Androids gain a +4 racial bonus on all saving throws against mind-affecting effects, paralysis, poison, and stun effects, are not subject to fatigue or exhaustion, and are immune to disease and sleep effects. Androids can never gain morale bonuses, and are immune to fear effects and all emotion-based effects (2 RP.)
Emotionless: Androids have problems processing emotions properly, and thus take a –4 penalty on Sense Motive checks (-1 RP)
Nanite Surge: An android's body is infused with nanites. Once per day as an immediate action, an android can cause her nanites to surge, granting a bonus equal to 3 + the android's character level on any one d20 roll; this ability must be activated before the roll is made. When an android uses this power, her circuitry-tattoos glow with light equivalent to that of a torch in illumination for 1 round (3 RP.)

Background:

Several years ago the wizard Khonnir Baine, during an expedition outside the town of Torch, came upon what appeared to be an unconscious female humanoid body. Believing her to be dead, he approached only to have her awaken as he came near, startling him. He quickly ascertained her nature as glowing tattoo like markings appeared along her body, the tell-tale signs of android circuitry.

Overcome with curiosity, he began to question his discovery. While intelligent, she had little no knowledge of the world having just awakened. Khonnir ended up taking the young android back to his home in Torch to study her further. While she had difficulty dealing with people, she quickly took to other studies as Khonnir presented them. Particularly the study of wizardry, resulting in taking on Xzaram (as she came to call herself) alongside his daughter Val.

Xzaram's relationship with Val was particularly odd. Finding herself suddenly in possession of a younger sister, and one not human, she at first felt resentment by the attention Khonnir gave her. But as time went on and Val became responsible to help Xzaram adapt to being among people, she and Xzaram began to form a bond. Xzaram even began to help out at Khonnir's tavern the Foundry to help improve her people skills.

With the Torch going out and Khonnir's disapparenace, Xzaram has pledged to help find him, Val's place being with the town.

Description:

Xzaram is of fairly average height and build, appearing as a woman of 20. Her hair is red in color with blue and purple strands laced throughout, falling to just past shoulder length. Her eyes are a light blue in color, almost seeming to glow. Val often convinces her to wear dresses in town, though she generally prefers to wear pants finding them to be easier to move about in. She also tends towards darker colors that don't show dirt as well, another aspect Val has attempted to change.

Personality:

Many of those who meet Xzaram often consider her to be rather cold at first, which in some ways is true. She long learned that emotion was beyond her grasp, instead choosing to focus on logical and rational routes. But this is not to say she hasn't learned a bit of compassion and ethics from Khonnir and Val. She simply expresses it in her own fashion, going against the logical route when she feels compassion should demand it.
