Here is Chakka's submission.

I'm genuinely interested, good sir! I'm thinking about a gnome summoner who is both fascinated with the Thassilonian culture and how it might tie into Golarion's future!

I'll work on that right now!

interested, anyone have a list of the proposed concepts?

Intersted Here...since all allowed races are allowed...I alwasy wanted to make a Goblin Alchemist

Sczarni

Ok I am completely done with the crunch and almost all the fluff... I still need to choose a faction and tie that in with everything but... Here he is! I would also like to say that while it would be nice to play with that group, I care more about just playing ;p

Background:
Oberst was born due to a love affair between his Elven noble mother and her human lover. His human lineage was evident upon birth, and his family was disgraced upon realizing his mother's unfaithfulness. Due to her shame, his mother soon ended her own life. His mother's Elven husband, reluctantly raised the boy, though he never truly accepted his as a son or as part of the family. Mostly ignored, Oberst ran away at a young age, though he did receive some years of expensive Elven education, where he found an innate talent for songs and magic, and also learned Elven archery and sword fighting.

After wandering on his own, he soon found himself in with a group of traveling performers, and he spent many years on the road, traveling all of Golorion and mastering many different skills of the trade (Trained on many different instruments, juggling, storytelling, singing, poetry, card tricks, dagger throwing, and tarot reading, just to name a few). Oberst soon found he had an innate talent for distancing people from their coin purses, and if he was unable to make enough gold performing in the streets for town folk, his deft hands, clever mind, and some subtle magic could always compensate.

Spending so many years with the traveling caravan, he was often around many different and exotic peoples of all races and beliefs, and as such, Oberst believes strongly in freedom, and accepts all religions, races, and beliefs. He strongly respects other cultures, and feels it is important to learn their songs and stories in their native language.

Early on, Oberst realized his true passion was for stories and tales of myth and lore, and of course being a story teller. He collects stories like others may collect stamps, and he is always adventuring in search of new tales and songs from distant lands and races to learn and spread himself. Being raised partially by Elves, he also has a great affinity for nature, and although he often finds himself in the city, he always feels more at home in the wilds.

I still have to stat out famiilar but got all other chrunch done.

Grand Lodge

Okay I brought my equipment down to the PFS 150. I think I should be ready now.

I'll apply with Lucius here. I have to make some adjustments, but otherwise this character was designed for Shattered Star (though the game I was accepted into died almost immediately).

considering kitsune oracle

are oracles allowed in pfs?

Grand Lodge

HeathenTroll here, presenting Quigly Dandellosen. I decided a sorcerer would better support his desire to create artificial life out of gizmos and such. He's held off on choosing a familiar considering he plans to build one in the future!

All the info is on the profile.

Liberty's Edge

Yes PFS allows oracles...

Just to inform the rest of the applicants as well, Society rules for this apply to character creation only. Once we are in session, leveling up will be able to branch out, so Marik you will then be able to take Harrowed feat at level 3 and be ready for the PrC if you take it.

Glogh Alchenist 1

After saving the life of Loren an Andoran pathfinder, whose disagreement with a chelish slaver, Ankros, turned violent. Loren, about to perish was saved when Glogh Smashed a burning lantern om the slavers back, setting him a blaze, to The chorus of Fire, Fire, Fire, Bwahahaha, Look at him burn, hehe. Loren took Glogh back to the Pathfinder Society Lodge, hoping to train him and give him purpose. Glogh proved adept at alchemy, loving the explosions and fire he could do. His exuberance for burning things has been beneficial on some missions it also caused hardship and even failure on multiple missions, and after setting the lodge in Almas on fire, the Venture Captain had enough and shipped him out to Varisa, to let someone else deal with him. Glogh thinking his study of varisian was paying off, and he was being rewarded, was happy for the new assignment, hoping he can impress his new leader.

Goals:

Glogh Just wants to be liked by his companions, and is hoping he finds companions that are fine watching him burn things. Having seen paladins and such riding about, he hopes to be able to find a mount(preferably a wolf) that he can ride and throw bombs from his back.

Secrets:

A bar in the poorer area of Almas, was burned to the ground recently, IT was dlogh fault, he really meant just to scare the owner some for kicking him out, his aim was a bit off from the alcohol, and the building caught fire. The owner also perished, so he thinks the secret is safe, he regrets doing it especially if it might cost him his job with the pathfinders.
The chelish slaver, Ankros, had rich friends, they brought him back to life, and the slaver is hunting for him to get retribution. He has even issued a bounty of 500 gp for him to be brought back alive.

Known People:

Loren - Andoran Ranger that was saved by Glogh and Who brought him into the pathfinders as reward. Loren checks on Glogh periodically and tries to smooth things out for him when they go bad, but sadly the fire at the lodge was something he couldn't help with.
Orgtah - 1/2 orc Fighter that has done some missions with glogh, all successful, and glogh actually did save him on a few occasions. Orgtah likes Glogh exuberance and is helping him to try and tame his burn everything that is bad tendencies. He is having partial succes.
Ankros - Slaver who has vowed revenge on the goblin
Sandfar - Bounty Hunter, hater of goblins. Seeing the reward for Glogh has mad glogh his number one job.

Mannerisms:

Glogh energy levels never seem to dim, and if there are fires about especially so. Calming him down can take work.
Glogh tries to help his team when he can , it just that sometimes his help is not what is expected and typically involves burning the troubles away.

I respectfully withdraw...I am still sick and not able to properly sit down and backstory.

You don't, i just forgot to move you. Fixed now

Grand Lodge

tks.. :)

Wait, Denlin is fine not being in the team either. Is he not still being considered?

Shadow Lodge

After long deliberation and properly soiling my chances of getting in due to attempts at figuring out the best way to get into the game, I've arrived to the conclusion that I'm just going to submit one of my weirder Sorcerers for this. Despite the fact, of course, that that makes me have to compete with 4 other arcane casters, excluding bard(s)

*shrug*

With that, I present "Oz"

"Oz"

On another note, the lackthereof of shadowy cloaked figures who's faces you can't see in the avatar selection area is very disappointing. There's only like 1, and he's an ArchDaemon.

I have not been able to come up with anything that I am happy with, so I will withdraw and wish you all a good game.

Respectfully, submit Orik Stonefist, Dwarven Shield Fighter. Every group needs a dour dwarf and Orik fits the bill (no other dwarf applicants I see).

He is late of the gladiators of Serpents Run but had a disagreement with the Sczarni "handlers". He has tried out the Pathfinder Society hoping to find a lead to his families lost relics and ultimately to restore their honor.

Fluff:
When the Stonefist Clan was routed by Varisian Giants and their Goblin allies, Orik barely had any whiskers on his youth's face.

Now his red, forked beard is long and the braids down his back are longer. His family is scattered throughout Golarion, their once-noble blood reduced to mundane tasks like mining or stone-craft.

He himself went to Magnimar and fought in the Serpent's Run until he learned the Sczarni con men set up and fixed many of those battles. Approached by them to fix a fight, Orik refused and was cast out of the gladiator group.

Still smarting from that injury and curious to know about the relics taken from his family's delving, he inquired about the Pathfinder Society.

In battle, he is a fierce warrior espeiclly if goblins or giants are present. Out of battle he is dour and taciturn like many of his people.

His overriding ambition is to find the lost relics of the Stonefists and re-unite the Clan. (Problem is he doesn't know what the relics are really, nor where they are. That's what the Pathfinders will help him find out.)

Appearance: Clad in heavy armor and bearing a heavy shield, Orik is difficult to mistake on the battlefield. His war-axe is long and ornately crafted. His hair is red, and long in braids. His beard is also plaited into forks and is red. He has a scar from the goblins that raided his home from the corner of his left eye down to his chin along the jawbone. He fingers that scar often when he thinks.

Manner: Brusque, abrupt, liable to act without thinking, but noble in his beliefs and protector of those he favors especially the softer, gentler ladies.

About Me: DMing 2 ROTRL campaigns on these boards, and playing in 2-3 others. Have years of RL gaming experience. Able to post multiple times daily and able to interact with just about anyone. Not a rules expert, and much prefer "role play" to "roll play"

Please LMK if you need any more info or detail to select me. Thanks!

As we are approaching the eleventh hour for applicants, I think its time to do something fun.

So what I want each of you to do is post in this thread as your character and tell me who your favorite fantasy character is while speaking like your character. Can be from any media, comics, books, movies, what have you, but must be IC. You can say this person is a friend or someone you heard of, try to be creative.

"Fantasy" as in Knights and Wizards or Fantasy as in Any Imaginary? Or in other words, Gandalf or Ironman? Or both?

Grand Lodge

My favorite fantasy character would be relatively hated by my character, so here goes...

"I once heard tell of a terrible kellid barbarian named Conan. They says he's tall as an oak and strong as a bronze golem. He was born in battle, ripped from his mother's womb by the blade of an enemy." Bella pauses as a brief shudder races through her at the thought. "He came south already a red handed warrior at the age of fifteen, and learned the ways of the thief in storied Qadira. From there its said his sandaled feet led him down the path of mercenary, pirate and soldier with equal ease. The katapeshi who told me of him was a hard, dirty man covered with scars, yet from the fear in his eyes you would think he spoke of a god or monster. He said that even now Conan leads a band of terrible dessert raiders, seeking to conquer his own land as king. Conan knows no fear, and cuts down wizard, man or demon alike. I pray to Irori that I should never meet such a brute alone at night." Suppressing another shiver, Bella leans out and says to a passing barmaid, "More wine please!"

"Torag's Teeth, man! Why dae yae wanta know anythin' about my fant'sies, eh? I tell yae MAE fant'sy.., sticking mae wee axe right up yer $%^ fer axin' such stoopid questions. Dat's MAE fant'sy."

"Nae,if'n yae wanta know which dwarf hero o' legen' I 'dmire, well then tha's differ'nt now, ain't it? O' course there's sae many dwarf 'eros, pickin' jus' one'll be damn near 'mpossible. But since yer SUCH a wee sissy baby an' liable to start a'weepin' if'n I don' pick jus' one, then I'll be 'appy to oblige yae."

"But jus' dis once! Don't go gittn' no idea that I'll ben' over back'ards fer yae from nae oon, cuz brudder, tha' ain't 'appenin' un'erstand?"

"Reckon mae choice, an' mind ya there's still a'plenty o' udders, 'uld be Gimli, son o' Gloin, first o' his name. An' friend to the wee Ringbearer o' Legen', tae. That's one stout fella, that is. A mighty strong axe, and a good-lookin' a fella as you'll ever meet tae boot. Not that I gae in for that sorta thing, un'erstand!"

"Nae, it's 'bout time you get on this bizness a'pickin some 'eroes afore I lose my paetience wit yae and come o'er there and box yer wee lil girlie ears."

An' jus' atween yae and mae, I bae thinkin' yae pick that comely las 'at jus' spoke afore mae, if'n yae git mae meanin', eh? Bet she'd roun' out a party like as not, eh? HAR HAR!"

an unassuming woman clad in black sits in the shadows. as other speak of heroes that they admire, she stands and walks over. leaning a bit on a polished black walking stick, its handle fashioned such to signify House Kaddren.

she speaks in almost a whisper. her breath as cold as the shadows.

Heroes? I have heard legends of a vigilante. he operates outside the law. dwells in the shadows. none know his real name, his features hidden behind a mask. he is clad in black armor, so the stories say. They say his cloak affords protection from most damage. word on the streets is no blade can pierce him.

she grabs a drink from another patron and drinks it. he is only known as...The Bat

After giving her testimony she returns to the empty glass to the patron and walks away as she does so her own shadow engulfs her in darkness and she is gone.

I heard tales that come from far off and unknown lands while I traveled with a caravan of street performers... they told of a strange doctor by the name of Alec Holland. Supposedly the man was transformed into a plant creature due to an unfortunate accident... they call him the Swamp Thing. He has allied himself with the plant kingdom, and is their hammer of vengeance...

"Who?" the tinkering gnome chuckles, continuing the conversation despite his clear distraction. The tray propped in front of him is held in place by a strap about his neck, and is host to all manner of scattered metallic parts. While much of the assortment is somewhat hard to identify, the more commonplace items include tiny gears and the innards one might find in a gentleman's pocket watch.

"I really couldn't tell you, honestly. The fellow seemed like a looney to me, raving about saving the human race after dashing out of a...a...uh," he blinks, attempting to come up with a proper description before settling on one that was more mundane than he would have preferred. "An upright packing crate, all painted blue with windows in it. Curious, hrm? Anyway, he said he was a doctor or some such thing."

Continuing his little project, Quigly picks up a screwdriver and winces as he peers through a pair of magnifying spectacles. He continues in a strained voice, "I don't know about all that, the poor fellow looked like he needed a doctor. You know, like the kind that bind you in tight fitting coats with long sleeves?" Grinning, he holds up his partially finished project. It vaguely appears to be the shining brass skeleton of some sort of small animal.

"Before I turned around, he was gone. His box too! All I know is you'd have to be a lunatic or a Varisian to be wearing a scarf in this weather," he comments, wiping sweat and a spot of grease from his brow.

"White cloaked man in Magnimar. Think's he's being careful. Stalked him. Interesting. Not that stealthy." Were the words that ciphered past the eyes of a man in the corner.

They were tiny, shimmering black letters. While they were obvious if you were looking for them, the bustle and hustle of the lodge was too much, and the quizzical conversation went unseen.

"Send Assassins. Can't miss him. Wears white. Broad Daylight. Roofs."

The man simply scoffed and passed his hands over his eyes, frustrated. He had came there to get his info, and all he'd gotten was some rubbishness about a man in a white cloak assassinating people in broad daylight.

In the corner, leaned up against the wall 10 feet away, was a man entirely shrouded in black from head to toe. The only expression notable was that of his ceramic white mask, as it seemed to drape over his entire body, forming that of a jet black amorphous blob. Though, for sure, there were obvious shifts in the cloak to indicate a humanoid of sorts.

Oz is a man of few words. He actually goes through great pains to say his words using the runes he forms through Prestidigitation.

"Bah, a wee man in a wee box wearin' a lil girlie scarf, nae tha' soonds like a 'ero ta yae? S'posing yer a gnome the' mebbe, I reckon. But a plant man, Gods b'good! I jus' whack 'im off at the roots wit this wee axe and then what's this plant 'ero got eh? A whole lot of nothin' that's what! Swam' Thin' mae red arse! HAR!"

"Nae, this Bat on d'other han', tha' sounds like a fella I'd like by mae side in a tussle. No blade hurts 'im, wears armor tae, tell me 'ow he wears his beard an' then we be gettin' somewheres..."

Wha's tha"? He ain't no dwarf! Well %^$# on all o' ya then, tha's what I sae."

Sczarni

Obert's eyes glint and he looks at the dwarf with a smirk on his face. He is keeping busy by contact juggling three glass orbs, which seem to constantly be shifting colors...

Aye, Dwarf... but the world of plants is nothing to scoff at, lest alone one who controls them... all of them. Have the thought ever crossed your mind of all the tiny plant life that exists in your own, stocky, dwarf body? Could you imagine if say... I do not know... that all started growing 10 feet tall?

He then makes a gross squishing sound, chuckles, and then once again concentrates on his juggling tricks.

I've travelled a lot in my profession!

I've been around many dangers, travelled with people of both good and bad nature, and have seen my fair share of betrayal.

Thing is though, when you board a ship with a womanising drunkard as the Captain, all it takes is for a sweet civilised girl to catch him off guard, and then oopsie, did he just hand over his treasure map to me?

The beautiful brunette laughs.

Wellllllllll, the last I saw of that captain, his crew were marooning him on a god forsaken spit of land. Some kind of island apparently, but it was a tiny thing!

Poor guy. I'm sure he'll be okay though.....I think! Hey, don't look at me as if I'm the bad one here!

Rumour has it, he lashed together a pair of sea turtles and drunk off his face, he rode them to Oppara, in pursuit of his ship or something. Hmm, what was his name again? Spa....spear.....spur....SPARROW! Captain Jack Sparrow was his name.

Nice guy. A little on the weird side though.

Ethyria flutters her eyelashes at everyone around her, smiles and sweetly presses her hand to her lips chuckling.

Oz makes it a point to overhear the conversation between Oberst and Orik, and conjures the words in the same way he'd done previously, having the words go across his eyes. Especially in that beard.

"C'd I 'magin'? C'd I'magin'? Reckon I c'd 'magin' some damn big plant growin' out mae glory hole, lad, but c'd yae 'magin' jugglin' them wee balls wit no 'ands, eh? Nae that's more a' the question fer today, iddnit?"

Orik's eyes narrow dangerously, his furry red eyebrows drawing together. Then suddenly he breaks into a big gap tooth grin, guffawing.

"Oh jes' funnin' with ya, lad. Jes' funnin'! Le's 'ave pint and yae can tell mae a story 'bout one o' them dwarf 'eroes I was talkin' 'bout afore. Yae know any stories 'bout the Stonefist Clan, dae yae?"

Whispering aside to Oberst, (well okay, what passes for a whisper among dwarves):"What dae yae ken, 'bout that odd fella there, eh? Wearin' them robes an' that mask? Looks like he's headed to sum masker...maskerad...sum costume party tae mae. Strange fella that, an' that's no lie."

Inclining his head to the brunette, Orik intones:Cain't blame tha' old Cap'n fer fallin' fer th' bonny lasses, nae cain yae? Tha' wee lassie smiles an' I feel mae own purse gettin' a little lighter tae. Leastways, I think tha' wha' tha' feelin' is..."

While not broadcasting any images across the dwarf's face, Oz shoots him a glance with a full head turn, at the least letting him know he'd heard him.

Dark Archive

Nicolae sits quietly at a nearby table, a grid of nine brightly colored cards arranged in rows of three sits upon the tabletop. As he flips the first three cards of the first row face up he begins.
There was a man, a man born of wealth and priviledge, the son of a Queen. This man had it all and yet had nothing until one day his life came crashing down. Lost and alone with nothing but his wits to survive he realizes his life had been empty and hollow. Years pass and he is reunited with his family but he arrives a changed man."
The young fortune teller turns over the next three cards in the second row "With fresh eyes the young man sees the corruption in his homeland and begins a crusade to uplift the downtrodden and right the wrongs inherent in the system. Disguised in the colors of the forest he survived and armed with his weapon of choice, a longbow, he battles the forces of evil and tyranny. Along the way he acquires a squire dressed in red and a lady love in black."
Revealing the final three cards he intones "His future uncertain, his fortune lost he joins a party of like minded heroes who fight for truth and justice not only in their homeland, but throughout the world."
Looking up from his cards Nicolae eyes seem to refocus on the room around him. As the others stare at him he seems lost "Was it something I said?" he asks innocently enough.

Liberty's Edge

"I saw this man once, pale very pale, and very very scary. He talked to Gods, and like priest do, it was like he knew them, and they owed him favors the stories say. Creeeepy, Yah isn't it. 1 person marked this as a favorite.

One time I was deep in my beer and getting a little hazy when I saw this fella from some place funny arguing about a revolution. He fought fer' the Brown side or sumpin, and the fella whoa was arguing made fun of his coat. He was a captain too, kinda like your weird guy!. He nods to the pretty brunette.

But his ship, it was some kinda special thing. Rode through the Void, anywhere in the 'Verse he said. Takes good care of his crew, so they told it. Though he kept getting into fights where he was outnumbered. Must have been from Alkenstar, because he carried a fancy boom stick. Said his name was Mal. Mal Reynolds. I'da bought him a drink myself if I'd had two silvers to rub together. Shame I haven't heard any new tales of him in a decade now.

Denlin looks around amiably at the others. Speaking of, anybody want a drink? I'm a bit thirsty and I'm flush after that last job with Jasto.. I mean, that last guard job!

Liberty's Edge

"Oh Drinks..Drinks Sound good. Anyone have good stories about Heroes who used Fire." as he grins a tooth grin and starts passing a what look likes a flask between his hands.

"Goblin's! Bah! Who cares 'bout wha' goblins say anyha? Gud fer nothin' xcept stainin' my blade."

"Nae, 'bout tha' drink...
