Alright, new thread! Since the old URL is not in use anymore, and we cannot edit the first post anymore since it is years old, new thread.

The old thread is still around if you are looking for older statements: http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2t5ah?Our-PFS-sessiontracker

So I've build a tracker for your PFS (and SFS) sessions, you can track them and try to match with other players who have played or not played certain content.

The URL is: https://www.pfstracker.net

This URL will not change as long as I run the service. :)

If you are afraid it might go offline, you can transfer your entire played history to an excel file in the profile page.

This is my profile: https://www.pfstracker.net/#/players/25642/

Questions, suggestions, missing content, etc. go here. :) Thanks peeps!

Hey all,

I figured I'd post this here. Over here in the Netherlands we have used a google spreadsheet to track who played what already for a long time now. This worked pretty ok, until PFS bloomed over here and there were an unfeasable amount of columns (one for each player). Also it was pretty hard to find out quickly what you can run a certain group through that they have all not played.

So when at a local VO meet I talked it over and offered my services (the dayjob is webdeveloper/IT security). I started building a tool we could use to track our sessions with a few primary goals in mind:

1: It has to be as fast, if not faster, to use then the google spreadsheet
2: It needs to support small devices like phones
3: It needs to be secure
4: It needs to not-be-a-hassle

With those in mind I got to designing and coding. A friend of mine quickly joined up to help. We now have a working tool that is secure (enough at least), think HTTPS, and also has been in testing for four or so months. We went through alpha, closed beta, open beta and have now released the tool for PFS players in the Netherlands. So far response has been very positive. The system has over 100 players in it at the moment.

Then at one point one of our local players attended Paizocon France. Even though the events that friday were horrible in Paris, they still managed to play some games and curiosity was peeked. What is this tool the silly dutchman has?

Since then some international players have registered as well and started using it. We also got a third programmer who wanted to do something like this, but never found the time. He is going to be working on implementing multi-language support (mainly for french to start with), and we collaborate through github.

Long story short: We got a tool, I would love to know what you all think of it. What is missing, what is not-as-handy and see if anyone wants to use it for their own games. I am cautiously optimistic as to what the server can manage load-wise. :)

Oh and the URL: https://tracker.campaigncodex.com

Our campaign has been in pause mode for a bit. We have had a bit of bad luck with scheduling and a player. We had to drop this player (she wanted to really) and we have gotten a new player who is really happy to be gaming more.

When we 'last left our heroes' they had just won the isle of empty eyes and set sail there.

Now I kind of want this comeback session this friday to be awesome and special so it all feels new and exciting again. While I am properly prepped I was wondering if any of ya'all have some more advice how to make it properly awesome? :)

Nuggets of wisdom anyone?

I have been mailing customer service since july 22nd about this order not arriving. It has been 'lapped' by 3 different Paizo orders.

Can I get a reply? I have been replying to the order confirmation and later on specifically to customer.service@paizo.com

So I run Serpent's Skull. We recently tried adding a alchemist player. While the player isn't doing anything wrong (I think :P), I notice his damage output is just massive compared with the rest (Oracle healer, Paladin, Inquisitor, Monk). This leads to the encounters being hard to balance.

For him a high challenge would instagib the rest of the party. A low challenge would just make him bored.

The main thing is he has all his feats towards bombs and bows. He can shoot from combat, in combat, etc. without penalties. He can then also shoot two bombs with rapid shot (he has some abilities for this and we are 8th level so we figure he can do this). Which is 1D8+3-4 per arrow, 4D6 impact damage and then 8 dmg or so to everyone adjacent, excluding his friends because he can do that as well. :) I don't get saves for half, because shooting attack has a change to miss. Now multiply that damage by two if he hits both (he tends to).

Now I have no problem with strong PCs, but I could really use some advice (advice forum yay) on how to make the alchemist work without having to tell him to 'go cripple yourself' :P

Hey all,

So my players just had a great climax encounter to Racing to Ruin with Issilar the serpentfolk enchanter.

Basically he controlled the fight all the time, he dominated people, suggested a cavalier PC remove his armor and stand in a corner, hold persons, flaming sphere, web, spider climb and he also major image-ed a blade barrier around himself. He only got hit once and then suggested a PC healer heal him.

After all of that he ran out of spells, bowed, and walked away. Basically he has entered 'to be returning' territory. The players really hate him, he is arrogant and they can't wait to get the chance to deal with him again later on.

Which brings me to the question: He is awesome as written, but I would love to get an idea how to best level this enchanter and how to gear him and enhance his style of casting over the next few levels. I do not plan to let him show up again before level 8, so that could up his CR to 10. How would you go about leveling him? I am open to all kinds of awesomeness. :)

This party is high on the roleplay, so anything that could enhance that is also fun.

Greetings,

A 'simple' debate has popped up in two of my groups and I am unsure of the answer so we decided to ask the community. Hopefully you all know.

The question is twofold:
1: A potion of cure light wounds, how much does it heal?
2: A wand of cure light wounds, how much does that heal?

Some players say it is the minimum caster level when it comes to the bonus hp. Thus less for a potion then a wand. Others say that doesn't count at all.

I find some evidence to support either theory.

Does anyone know? And if so is able to give me a source?

Hey there!

I am about to start playing a summoner (with eidolon!) and I know of all the issues and things that make it hard to make a legal one.

Thus I would appreciate some feedback on the following eidolon and a few questions.

EIDOLON (level 1)
Base form: Quadruped

STR: 14 (base 14)
DEX: 14 (base 14)
CON: 13 (base 13)
INT: 7 (base 7)
WIS: 10 (base 10)
CHA: 11 (base 11)

HP: 1d10 + 1 (con) + 1 (favored class ability)
Size: M
Speed: 40ft (20 + legs (10) + legs (10))
AC: 14 (base 10 + 2 dex + 2 natural armor)
Saves: Fort: +3 (+2 base +1 con), Reflex: +4 (+2 base +2 dex), Will: +0
BAB: +1 (base +1)

Special abilities: Darkvision, share spells, link

4 extra class skills: Survival, Swim, Use Magic Device, Acrobatics
Skill ranks: Perception (1), Stealth (1), Survival (1), Swim (1)

Feat: No clue! Suggestions? The extra evolution seems sort of a waste at higher levels

Evolutions:
- Bite (From quadruped)
- Legs (x2) (From quadruped)
- Gore (2 pts)
- Claws (1 pt)

Attacks: 3 (potentially 4, but since I have a 3 max as a level 1 eidolon)
All primary so they all get attack: +3 (+1 BaB, +2 STR) and damage: die + 2 (+2 STR)

Question: Why would anyone take hooves except for flavour. They are secondary attacks and claws cost the same, do the same, work the same, but are primary weapons.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey all,

A friend of mine and I are webdevelopers and we intend to create a cool Pathfinder support tool for online. We are pretty good designers/developers, but we are stuck on a name.

What do we intend to do? For now we want an online tool that will allow you to create a level 1 elf fighter. Why a level 1 elf fighter? Because it is the 'simplest' to model in data. Humans are actually more complicated and fighters are the simplest class to data model.

We are designing now and intend to do some minor developing soon. Call this a homebrew tool. :)

Anyhow we need a name. We just can't seem to think of a nice name to go with the project, and since you immediately need a name to slap on directories and code, we are kind of asking you all if you got any idea.

Just a few 'rules': We want to get a domain with the name, so that can't be taken. Can't be the name of Paizo products, cause you know legal. Finally something cool and not so boring.

We have working title of Pathfinder Support System (PSS), but it is to long and to boring.

Anyone got any ideas?

I have a pretty extensive collection of minis. All handpainted. I don't like the cost of the D&D prepainted ones.

This leads me to a problem. I have medium sized elementals, but something you see a lot in play is at least large (sometimes huge) elementals.

Does anyone know of any specific mini's that can be used for elementals? Non-prepainted.
