall who else received the scroll. remembering that the locksmith she was talking to did as well, It would seem to, that my friend has most likely been given the same offer, I can only assume

also to clarify or, I should say wrap up, events in the pre-selection session.

Ty was recruiting individuals to investigate the existence of a new group in underbridge.

however it would seem that events have brought the answers to her instead.

Seems so. Never heard of the movie but it appears Xavi's father is a less heroic version of the guy, yes. Besides, he'd actually make sure clients know that any live cargo would be released at the earliest opportunity, assuming that won't endanger him or his employees.

never heard of it? shame was a good series of films (actually the second one was so-so) well if you like action films that is.

her shadow seems to creep around the feet of Xaviandrin. for but an instant he can almost feel the shadow's chill about him.

A casual glance indicates she is in fact there but there is something about her.

Could the stories be true? Only Once did one of the child slaves of the Creeper escape the fate of the White eyes of the sewers. This woman seems to fit the descriptions you have heard. Still one of the Creepers here?

She watches you possibly with recognition or perhaps another reason. one thing is evident. many a rogue goes to shadows to remain hidden, but with her, the shadows come to her.

The door of the tavern opens and a somewhat familiar face enters.
The grey skinned woman makes her way to her familar seat. Her shadows seem to swirl around her almost as if alive on thier own.

She wears dark hued clothing made of leather offering both protection from weapons as well as blending with the shadows that surrond her. in on hand is what appears to be a polished wooden cane or perhaps a scabbard for a blade.

motioning for the server she address her in the language of shadows requesting a meal.

those familiar with the world of the Underbridge soon realize this woman is one of the few to escape the grasp of "White Eyes" and the creepers.

the Creepers:

While all of Magnimar's Sczarni gangs are notorious to a certain extent, few deserve that notoriety more than the Creepers. Even among the Sczarni, the members of this desperate and vile gang are regarded with distaste and disgust, for few are the depths to which the Creepers won't sink in order to turn a profit. Originally based in an abandoned tenement building that leans dangerously against the Seacleft for support, the Creepers have recently relocated to the Irespan piling known as the Gull, reinforcing the suspicion many already feel toward the Irespan. The chambers within the Gull have served the Creepers well as a place stage their latest escapade—a combination orphanage and workhouse staffed by homeless urchins unfortunate enough to be captured by one of the Creepers' so-called "gutter nappers."

Led by a sallow and vile-smelling man named Haugen, the Creepers augment their income from day-to-day petty crimes with laundry, repair work, cleaning,and other services provided by their ever-changing stable of oppressed and hopeless children. The Creepers keep these underage slaves "loyal" as a result of a campaign of terror spread by Haugen and his thugs—the children are convinced that only the Creepers protect them from the clutches of the so-called "white eyes" who live in the sewers.

In fact, the Creepers maintain periodic alliances with these "white eyes" (actually several small groups of derros that dwell in the tunnels below Underbridge). In return for access to strange toxins and other illegal substances they sell on the black market, the Creepers see to it that "bad children" are sent below every few months in payment.

This woman is one that was sent below as payment, and escaped...

Oh that was how it came up on Hero lab. never actually looked it up in the book. no biggie though I will just eliminate a language...probably Varisian (can get another rank in linguistics later for that)

common and shadowtounge are base for Fetchling, Draconic, Undercommon, and Varisian are from INT bonus, Thassilonian from 1 rank in Linguistics.

Armor should be removed, was a carryover from previous build (wizard/ninja)

may have to change that heirloom item then but is there a way to have what I am trying to describe basically concealed two wakizashi blades. (saveing a feat when she goes ninja) will still need two weapon fighting feat though.

wierd though. I can use this staff here but if i stick a blade inside of it whoah that is like totally different I cant use that. of course if she doesn;t know there are blades inside then it is just a quarterstaff thus no non-proficient penalty, but is someone shows her the blades then poof clumbsy as hell.

DM:

Ty has a Double blade walking stick. but there is a huge amount of uncertainty with this weapon as to proficiency, and type.

description says one thing but the chart is totally different.

when sheathed it acts as a quarterstaff when drawn it is a pair of matched and balanced wakizashi.

the book says you must be proficient with double walking stack only so proficient with wakizashi still means you cannot use it without penalty. even i quarterstaff form I take the penalty. but if I pick up a stick with no bladed inside then poof I can use it?

need some opinions on this?

an unassuming woman clad in black sits in the shadows. as other speak of heroes that they admire, she stands and walks over. leaning a bit on a polished black walking stick, its handle fashioned such to signify House Kaddren.

she speaks in almost a whisper. her breath as cold as the shadows.

Heroes? I have heard legends of a vigilante. he operates outside the law. dwells in the shadows. none know his real name, his features hidden behind a mask. he is clad in black armor, so the stories say. They say his cloak affords protection from most damage. word on the streets is no blade can pierce him.

she grabs a drink from another patron and drinks it. he is only known as...The Bat

After giving her testimony she returns to the empty glass to the patron and walks away as she does so her own shadow engulfs her in darkness and she is gone.
