Sorry to hear it man, was fun!

Tony looked at the lizard man.
"I've got the number on these locks, milord. We don't actually need him now." He said with his best sneer.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 to aid another (intimidate) for Argenon.

Tony moves from one shackle to the next, pacing himself taking 10 and unlocking slaves from their chains.

If there are others shackled, he will unlock them also, one at a time.

Tony hustled over to where the girl they were looking for was and examined how she was shackled.
"We're here to rescue you ma'am!" He said with a reassuring grin.
He unrolled his thieves tools and started probing the interior of the padlock.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

If we're out of initiative...
His hands slippery with sweat, Tony's dagger slipped amusingly out of his hands, flip over and over to land on the Lizard man.
"Sorry! Sorry..." He said, leaning down and snatching it up again.
If we're still in initiative I guess he'll have to wait until next round.

Tony slipped a dagger into his hand and stood over the lizard man, but could not bring himself to just stab the guy while he was down.

Nevertheless he readied an action to do a nonlethal strike with the pommel of the dagger IF the lizardman tried to fight back.
nonlethal dagger sneak attack: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 - 4 = 1 for a possible 1d4 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 2 + (5) = 9 nonlethal, bludgeoning and precision damage.

Adding to Argenon's Intimidation, Tony pointed to the lizard man and said "Yeah!" while nodding agreement.
Intimidation Aid Another: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 So add +2 to Argenon's roll.

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 - 2 = 18

Tony nodded at Argenon's plan, but broke into a cold sweat at the formidable task of getting back out with these children.
As a desperate long chance, he looked for possible secret exits, hidden panels, trap doors under rugs, etc. out of here.

Tony tried to keep an eye on everyone here, worrying about threats to Argenon.
"How could such a place exist? Right under the noses of the authorities?" He wondered aloud.

Tony put his hand on Argenon's chest.
"Wait milord!" He said, "As your bodyguard, I'll go first." he said dramatically, not actually knowing if that's how it is done.
Tony followed along behind Runt outside, looked up and down the streetside of the square for threats...

... then waived Argenon forward.

Tony nodded.
"Yes of course milord. And I will be with you instead of running off at the slightest distraction." He reassured Argenon, before starting to daydream of Eithisha...

"Sometimes you overhear things..." Said Tony, remembering dark times.
"...in the University cafeteria. Like slave auctions being held somewhere in the Undercity."

"...A more important question is if anyone knows where exactly the slave auctions are held?"

"Well yes of course!" Started Tony, excited by the prospect of a rescue; but then, remembering his duty, he backed down. "But I am first a bodyguard to Lord Argenon. If he will, I will be there as well."

Tony follows Lord Argennon to the side room, keeping an eye on the impostor pretending to be his bodyguard as well.

"Enough! If both of your intentions are to assist in rescuing this girl, then save your aggression for the Ennin!"

Tony backed up a little.

Back at the Tavern...

"Lord Dallimothan figured he might be targeted and sent me to protect him. Here, a message from your father should you ever question who I am." He pulls a slip of parchment from a belt pouch that has been folded as small as possible. "Now let’s help the Lad get his daughter back, Sir. And deal with this vagabond." He sneers while reaching for the hilt of his sword.

"What?" Shouted Tony at this. "Impossible! I have a legal contract through the Adventurer's Guild through your father! That makes ME your bodyguard! See?" He said, drawing the papers out and showing them to everyone who'll sit still for them.

Tony jumped over the table to Argenon's side.
"Be careful milord, this one followed you in here; thievery in mind no doubt!" Declaimed Tony as he pointed at Fergor. He was very proud of his protective deduction.

Tony entered the tavern and looked around quickly. He marked out where his principle, Argenon, sat drinking. He also spotted where the big guy sat down and was enjoying a meal.
Tony sauntered over to a table against a wall where he could keep a suspicious eye on both of them.
He started to order a meal, realized how little he had, then ordered a pot of tea.

Looking up from the contract papers as he walked through the Square, he noticed a flash of white and silver.
There he is! He thought as he watched his principle walk into a pub called the Ghostly Minstrel; a place he remembered being before with some more adventurous friends.
Hurrying forward to follow Argenon into the pub, he noticed a man following him inside.
Good gods, that man is built like a side of beef... he thought.
Worried about the coincidence, Tony laid a hand on his sword hilt and followed them inside.

Tony started walking along the square looking for his principle.
Hm. What are the Dallimothan house colors? He should be wearing them if he's a noble of any stature...
He stopped and took his hat off, scratching his head and trying to remember his peerage.

"You are to see that Argennon doesn't get into trouble,"

"Got it." Tony said, signing the standard contract.

"And make sure he doesn't spend too much."

"Right." Nodded Tony. Then he looked confused.

The hall master gets out a map. "He is mostly found around Delver's Square. But he can be found in Midtown."

"OK, OK, but when you say 'make sure he doesn't spend too much'...

Tony finds himself escorted out onto the street again.
"Well then..." Muttered Tony. Looking at the map, he started walking up to Delver's Square to look for this 'Argennon Dallimothan' fellow.

The offer is about what he'd expect; but he wasn't in any fiscal shape to turn it down.
Lowering his voice, he glanced around hoping the other adventurers wouldn't overhear, he muttered "I'll take it. When and where?"

Deepening his voice and strutting up to the front desk, Tony leaned against it casually.
"Got any jobs close to the city?" He asked the fat guy, pretending experienced adventurer blase.

Perception: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 - 2 = 5

Tony's cloak billowed behind him as the gusty winds swirled about him on this fine spring day. Just coming up to Delver's Square Tony wasn't paying as much attention as he might have otherwise.
Ah, Eithisha... He thought dreamily of the girl he would try to see a the opera tomorrow.
Seeing a beggar doing tricks with a dog, he reached for his coin pouch but was embarrassed to feel it flat, as usual. The constant state of a poor student.
Offering a tip of his hat and a smile, he swung past, intending to head to the Guards, Mercenaries and Adventurer's hall. Maybe he could pick up an easy job there...

Lizbit might have encountered Tony at the Opera, which he often attends with University friends.

1e Pathfinder for me!

Tony is upbeat, strolling along towards his city.
"I'll be glad to wash this mud off at least. Say, have any of you boys been to Ptolus before? You'll love the opera house there!" He enthused aloud.

"Well then, our course is clear. On to Ptolus!" He called out.

Tony dropped back at the sudden appearance of the creatures, leveling his crossbow at them as he did.
Listening to the creatures request, he arched an eyebrow.
"And, is there a reward if we find it?" He asked persuasively.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

Tony tipped his plumed hat back and grinned as he matched Kali's stride, his crossbow slung jauntily across his shoulder.

As does Tony

"Hey! Wait up!" Tony called out, racing to catch up.

More than ready!

"Aye and with a will!" Said Tony, dreaming of a bath in a nice four star inn while distastefully brushing at the mud spatters encrusting his clothing.
"And then you can aid us in pursuing that Shulikar fellow! At least he has a bounty we can share, unlike todays good deed." He said glumly.

Is this point 'Mission Accomplished' for us as regarding the ratfolk exodus?
I mean do they sail off while we go back to our other missions, or do we climb aboard the rafts and paddle/pole them forward?

Tony, a city boy ill equipped for raft making by skill or equipment, takes his time and does his best with rope and logs.

Tony leaned in.
"Otherwise we'll be waist deep in stinking mud and 'gators." He said helpfully.

At the appearance of the Grippli, Tony unlimbered his crossbow.

"Safe passage eh? And so just how much do you think is a fair trade for such?" Wondered Tony aloud, probing to see if a deal could be made.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Tony popped up and fired at the Croc.
