Female Half-elf Warlock 3

I'm back and ready for fun.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

I'm working out of town next week and will not be able to get on the internet as far as I know. See you the first week of Aug.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Tira looks around, trying to watch some of the smaller animals to see what they are eating. She watching to see if she can discern the edibal plants in the region.
Insight: 1d20+7=16

Also, as time permits. She will copy Amelio's spell book and ritual book. So that she can learn while copying and be able to give him his book back when we rescue him. She doesn't realize he's not coming back

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"Well defenses are set up pretty well. I think it's time we resupply some provisions. We should go hunting and gathering. We also need to scout around see who else is near here. We need to find some alliance if possible. We are too few."

Logos, I was learning Arcana from Twitch, so that I could take Arcane Initiate. I was going to copy his rituals to learn from. What is the possibility that I had done that before he was whisked away.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"We got some bad news guys. The Eladrin are our enemies. They tried to take Cele away from us. Twitch went running to help her. I knocked down the ones carrying Cele away. Twitch got there about the same time. They took Twitch with them for some reason. Those f#@%ing bastards!!! We have to get Twitch back from them, if he's alive."

"This wall may hamper us in our travel, but it's a godsend of defense. Our main week area is overhead. We can't forget the lizards, they went through the ground really damn easy too. I'll help with making the crane system if possible. Or could we make the hole through the wall big enough for the carts. although that would be harder to defend."

"Those damn Eledrin. They are not like the Fey I've met before. We are in danger. Let us prepare for the worst."

Tira being a Warlock with the Fey Pact, respect Eledrin greatly. But right now she is second guessing her pact. She feels betrayed, but somewhat relieved that her powers are still working and work against the Eladrin. She feels sorrow for Cele loss of family in the Fey world.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"Agreed, lets go and quickly. We are definetly not safe out here."

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Farewell Twitch. See you in the funny papers.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Seeing her friend in dire need of help, Tira decides it's time bring out the big guns.
1d20+1=6, 1d20+4=10, 3d8+4=14, 1d20+7=24, 1d20+7=27, 1d10+4=5

Inititave = 6

Attack with Curse of the dark dream = 10

Damage for above = 14(probably didn't hit though)(target slides 1 square on a miss (save ends) and 3 sqares on a hit

I use my action point for today (action surge gives +3 to attack)

Attack with Eldritch Rain = 24

2nd attack with Eldritch Rain = 27(natural 20)

damage on first attack = 5(the book reads"Fey Pact: gain a bonus to each attack's damage roll equal to your Intelligence modifier." I read this as adding my Int mod to damage, so that makes it a 7. Am I on the right track.)

Damage on 2nd attack is maxed 14 (or 16 if w/Int mod)

I'm aiming at the Eladrin carrying Cele. Trying to nock them down till we can help her more.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Tira looks around, not quite knowing how to go about looking. She finally decides that many of the people on the ships were artisans and not very likely knowledgeable in the ways of the wild. So she sets her mind to try to think how they would go about surviving. Knowing people of the city the way she does, this is what she percieves as the best approach for her. But this doesn't seem to be working for her.

Streetwise.

Spoiler:

"Well damn it all. I don't know what I'm doing here. Cele your the ranger, you should be telling me how to look."

what's the possibility of taking 10 on these

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Logo's, my Nature skill really sucks (+2), so I would prefer to leave the finding of the survivors to my friends here. I am here to help in the protection in numbers game. Thusly, I am definelty watching Cele as she meets with the Eladrin.

"Cele, you be careful. Twitch and I will be close by and watching incase things get ugly.of course said before we split for the meeting

"Those two timing bastards. I'll show them not to harm my friends!"

I Shadow walk to get close enough for my spells (all have range of 10), and get the concealment benefit. If we are close enough anyway, I will still shadow walk to gain the benefit.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

I agree with Lyan's plan also. Just waiting to see what's going on next

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"Well as much as I think its a bad idea, we may need to split up. A couple stay here and a couple go with Cele. Ok what do you guys think. If it comes to it I'm up for a trip."

Tira hates not being in control of the situation and seems pretty short with everyone. She stomps around ordering the artisans to get the camp ready and stop lollygagging around.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

As we are discussing things, Tira starts tearing up enough leather to make slings for all the artisans.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Tira take's Eldritch Rain at 3rd level.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"If everyone is ok with letting the Eledrin come to us, I am. Like I said I do not want to split up if at all possible. I have a great respect for the Eledrin and will gladly accompany Cele in her parley. Whenever or wherever that is decided. I suggest we stay tonight and get their reply to our request of parley closer to our current position. If we do not hear from them by tomorrow night, I fear we will have to go to them as origanally planned."

"For now, lets get those defenses ready. Horns and Scales, you both are more experienced in matters such as this. You two discuss the best methods of defense, and quickly. After that will one of you stay here and supervise the construction. The other should accompany me with some artisans to procure supplies. If we need the forge going, we need lots of wood to burn."

"Does anyone know how to make stone arrow tips? Maybe some sharpened sticks for spears, till the forge is ready to go. Now let us go and get ready."

Tira is not trying to take charge. When she knows things must get done, her suggestions come out more like orders. Armelio thank you for the training.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

thanks for the info Logos. Definetly more benefits that way.

"Horns, I agree that earlier would be better for meeting, but they know where we are, and we don't know how to instigate an earlier meeting with them. I think we are stuck."

"That being said, its a long travel to get the meeting place. I do not suggest Cele go by herself. However I don't think the artisans should be left unguarded. So what does everyone think? Three to meet the Eledrin and two to stay here? Or is one person well versed in defense and warfare left here good enough to defend this place? I really don't want to split our group, but we may not have a choice."

"As for weapons, I think we can take some shovels(10) and melt them down for the metal. Also, can we make arrow or bolt heads out of some of the stone in this area. I've heard that the ancient's used weapons that were made of stone."

"Looking toward the smith, what supplies do you need to complete your forge?"

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Talking to the woodsman "Don't worry, no one will leave camp alone." Now talking to everyone. "I suggest that any artisans who need to leave camp go with two adventurers. I believe at least one HAS to be a fighter type, and the other preferably better at ranged attacks. I also think that we need to keep adventurers here at all times until the defenses are solid and our artisan companions have enough weaponry to defend themselves while we are all gone. As far as weapons go, crossbows are the simplest to use, and will take less time to make than a ballista. The question is, who here knows how to make them?"
what skill do you use to make weapons?

"Also, we will need to start supplementing our stores. Cele, while you are meeting with your kin, can you make a cursory glance of edible plants. We will need to start hunting also, but let that wait till after Cele's meeting and see how that turns out."

After the evening meeting is over, Tira walks over to Armelia. "Hey Twitch, can I talk to you for a moment? I was thinking about learning about the Arcana some. Would you mind teaching me about it as chance happens?"
I'm thinking about taking the Skill training feat in Arcana. I'm setting up the how I learned stuff so that I can take if I decide to, plus Detect Magic has to be trained and that is one reason I want it. May not take it at next available slot though. Is this ok?

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"I agree defense is the most important. I'm no expert on such things, so I'll defer to your expertise on those matters. However, we are not here to wage war on the natives. Conflict is bound to happen, let that war be waged with words not blades. We have enough to worry about defending against natural predators. Inviting war with intelligent and knowledgable beings is not a good idea."

"I propose the Cele tries to set up a meeting with their elders and all of us, so we can discuss this in an intelligent manner. At best, we could strike an alliance. More probable, an agreement of neutrality. At worst, war. I'm prepared for all, but prefer the former two. They know this place and could help us tremendously, if only to reduce our ignorance and any accidental problems that we might cause."

"But if it comes to war, I'll be ready and more than willing."

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"I agree Scales, the ships are a source of supply and maybe manpower, if any were lucky enough to survive. But we best hurry, they've been alone for several days already. And Abadar knows what's left of the supplies."

"Cele, if you could tell us what happened with your excursion along the way, that would help. Are you're kin friendly or not?"

Tira gathers her things and gets ready for the trip.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"Scales, we seem to have a lot of your distant kin around so far. I hope we don't run into that is closer to your ancestry. That wouldn't end up well at all."

Tira uses two Healing Surges.

"I agree with Twitch, a fighter should have the potion. Scales I OK with you having the javelin also. Looks like we have more meat, unless it is tainted by the poison. Cele, Twitch do either of you think we can use this poison for hunting or combat."

"We have a lot of work if we are going to use this as our camp. I agree with Scales, time to head back up and get started. We should have this place ready before dark, at least somewhat ready."

looking at the creature I try to discern if I've read, encountered, or just heard about them before

Tira: If you can see me when using that action point, you get a +2 to your attack roll and +4 to your damage roll. I'm an inspiring presence, don't you know?

Logos: In that case my attack roll is adjusted to a 20 and damage roll is adjusted to a 15 damage plus W. Curse damage. If I can see Typhus.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Tira's vision is still blury after that last hit and misses the adult again.

However, with bloody determination she decides that it won't get away with it that easy. "You're in trouble now, you little sunavab%~~*!!"

Action point (Action Surge +3 attack on action pt):1d20+7=18, 1d10+4=11, 1d6=3

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

just copied what I said earlier, to clarify this is my second round of attacks. I didn't reroll or anything, but I am adding a second save roll for this rounds attack

Concentrating on the Adult I hit ealier, I attack again

Save;eldritchblast;damage;w.curse damage (1d20=19, 1d20+4=13, 1d10+4=8, 1d6=1)

I am Hit, but I saved. Not sure if my Eldritch blast hit vs Reflex

also as a minor action I put a worlock's curse on the other adult.

I also shadaw walk 3 squares away and gain concealment until next turn.

Save#2:1d20=16

bloodied now

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Perception(? no spot)then initiative

1d20+2=8, 1d20+1=16

I'm guessing I'm surprised here, so all actions are taken as soon as I can

As soon as Tira recover's from her surprise, she will

Move action: Shadow Walk away from combat (gain concealment until next turn)

Minor Action: Warlock's curse

Standard Action: Witchfire (vs reflex) fire damage target takes -4 to attack rolls until the end of your next turn(says +2 then below says 2+ my Int mod, so I'm reading as a -4 to attack rolls?)

1d20+4=14, 2d6+4=12

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"I was considering a couple of us being lowered with a light and weapon or spell readied. It's not going to be safe for the first couple down there at all. But with light in hand, we know they are afraid of that atleast. This is an advantage we must use to our advantage."

"However, Twitch, you have given me another idea. We could throw some of the swarm meat, or something larger prefferebly. I would assume the creatures are hungry and will attack a fresh meal instantly. A heavier meal might keep them in range longer. As we hear them come out we thn drop a light so we can see our targets. We could then rain down spells and arrows upon them. We would have to time it just right and be very quick with our spells. A very difficult plan but much less risky. I am ready for either."

Tira pulls out one of her sunrods and prepares for battle.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"Well, we know they don't like light atleast. But they are very fast, and from lookin' at the rope, I'd say pretty dangerous.?

"We could go down with torches, sunrods, or if Twitch can make more light sticks, them. Do we have enough rope for two to go down at a time? If yes, who should go first? Horns and I?

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Tira peers down the shaft next to Lyan. An Eldritch Blast readied.

Perception: 1d20+2=13

just incase I have to attack
Eldritch Blast (ranged 10)1d20+4=24, 1d10+4=6 [damage of 14 with a Nat 20]

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

We have several artisans: Carpenter, Cartographer, Teamster, 2 Miners, Medic, Smith.

I agree with setting up defences while we explore the cave. I suggest that the cartographer, medic, and teamster find water in the area. The carpenter, miners, and smith look for stuff to barricade the entrance.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"Thanks Twitch Armelio I'm glad somebody knows what they are doing. Plus this seems like a good place to start mining." Looking toward the excited miners. "I don't like those sounds though."

Tira creeps up to the entrance and listens more intently trying to figure out what it is.

Stealth: 1d20+3=12

Nature:1d20+2=19

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Did we get XP for the battle or did I miss it?

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Tira looks around for area's that look good, looking for obvious dangers. "What the hell are we looking for? I don't know what constitutes a "defensible" area anyway."

"HornsTyphus you're the warlord, you know about these things, not me. Scales looks like he knows what he's doing."

Percecption:1d20+2=7

I used perception, even though that's one of my worst scores, cause after reading the description I thought it was the most pertinent

Tira's common sense isn't the best in the world.

Here's a fillable character sheet I found for any who are interested. It's not perfect, but the HP area and Skills area's parts work ok.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"Agreed, as long as water sources are not too far away to make it impossible to resupply in a short period of time. Where ever we make the permanent camp, a wall will probably keep out those small creatures that swarmed us last night. Plus the make it easier to defend all. However that is very hard and time consuming, and getting the lumber could be dangerous. We could use whatever we can salvage off those ships that hit the reefs. We also need to scout that out and who has survived and what is salvagable. Whatever we do, lets decide now and get the plan going. Time is our enemy at the moment."

"Should a small group scout out before we before we pull up all of camp. A smaller group would be faster and can find the easiest route to the area for our wagons."

just thinking outloud to get ideas going

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

I have the books. I was just wandering about the pact stuff because it makes my decisions much simpler and some of the other pacts have some cool stuff too.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

As I gain levels, do I have to take fey Pact powers or can I diversify to other pact powers.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

At the end of the battle, Tira uses a couple of her healing surges to regain HP. As the wounded stranger stagger's in Tira grabs two of the nearest personel near her. "You two, come with me quick!" We run to the stranger. "Take him to Scales[Lyan, Tira ain't good with names, so she uses nicknames], I mean Lyan! He needs a healer quick."

She then watches the direction from which he came. She whispers to herself, "Damn, I hope no one followed you. We've had enough trouble of our own already."

She then heads back to camp. And in the morning meeting [I'm guessing that something we would do, especially after last night].

As for what we do, I say we make a settlement. If there are any survivors, we will not be any good to them if we are dead. We need a defensible ground to ensure our survival.

Tira hears the crashing "Well shit! More trouble, just what we need."

[Tira curses alot, if any of you have a problem with that, let me know. Just trying to find her personality and have fun with it.]

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"Freshly cooked meat anyone, Although it may be a little on the well done side." Tira starts gathering the dead from the swarm and takes them to the supply wagon. "Take these and make a good stew for tomorrow, I'm tired of jerky and fish, especially the fish. At least I shouldn't taste it twice, like everything I ate on the boat."

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Tira sees Lyan fall and knows his pain. "Time to light things up"

Minor Action: Warlock's curse (if I haven't already done that with my statement on the last round)

Move Action: Move to in range of 10 to the swarm

Standard Action: Witchfire (2D6+4 fire dmg; and the target takes a -4 penalty to attack rollls until the end of your next turn)

Witchfire with warlock's curse (1d20+4=24, 2d6+4=14, 1d6=1)

Natural 20, so Max damage(?) would be 17(16 from max dmg and +1 from Warlock's curse) if max dmg is applicable to spells

Also this is assuming I can get close enough this round, If not, I take what move actions I need to get in range for next round.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

After Tira sees the first swarm disperse, she heads to other area's she may be needed.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"See if you little &@$+@?#$ think I look like a good meal now!"

Standard action: Eyebite ( +4vs Will; 1d6+4 psychic damage, and you are invisible to the tartet until the start of your next turn)(I'm using the +5 from Typhus, I think I'm within five sqares, if not adjust my hit roll to a 19) (the second 1d6 is the additional damage I do through Warlock's Curse.)

1d20+9=25, 1d6+4=9, 1d6=6

If I kill any I will use Misty Step and teleport 3 squares as a free action; mainly just to keep them away from me and confused, not to run. If I do not kill an I will still move using my Move action.

Minor Action: if the ones I put the Warlock's curse before are dead, I put another one on another one(group)

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Tira falls under the swarm of drakes, "AHHHHHHHHHH, GET OFF ME YOU BASTARDS!"

(Bloodied now)

Minor Action : Warlock's Curse
Move Action : Get up
2nd Move Action: Shadow Walk (move 3+ squares aay on your turn, gain concealment until the end of your next turn)

[Using substition rules on page 268 of PHB.]

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Tira targets the closest of the swarm to her and Cast Eldritch Blast.
1d20+4=24, 1d10+4=13

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Yah, I'm cool with a new person.

And just for future reference, I don't have access to internet on most weekends. Just thought you ought to know that.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Tira's initiative = 1d20=17

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

Tira concurs with Lyan, and also sends some drops some food for the little when he escapes his bonds shortly.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"I agree with Typus, the little one should be released, but I doubt the he is of little consequence. We can learn much from him, if only we knew how. Celegarm, can you find any tracks around our gifts form our nightly visitors? I also agree with Typhus about heading to the foothills, since that is where the miners are leaning toward."

"We could release the little one and follow him. That will teach us some, but I'm sure he'll try to evade us at first oppurtinity."

"As for what the note means, that is self explanitory. We should not mine, and when we start we should expect trouble. Do we have enough guards for an encampment if we leave to find our somewhat friendly neighbors? Should we send an envoy to the other groups and see if they have similar offerings and tidings?"

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"As for looking for gems, the miners should know the best place. And from all the tales I've heard, the mountains are the place to go. So foot hills or mountains? I suggest we include the miners in this discussion."

"Once we decide on the location of our expeditionary mining, we should then look for a location near to it and water, but most of all, defensible."

Tira then goes around asking any of the artisans if they know the gnomish language. If the creature is of gnomish origin, so might be the language. It's a start on figuring out to communicate with the locals. Also, I will help learning of this creature, and try to befriend it. Is it chained yet, or is it still in its ropes? If we have no chains, I suggest we change the ropes soon. He does have sharp teeth.

Female Half-elf Warlock 3

"I say we skirt the river. We'll keep plenty of water, although the danger increases as all creatures need water. Also this may be the same idea that the previous settlers may have had." I look for any possible trails. [how do I use the rolls page. I couldn't figure out how to get my rolls up like everyone else did. I used it though, damn sucky rolls.]
