Tranz frownds as he reads further and further into the log, and eventually gathers the whole group round, to read it aloud for everyones benefit. It seems the captain and that Ieana had hidden motives... the distinguished Gnome muses, making notes on the log with his phoenix feather quill.
Male Gnome Fighter (Armor Master)
Feh, that map merely confirms what I had already deduced. Did we recover any documents? Did the captain have a log? Tranz will want to peruse any documentation, and then once we have gathered as many supplies as possible Tanz will suggest finding somewhere to make a makeshift camp.

We're in a hostile land, and theres safety in numbers. You don't necessarily have to help search the wreck, but at least stick together. For a start, I believe I am the most knowledgeable about this island, and a good Gnome to have around if you want to survive to tell the tale... 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 Diplomacy Check With his piece said, Tranz decides to continue towards the ship, regardless of whether they follow him.

Tranz appears to have recalled and noted down everything he could remember about the place, and moves to investigate the shipwreck, hopefully attracting some companions en route. He looks sympathetically at Brugga as he passes, but can think of no easy way to help her. Brugga, perhaps your fox is still near the shipwreck? If you've searched around here, it can't hurt to look there...

Tranz clicks his fingers together in triumph. DM i'm not sure I understood that from the way you phrased it, correct me if I have this wrong. Also, anything from my Knowledge (History) roll? Based on my calculations, we are about two to three days off course from our target destination- this uninhabited island is known as 'Smugglers Shiv' and is a few days north of where we should be. We're about two days away from the colony at Sargava as well... I told that fool of a captain that his navigator wasn't properly trained... Tranz mutters after making his announcement.

Ahem... I do believe we are situated upon the north coats of an island known as 'The Smugglers Shiv'. We have about 11 hours of daylight to work with, so gather your things and lets salvage what we can from the ship and prepare ourselves a suitable campsite. The frail Gnome is clearly far more comfortable with the group doing the physical activities while he supervises, musing and thinking to himself... Also, Knowledge (History) and Knowledge (Local) on 'The Smugglers Shiv', rolls are in that order (Guidance Assisted)- 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Curses... Well you're not going to win in a physical confrontation, use your brain Tranz... Tranz groggily attempts to recall if he has heard anything of these creatures, and in particular he attempts to recall which predator they would most fear the coming of. Assuming he thinks of something, he will use Ghost Sound to emulate the sound of said predator. 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 Knowledge (Nature), skill check penalty for being sickened accounted for. Tranz is positively glowing at the prospect of being able to learn another language, and smiles at Gareth reassuringly. "Knowledge pays no attention to Social status", to quote one of my own works. The amount of 'Gentlemen' like myself who only know how to whore themselves in dirty taverns is astonishing... Now- You clearly have a grasp of Taldane. I am a fluent speaker of Gnome, Sylvan, Draconic, Elven and Dwarven- these being the languages of Gnomes, Forest and Fey-Folk, Dragons and Wizards, Elves and Dwarves respectively. I'd be happy to trade with you, Gareth. Certainly I need something to keep myself sated on this voyage... Tranz grasps Gareth's shoulder firmly, and despite the Gnome's frail form there is a desperate strength in the grip... Let me assure you Gareth, you are doing me more of a favour than I am doing you. Background:
In Absalom station deep in the station there is a goblin population below, where life is sustained through scavenging. In this rough life startoad was born and raised living deep within the bowels of the station. It was living in this tough area where the little goblin learned to survive having to be quick to be able to take food and technology from the larger goblins. He would also sometimes steal the small bits of technology that would come up, his curiosity getting the better of him. As he got older he got more and more bold getting quick enough to steal from any goblin, and as he got bored of this he decided that he wanted to find out where the all the "trinkets" came from. He found a wealth of knowledge and easy pickings from the slow longshanks. One day stealing from a big building where he saw lots of interesting lasers and do dads, he was caught. A man brought him to a boss in charge of a company called astral extractions. Instead of putting him in jail they decided they he could have other uses for them, and then he was sedated. He awoke in an cell with other goblins and longshanks. They were fed and left in the cell, but every now and then they would take a someone "home". But after they left he always heard screaming next door which scared him. Finally one day they came for Startoad. When they took him from the cell, and brought him to a room with a large table. They again put him to sleep on the table saying it would make the ride home faster. As he went to sleep he saw the longshanks bring in large saws. But as he woke up he was back in a cell, alone this time. His head hurt far more than it had ever before and as he touched his head he felt metal. As he gained his bearings he heard a voice from nowhere speak to him, asking hoe it had survived the operation. Startoad was unsure of who it was or what it talked about. But as he listened it spoke to him saying that it was also. Captive a

He is looking to just kind of survive and maybe figure out the piece of tech in his head, as he knows it's special and allows him to do great things. His AI CICA tried to temper the more malevaleant and chaotic impulses of the goblin. Though having been put through the agonizing torture of having his host die and then being placed in a new one has left him a terrible fear of death and being captured.
