Silarsha:
Metal snakes are likely an arcane construct of some sort, immune to any mind affecting effects, and things like poison or paralysis, etc., and hard to destroy. You would need to see these snakes to know more. +4 bonus to Kn. Arcana when these snakes show up.

Talia:
The boy is terrified, and trying to pretend he's not. It seems that the pretense is in a kind of protective instinct for you all, and he seems to truly believe what you've said.

Nothing else seems to stand out to you as you move along to the next hallway.

Timeon walks to the door and opens it. It leads into a short hallway that ends in a door, another plaque on the door, The chosen are revealed by their might. The weak deserve no sympathy. Timeon glances at it and stops, A-a-are you sure this is the way? He glances back at Charmaine for only a moment before shuddering, Of course, of course, l-l-l-let's go." He begins to open the next door.

Just giving you all a chance to stop him or change things up before the other side of the door is actually revealed.

No, no more rolls needed for now, he's been pretty well handled for now. Sorry, yeah. Arcane, Nature or Religion might help. DCs will be higher for now, but when you see them later you could possibly get a bonus.

"Oh, yes. Yes. I see that. Ahem. This way then." Timeon turns to the other door.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Seeing the kid come up with the Sir Reginald, Timeon pulls himself together. "Hey kid. Yeah, I don't know how you all got down here, but we'll get out. Sure."

He looks up slow, taking a deep breath and letting it out. "I don't know where Sir Balin is. I hope he escaped this horrid place. But if there are others we should find them." Timeon glances down at Charmaine, but only for half a moment, like he's afraid of her somehow. "Let's go then," he says standing taller than he had before. His emaciated and dirty form looks strange as he does so, yet there is only a little hesitation you can see. He looks around at all of you and nods, "Not a knight yet little one. But I will be."

1: South Door; 2: West Door: 1d2 ⇒ 1

Timeon steps forward, "I'll get you girls out of here, don't worry. Follow me," he says as he steps to the door you all came through.

XD I did not expect this, but looks like Charmaine's got him ready to play the hero. "Look at these poor lost women in here, looks like I've gotta man up and rescue you all." XD

Timeon stops and thinks for a bit, "Silver and saphire." It seems like he's not going to speak again when he finally shakes his head, "No, the only thing I know of like that is the holy symbol of Mitra Sir Balin wears. That's probably no help at all." He looks down dejected, and his shoulders start to shake, "Do you think we can get out of here? Do you think Mitra will actually save us?"

"T-T-Timeon," he stutters. "D-d-did Mitra send you to save me? I didn't think anyone would come." Growing in confidence, only a little though, Timeon looks up at Tressa, then shakes his head, "No you're just trying to get out. It won't work. Whoever took us, I got away--Oh Mitra, I left Sir Balin to die--but I heard about this place. I don't know where, but there are vicious metal cobras nearby somewhere. There's a shrieker that summons four drowned men when in the light. And a secret door hides the way out." He thinks hard for a moment, "Across from some stairs I think. I don't know it doesn't all make sense, but I heard him talking about it. It's all too much. Escape is impossible."

The door opens and slides to the side, there inside is a thin, dirty, young man huddled in the corner. As the light spills into the tiny room, the young man scrabbles up and to the wall as wide eyes look around. He pushes back as if trying to melt into the wall and croaks in a disused voice "Who are you? What do you want?" He wears a tunic, that, though dirty, prominently displays the symbol of Talingarde and Mitra.
