Check out Cerulean Seas. The print copy might not be for sale on Paizo's site but it is elsewhere. Great book.

omg yes! love it haha.
needs zombie abs. & overpriced torn denim. & an overbearing scent of FIERCE.

For Aberzombie:

Aberzombie billboard

The only one i can find. No way am I about to photoshop one haha

&! oh my lawd, Undead ROnald Reagan?? I think it's time for you two to lipsynch for your lives.

Oh my couatl how could I forget Serenity & Princess Mononoke?!?!?!

There are so many that do & I'll forget many, & some of these are not just medieval fantasy, but here I go:

-THIRTEENTH WARRIOR - Such a classic
-Red Sonja - So bad it's good. & the sets & costumes are out of this world amazing. Pity they're the beautiful frame for a (fun) mess of a film.
-Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust - the weirder, better, sequel. ("To the moon, Charlotte"..)
-Seven Voyages of Sinbad
-Willow
-The first Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring (for some reason the other two don't get me all Pathfinder-y like this one does)
-The Dark Crystal
-Pitch Black
-Brotherhood of the Wolf
-The first Pirates of the Caribbean (the only good one)
-ALIEN
-The Black Cauldron (though the movie strays quite a bit from the wonderful book)

So did you win yet, or is semi translucent Patrick Swayze pulling in some swing votes?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

I always think Aberzombie's avatar should be an abercrombie ad with photoshopped to death zombie models.

So do you get along with Feiya?

Wilbur Smith - The Quest (book 4 in a so-far AMAZING series: River God, Warlock, The Seventh Scroll)
Wildfire - Sarah Micklem (I just finished it!! It is the epic sequel beyond the original first book, Firethorn)
Servant of the Bones - Anne Rice (Fascinating. So well-written)

I've cried in all these books so far haha. Emotional epics that really pull at you.

THe rules for guns have to be there for players that would like to play pirates, or in a later Renaissance world, etc etc. Just because they will be in the book (Ultimate Combat) does not mean you have to allow the players to use them. Common sense.

I'm a huge fan of all things Cyberpunk and keep on considering Eclipse Phase. What's the actual system like to play?

It's insanely fun. It's very different & I recommend you download it for free to check it out at least:

Eclipse Phase was released under a Creative Commons license that makes it legal to download for free. Even if you don't like gaming with e-books, downloading would at least help you preview the game.

Several different things you can do with it too.

Note that Paizo doesn't do the translations; they're all licensed. So if you want Spanish translations, you should find a company that's willing to do the work and poke them about it.

Response button:
Naturally. However, this is a thread asking what I'd like to see be released, & that is my response. It could fill such a niche & really get PF out there

You need to check out:
Eclipse Phase (get the third printing)
ICAR (free download of both the rulebook & the settings guide)
Strands of Fate

Three different systems. Take a look!!

Thank you that helps tons!
I noticed the feeling when I was going through SoF. I like how its done (though I've already homebrewed a few things - like Resources. In my games, it's factored on a character by character basis, having nothing to detract from the points they spend on their actual character.)

But it looks like I'll also be purchasing Dresden. The character sheets look much better also. (Not from a design standpoint, purely, but what is ON them)

Now if only Grey Ghost or.. ANYONE .. was making purple Fudge dice! or pink haha

It is one thing to fireball a tree as a show of power. It's another thing to make a dragon of fire swim around you then fly off and eat it. While anyone can have a special fireball, someone with this feat is SO GOOD at spell art they get a +2 bonus to a social roll.

True, that is a good point. I just factor it all in - it all depends on the situation, characters involved in the scene, etc etc (I'm looking at you Intimidate skill check -unrelated but yeh..)

Personally, in my games, casters pick how their spells look when they get them (unless they are wizards, but then I write on scrolls or books they find what the spells look like). This person's fireball isn't the same as that person's fireball, etc. To use a feat for a wonderful potential for even roleplaying is awful, in my opinion.
BUT to each their own & I wish you the best with getting this in a future book. APG2 or some sort!

I think maybe they've left this wide open for a reason. Contracts can be so different & it is really up to the GM to set whatever DC's, conditions, etc that they want. There don't need to be rules for everything.
That's just my advice. I'm sorry that i can't think of any third party books about contracts.

edit: Ars Magica may have some info about dealings with fiends in the fiendish school of magic, but the rules are quite different.

Thank you both so much for your responses.
Would the Dresden Files system work if the setting was changed from an urban modern day fantasy type, to say a medieval one. Or a bronze age one. etc etc.. I find Strands of Fate (though it will take me a week or so to actually read the entire rulebook) feels like you can use it any setting & I like that. But what you said about the magic system in Dresden - since I haven noticed some differences now after reading many reviews - sounds appealing.

Is it very setting specific?

Has anyone played both Strands of Fate & Dresden Files? It seems like there are a lot of FATE systems out there, & I got the newest one, but something about Dresden looks cool. What does it do differently from Strands of Fate? DO you prefer one or the other, & if so, which one & why?

THanks. Please help me decide whether to just buy them both or stick with SoF!

Personally, I like having the ability to use one system for any setting (not always possible though, which is alright). But Dresden's pretty pages.. & cool magics, as far as I can tell (& the character sheets look pretty amazing) look great. However, I am an outsider to the Dresden world & likely always will be; I just want an awesome system.
Let me know what you think. I have SoF but am curious about its brother, DF. haha

I am looking at this game's site right now & am blown away by how beautiful it looks. I don't know much else about it. Has anyone else bought it or have any advice? Op, what about you?? What did you think??

I don't quite understand the layout of the site, but I do adore Earthdawn. I'm bookmarking it to look more into later. THanks for sharing as i had no idea!!

I would recommend just getting the World of Darkness main book. The Armory is great too, but the Armory Reloaded is not so great.
I bought the Hunter the Vigil book thinking I would use it alot, but haven't touched it since reading it through. I'm not into the organizations & things in my game, but you may, so if you want a lot of premade things to toss into your story, go for it.
Otherwise, stick with WoD. & if you want some supernatural, get the Book of SPirits & the Second Sight books.

This should be the upcoming release schedule for Pathfinder RPG:
1. Ultimate Combat
2. Bestiary 3
3. Advanced Race Guide
4. Mythic Heroes
5. Ultimate Adventure
6. Pathfinder SPANISH translated core book
7. Pathfinder SPANISH translated APG (whether it combines Ultimate Combat & Ultimate Magic with the standard APG, or if they are all separate. If not combined, then place the other two as separate releases)
8. Pathfinder SPANISH translated Bestiary

Ok you are just rolling initiative for combat haha. Oy! Tibibe will show up after the fighting, somehow, I don't know how but she will haha. Later tonight people

Ok now I'm ready to play for a little bit before class. How on earth will my mermaid fit in with you crazy bunch haha. The treekin definitely, giant maybe, drow either way, but flaming skeleton & ghoul? hmmmm haha.
Checking the game thread. Maybe I'll be forced to make her evil~

Hehe I just got back from class & noticed these were up. Yay! I see the game is already really moving so I'll join as soon as I can. Finishing a project fast then I'll finally finish the equipment details on her character sheet & I'll be there for sure! Huzzah!

"Tizzird Ur'doden". Mwa hah love it.
Paizo is back online yay. I'll watch for the threads.

There. She is up at least, fluffy things unfinished. The undines in B2 are strange & I couldn't find the avatar of the head of the merfolk from B1 to show what she looks like. Undine in stats alone. Huzzah! Does this work?

Ok I just spent a good hour typing her on to the computer, formatting, all that business. I clicked Submit, & it brought me back to the main page. I figured it saved it so I posted in here. Clicking the icon, it says there is NO profile. Oh my lawd I'm sorry I am not about to sit here & type her up again haha. Maybe later tonight but totally need some non computer time now. Ugh

Here is the writeup for Zabei's character, Tibibe. Let me know if it makes sense haha. I haven't written up a character's stats online before, so I used Sjurd as a total guideline. Thanks Sjurd haha
I made her with the 20 point buy
