Gonna go ahead and Bump, Sozin still out there?

Thank-you for the ideas on an advanced type of vampire. Lashonna is a really impressive NPC without having to tweek her. My concern is just to be sure that I was right in the fact that she is not done for this module.

With that said the vampiric silver dragon will be joining Kyuss in putting down this band of upstarts who have been working so hard to foil his return!

We are running Dawn of a New Age and about to have the finale with Kyuss. I am thinking that he won't last long, even if I give him just one round to emerge rather than two. He should have some companions, the party has called in every favor they have ever earned and managed to assemble a group of 8 20+level character/npc's.

So, reading up I thought why not have Kyuss wish Lashonna back in. Then I went back and read the entry for the encounter with Lashonna.

Spoiler:
In the second to last paragraph it says, "If she's destroyed, she's forced to retreat to area A11 to recover; She gathers her ring of wishes adn commands the pit fiend Buldumech to accompany her back to the tower to aid in its defense.

She's a vampire, so if they don't ensure she was destroyed she gets away right? Her demise came at the hands of a shapechanged individual in the form of a titan wielding a sunblade. Can't see where that qualify's for beheading, or stake through the heart.

So would you say she's still around?

666!

I made post 666! I can't believe nobody else caught that!

As for deaths we've had a lot. Most grisly scene for our group was Spire of Long Shadows, followed by the encounter with Darl and his gang. The party would have been total TPK had I not pulled some punches on that night.

Yupper, that's where I was going with that one. I don't blame you for not touching the first one, and I deeply thank-you for your quick and most excellent response. It's a big relief on my part, and I am sure many other DM's out there that this source of experience, knowledge and incredible ideas is available.
You guys have done an admirable job at being balanced and proffessional, it only adds to my unwavering support of Paizo and it's integrity as a product line. Keep up the great work!

Just to elaborate further, does that mean that all content for Dungeon and Dragon that is currently available on the site will continue to be available? My concern is not the supplemental materials but the invaluable material on these message boards.
Second do you dare speculate upon the rumors that WOTC will be revamping the OGL and upgrading the 3.5 system and leaving the rest of the industry behind in the dust? What would something like this, in theory, do to the content currently available on the site?
I don't want to sound all conspiracy theorist over here but I have never trusted wizards, much less those who answer to a potato. Business is business and decisions need to be made to be profitable. I understand that, doesn't mean I need to like it, or support it.
Enough said, just hoping someone from the celestial realms of Paizo can answer my thoughts.
Thanks!

I have to agree with Rexx, the fear saves alone are enough to throw any group into disarray. My party is dealing with this portion of EaBK right now, and I don't recall seeing them quite so frantic. Half the party failed their will saves in the first encounter with just one of these creatures, not to mention the other three in the cellar they have yet to challenge. They are now leaning heavily on the party cleric, who up until now has been an NPC. With last weeks semi-disaster they asked to be able to run her as a second character. (I think the players failed thier will saves.)

Reading the spell description for detect evil it says:

1st Round: Presence or absence of evil.
2nd Round: Number of evil auras (creatures,
objects, or spells) in the area and the
power of the most potent evil aura present.
3rd Round: The power and location of
each aura. If an aura is outside your line of
sight, then you discern its direction but
not its exact location.
The spell can penetrate barriers,
but 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common
metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of
wood or dirt blocks it.

So I would say given three rounds, and no armor in the way, a spell caster could detect the worm, giving off at least it's own faint chaotic evil aura. Then walking around a particular target, a living being, it would be identifiable but you would not be able to "locate" the exact location
