Concerned at the sudden awakening of the world around them, and uncertain of what is to come, the Holy Legion orders the remnants of the Arku Seekers to take drastic measures for the protection of the Stone Giants and all other peoples of Dunia. The Arku Seekers begin researching ancient tomes in attempt to create a device similar in design to the Arku that is capable of capturing and containing the power being generated by Dunia as the Arku once captured and imprisoned a god.

Taken aback, but not surprised, by the Dwarves violent reaction, the Holy Legion itself sends a delegation to the Dwarven leadres to attempt to forstall impending war. The delegation assures the Dwarves that the settlements would be small, minimally armed communities and offers to pay tribute for the right to dwell and mine in the areas bordering Stone Giant lands.

Meanwhile, the Stone Giants begin mustering their armies and drilling in underground warfare.

PS: I don't want to dictate both sides of the negotiations because that would not be fun narratively, and it looks like lucky7 created adn developed them very early in the game. I don't know how much ownership and attachement everyone has to the races they created, but I am looking for volunteers to run the dwarves through this little side plot. I only seems fair to give lucky7 right of first refusal since he created them, but if he is not interested I would still like someone else to run with it.

The stone giants' god has heard their cries and swears to never abandon them again. To fullfill his promise, he once again sends a portion of his power to dwell among them. Imbuing a platoon of 50 surviving battle golems with divine power; he charges this Holy Legion to defend Citadel and serve as high priests among the giants.

The Holy Legion immediately orders the Arku Seekers to arm them with the finest blades available. In reply, the Arku Seekers commision the forging of new Star Steel weapons made specially for the Legion and imbued with the greatest magics possessed by the stone giant smiths. These Legionaire Blades are second only to the Starblade in the annals of stone giant creations.

After decades of silence from their god and the absence of his Avatar, the Stone Giants send an embassy to the Sacred Well commune with the Gaurdian. Being unable to approach the Well and receive guidance from the Gaurdian, they return empty handed.

Angered by being refuffed by their god, the Stone Giants begin mobilizing for war. If their god will not listen to them, they set out to light a blaze that the gods could not ignore. Using their new knowledge in binding magic and mastery of star steel, they use the skills they mastered forging the Gaurdian to create lesser golems who exist only for battle.

With these new Battle Golems in their vangaurd, and armed with star steel weapons, the Stone Giants embark on a war against every nation and people in the world--seeking to light a fire that the gods would notice them again.

Their war marched across the face of the world leaving death, slaughter, and burning cities in their wake. Eventually, the other peoples of the world unite and, despite the Giants' military superiority, drive them back to their mountain citadels.

But the damage is already done, the world has become a smoking husk filled with death and broken cities, that will take years to recover and decades or more to reach it's past glories. Even the giants did not escape this fate, as the war left their poplulation decimated and the final seiges of their homeland left many of their strongholds destroyed and the others badly damaged.

Catastrophe x20 (200) affecting all areas on the main world map, but not the moon spaces as the Stone Giants have not mastered the magic or technology needed to leave the surface.

After sitting in silence for decades, the Guardian of the Stone stirs and speaks his first words. He commands the Arku Seekers to go into the world and gather Star Metal (Command Sect: 2). Meanwhile, he instructs the smiths of the Citadel to make an alloy of iron and Star Metal that is strong, sharp, and imbued with great magics (Advance Civilization-Forge Star Steel: 5).

Under his instruction, they forge for him a mighty sword-the Star Blade (Command Sect: 2) (Create Artifact:7)-a weapon capable of untold destruction when wielded in the Guardian's mighty hand.
