Tiro rises early and kneels down next to his bed to pray, grateful to Pharasma for leading him toward real adventure, and protecting him once he got there. Rising, he heads out into town to finally fulfill his master's last wish.

Before he leaves the Rusty Dragon, he stops at the bar and asks where he might find Naffer Vosk.

"I have a message for him, you see. And with the unexpected events of yesterday, I wasn't able to find him to relay it."

A hunt! Now that's something I've never done. I suppose I can abide that man's off-putting demeanor for now.

"I'm not much for bows or crossbows myself, but I do have a bit of experience with a sling - do you think he'll let me use that? I'm not much for horses either..." he says, trailing off.

Tiro accepts the drink excitedly, but drinks it rather slowly, enjoying the moment.

A hunt? That could be exciting. . . . Not something I'm really used to, but I'm my own man now - I can hunt if I so choose!

Tiro sits more comfortably at the table with his new companions, his duty to his former master slipping once again to the back of his mind.

"A hunt sounds very interesting - I've spent most of my time in cities, so it's not something I can say I have much experience in. Do tell us what we should expect."

Tiro's new things are focused on healing - new skill feat to heal in combat (Battle Medic), and my cleric feat allows me to heal more in one shot than before, by adding an action. Not much else, other than what everyone gets!

Tiro had been around battles like this one before - he had seen has master fight a wide variety of unusual creatures. And Tiro usually mended him up afterward before they moved on. But Tiro had never been in a battle like this one - and the feeling was exhilarating. Even more exhilarating was the praise they received after the battle. He wasn't just around heroes - he was a hero, and Tiro liked that very much.

Don't forget that you came here for a reason, Tiro.

He had almost forgotten, but he was a man true to his word, and he wouldn't fail his master in this final task.

"Gentlemen, I'll be glad to join you for a drink, but first I have a job I need to do - one last one for my master."

Tiro feels the creature's putrid breath wash over him as it roars and realizes he's put himself in danger again. Stepping back away from the creature, he prays to Pharasma for protection.

That's the largest undead creature I've ever seen - vile thing. Pharasma, smite this abomination!

His words resemble a prayer, but you can hear the anger in Tiro's voice as he thrusts his holy symbol forward.

Actions 1 & 2: 2 action casting of Heal to damage an undead creature. Fort DC 14 for half.
Action 3: Cast shield. AC now 13.

"Yes, we have people that still need protecting before we find the cause. Plus, I can't allow these abominations running around this town - we must put an end to them."

Tiro falls to his knees, looking up to the sky and thanking Pharasma for her aid in the battle. Distracted only for a moment, he feels Father Zantus's healing wash over him. Seeing that both Conor and Amycus still seem to have some wounds that needed treatment, he calls them over.

"Let me see what I can do to try to patch you two up," he says, and then more quietly: "Thanks for saving me back there - I had forgotten how dangerous adventuring can be, even for a lowly healer like myself."

I believe we said my roll from before could roll over, so that should be a critical success on Treat Wounds. That's CON modifier x 3 healing for both of you!

Tiro grips his holy symbol ever tighter as he calls down the blessing of his goddess, sending another ray of positive energy toward an oncoming zombie.

1st & 2nd Actions: Verbal and somatic casting of Disrupt Undead (on the zombie engaged with Amycus if it's still alive, or the other one if not.
3rd Action: Cast shield

Feeling more and more confident, Tiro continues to call down blessings from Pharasma, somewhat enjoying the feeling of blasting the undead with positive energy.

Tiro stays where he is, hoping for protection from his allies as he continues to blast undead with positive energy. He also calls down Pharasma's protection once more, and a shield of force appears in front of him.

Tiro most up only as far as he needs to to get into range with one of the undead, trying to stay behind some of his allies. He lifts up his holy symbol and sends a blast of positive energy at the nearest undead creature.

Move action, then somatic and verbal casting actions to cast Disrupt Undead. DC 14 Fort save for half damage.

Tito, feeling a bit more himself after the ordeal with the undead, starts to look more closely at some of his wounds.

“If we’re willing to take a few more minutes, I can also try to patch everyone up—I have some experience healing from my time serving my former master. If we don’t want to take the time, I’m going to need to patch myself up more quickly with more magical means.”

Tiro will either treat wounds for the group or use a Heal on himself, based on what the group prefers.

Shaking back into consciousness, Tiro looks up and sees that the threat is ended for now, and a group of allies looking over him.

"Wha..what happened?"

Once he gets a sense of the situation, he'll stand up and begin to help with the healing.

Tiro feels the presence of undead all around him, and despite the holy power flowing through him, he begins to feel the chill of death as well. He tries valiantly to hang on, but the undead horde is too much for him and he collapses to the ground.

Tiro is at 0 HP and Dying 1, so...

So Tiro is still at 0 HP, he is unconscious, and he is Wounded 1. The rules say that he "naturally returns to 1 HP and awakens after sufficient time passes" as decided by the GM.

As the undead swarm around him and his new companions, Tiro closes his eyes and pictures his goddess, imploring her aid. His silent prayers become audible, rebuking the undead around him.

That's 3 positive damage to all undead in a 30-ft. aura around Tiro, and 3 healing for all living creatures in that same aura.

A momentary chill washes over Tiro as he sees the undead - having spent most of his life in Ustalav, the sight of these creatures was not rare, but it certainly meant danger.

Fumbling for the holy symbol around his next, Tiro implores his goddess for aid. Thrusting the holy symbol toward a skeleton moving close to one of the citizens, he prays out loud, calling down Pharasma's wrath. The skeleton glows with energy, while a shield of force appears in the air in front of Tiro.

"Well, I'm not sure. I've never actually met him - I worked for his brother, you see..." Tiro trails off as if he wanted to say more, but thought better of it.

He walks with his new companions, but makes a quick stop off to grab a drink and some food - it had been a while since he'd had food of that quality.

"Sure, I'll join you - though I must admit, I'm not much of a drinker. But perhaps you're right, Vosk may indeed be there. Or someone may know where he is."

Standing in line:
Tiro turns when the man mentions Vosk, eager for any news of the person he's looking for. He shakes both Conor's and Vekan's hands, giving his name as well.

"I don't know much about this place other than it's the home of my former employer's brother - the man I'm looking for, Naffer Vosk. Perhaps the festival will mean that I have an easier time finding him."

Tiro turns back to the men at the head of the line that seem to be in charge.

Those standing in line:
Tiro is focused primarily on finding Naffer Vosk, and even inquires when he reaches the pair of men.

"Excuse me sirs," he says, bowing deeply. "Could you possibly direct me to a gentleman by the name of Vosk? I have urgent news to share with him, which I would prefer to pass to him directly, as it is quite sensitive in nature."

Realizing that he may have come on too strong, he continues.

"Also, this looks like quite the celebration. What's the occasion, if I may ask?"

Backpack slung over his back, holy symbol around his neck, and staff in hand, Tiro Turtleback looked around at his surroundings.

You owe me, Cornelius. You really owe me this time.

Perhaps this was Pharasma's will, but nothing seemed to be going right for Tiro. His dream of joining the Esoteric Order of the Palatine Eye seemed to be slipping through his grasp, and yet here he was, still standing in this damned line.

Freedom suited Tiro, however. As hard as it was to get used to, he thought he liked the change in status. He could choose the inn he stayed in, choose the company he kept, and no one could say anything about it.

Except somehow, Cornelius keeps finding his way into my thoughts, and directing my actions after his death. Better to find his brother soon and get this over with. Hopefully he'll be at this festival, or whatever it is.

Responding on behalf of Patrissa, the older man who spoke before continues.

"As I was saying," he starts, glaring at the hobgoblin, "ten years ago, a few of us—Malgrim, Halgrak, Patrissa, Ebin, Killian, and myself—sat on a jury here and condemned to death a man named Jarbin Mord for slaying his wife and young child. I myself have chilling memories of that time, but am glad we did it—a crime that heinous needed to be punished."

The hobgoblin stares at Cole, looking murderous, but keeps quiet.

"You aren't exactly the person I want to be waking up next to either, Malgrim," the man says drolly, but calmly. "And certainly not here."

You recognize the name—Malgrim. The hobgoblin must be Malgrim Hurkes, an infamous bloodthirsty killer who runs a gang called the Grindle Street Shades. He is a fearsome cutthroat with a reputation for garroting—with his spiked chain—any who cross him. He is not to be trifled with.
