Okay, then what do you "earn", since the sheet is free per Hawkmoon's reply?

Okay thanks. Thought something was amiss but didn't want to say anything until I got all the facts (plus thought maybe the online character would have that info - which it obviously didn't)

Since I have yet to play the 2 intro scenarios - what does the mini-chronicle sheet have on it? Just curious.

Okay, that is what I thought. The GM took the Chronicle sheet and was thinking how does one track the rewards/upgrades, etc. I will use the above character tracker for future.

But still begs the question in regards to the online character of why have it if it just records the adventure w/o any regard to taking the reward and/or upgrades? Sure you can see if the character did that adventure but that is it - no way to see if they took the reward at the end or not. Is there a plan to include that info? Since one should be able to take their character to another official place to play but other than the GM looking at the character has played those scenarios but that is.

Thanks!
Thomas

Well I did check around and Haunted Game Cafe in Fort Collins run a PACG on Wednesday nights at 7 pm

Supposedly Digital Dungeon in Greeley will on Fridays but not yet. But when you can't even get a time for it to start (not when..a time like 7 pm), doesn't exactly give you a warm feeling.

Okay, the group has won the scenario. How is one suppose to track the rewards and/or upgrades? I do see the store registered the game with my character online but alas nothing else as in upgrades, etc.

So how it is suppose to work, namely if I want to go to a different store and play with that character? Just seems that the cards upgrades and/or rewards would be online under the character, no? Is this a bug with the current system or what?

Thanks - I know that is a lot of questions but trying to close any possible issues as well.

Thomas

Sadly the above referenced VO replied back and sadly doesn't know of any store in the area doing the card game.
And he only does the rpg game and not the card. And wasn't aware of a VO for the card version either in the area.

Based on looking at digital dungeon facebook page doesn't look good either. Just the usual games of Pokemon, magic, etc. yeah I know, those games get people in but some people don't have tons of money to play CCGs. Will call them tomorrow but doesn't look good based on the events already planned.

So any other suggestions? Definitely seems the card game is good but not going to put money down for a game that wont get played either. Was hoping the organized play would open up more places but that doesn't seem to be the case here in northern colorado.

Okay what is a VO? I am new so don't know all of the lingo.

I have looked around this site and unable to find any group who plays in Colorado. Obviously would prefer one in Northern Colorado and in Greeley. I have asked around here and haven't found one yet.

So hopefully other people will post and maybe we can get one started.

Thanks
Thomas

I don't know if this is the right question for PRD questions, but...

...why aren't Bestiary 4 monsters on the PRD? It's been out for more than six months, and Mythic rules were up in a month or maybe a little more, don't remember exactly, but way less than that.

Dunno where this came from.

As told by the lorekeepers of the Shobhad-neh:

Before Great Ka was raised, when the world was blue with ocean and green with the great forests and the rain-watered grasslands, the Shobhad-neh lifted their heads from the dust of Akiton and learned to look upon the stars. We were the first of all things that thought or spoke, and we were before the gods came to Akiton.

The Shobhad-neh grew numerous and explored the world from pole to pole. In a green valley we found the first of the Dreamers, who knew strange magic, and on the wide dry plains we found the Scaled Ones. Yet we knew nothing of iron, nor of magic to heal or to destroy, nor of the ways of the gods.

Then the Gray Lady of Souls and the Iron Hand and the Golden Lady of the Dawn came to Akiton and went among the peoples, and taught them of fate and of war and of mercy. The Shobhad-neh and the Scaled Ones followed the Iron Hand, the prince of battles; the Dreamers followed the Gray Lady of Souls, the queen of prophecy. And the Golden Lady of the Dawn wept three tears, and turned away to walk the wandering stars; thus Akiton has ever been a world without mercy.

The Iron Hand taught the Shobhad-neh of iron, and swords and shields were forged, for before we had known only the spear and the club. He gave his power to his chosen and made them healers and captains of war, and taught the magic of battle to the wise of the people. The Dreamers learned great magic and made a door across the worlds, and a new people came to Akiton, the Little Folk who have but two arms.

Then the great war of the gods came, when they fought against the Hungry One on the blue wandering star beyond the skies. The Golden Lady of the Dawn took the fires of the sun to herself as a sword, and it was made dim.

The Iron Hand took the greatest warriors of the Shobhad-neh to fight beneath his banner. In wrath and fear at their advance, the Hungry One struck Akiton to the heart, and the blood of the world poured from the wound and became Great Ka. The smoke of Great Ka darkened the skies. Thus did the cold come upon the world...

---

And yeah, Gorum is supposed to have originated in the Age of Darkness according to pathfinderwiki, but he's simply too good a fit for Akiton and the Shobhads...

EDIT: to make the title for Sarenrae consistent (I had "Lady of the Golden Face" in one place)

I just noticed something. Distant Worlds page 54 says:

"The great capital ship that crashed in Numeria, for instance, is obviously beyond the technological capability of any current races—
presumably coming from some other star, dimension, or era."

Which doesn't actually say that it's definitely from outside the solar system, as I first thought. It could still be from Aballon's First Ones, or the pre-undeadification civilization of Eox...

It just occurred to me, that on the 1st level summon monster list, we have:

Dire rat -- AC 14, 5 hp, one attack at +1 for 1d4 damage plus DC11 filth fever.
Dog -- AC 13, 6 hp, one attack at +2 for 1d4+1 damage.
Dolphin -- not much use out of water.
Eagle -- AC 14, 5 hp, 3 attacks at +3 for 1d4 damage, can fly.
Fire beetle -- AC 12, 4 hp, one attack at +1 for 1d4 damage, can fly.
Pony -- AC 11, 13 hp, two attacks at -3 for 1d3 damage.
Poisonous frog -- AC 13, 4 hp, one attack at +3 for 1 damage plus DC10 poison.
Viper -- AC 16, 3 hp, one attack at +5 for 1d2-2 damage plus DC9 poison.

Is it just me or is the eagle the clear choice for most situations?

I suppose the viper might be superior if you wanted to hide it somewhere where it could bite and poison someone, or the pony might be better if you were a halfling wizard needing a steed...

Why don't Golarion deities have avatars? I know there are heralds, but they aren't really the same thing...

Star Voter Season 7

At the top of the voting page:

"Think about the design of each item, how well it follows the magic item format. Then select the one you think is better designed."

Does that really mean we should be voting ONLY on format... not how good of an item it is?

Three only semi-related questions on this topic:

-Is there an in-world difference between a 10th tier mythic character (with Immortality) who has Divine Source, and a demigod? (Or indeed any 3rd+ tier mythic character with Longevity, Divine Source, and maybe Pure Body?) Or are those characters demigods for all practical purposes?

-Do most people in-world (who are not clerics or religious scholars) know the difference between an empyreal lord and a good god, or between a demon lord/horseman/archdevil and an evil god?

-Is Lamashtu a demon lord AND a deity, or a deity who was formerly a demon lord? (Similarly for Rovagug, Sarenrae etc.)

Where on Akiton would be a good place to start off 1st level characters? Maybe someplace with hostile Ysoki?

Also, what PC races make sense for Akiton, beyond humans? (Native PCs, I mean, not Golarion visitors.)

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

For bards, clerics, druids, sorcerers, and wizards, 0-level spells can be cast over and over without using up slots. I don't see that stated for the adept class though - they just have a "spells per day" entry for 0-level spells. Are they really supposed to work differently from all the other spellcasters?

Distant Worlds says "For the few thousand who survived in selfcontained
environments and secure bunkers, it was the beginning of a new era .... Though this mass transformation into lichlike beings permanently capped their population"

This seems to suggest that there are only a couple of thousand bone sages on Eox, even now. ...Which I guess makes some sense if they're all liches (and thus presumably 11th+ level spellcasters) otherwise they'd be utterly overpowering.

Still, the planet must be really empty, and I wonder why they bother with the necropoleis and the enormously huge ("some as large as cities") corpse ships. Just to show off how powerful they are?
