"Hmm. I guess that's a fair point. Let's find the others." Thomas searches for Balamar and Maximilian. When he finds them, he will brief them on the situation. "Melina thinks we should try and find out who did it before going to the guards."

Thomas calmly gathers his costume and marches down to Melina's house. "Melina, have you seen these posters? Something is very wrong. Will you come with me to the guard's house? I'd rather not use my status as a Paladin to demonstrate my innocence, as it sets a bad precedent."
Thomas will be extremely apologetic. Poor girl... Did I lead her on? I'll have to write an apology note, she must be so embarrassed.
Thomas smiles - a gentle, but reserved expression. "I'd love to stretch my legs."
Thomas will let her put her hand on his muscular bicep. "I must say, I'm positively... parched. Shall I fetch us something to drink?" Assuming she says yes, Thomas goes to fetch a drink for each of them, taking his time so as to be able to focus on her to Detect Evil. Should he pass any of his teammates naturally, he will greet them and murmur, "I think our hostess may be stricken with me."
"Well, thank you, ma'am."
"That's a lovely costume, my lady. It suits you wonderfully."
"One moment, Melina. Our hostess seems upset." Thomas briefly breaks off from Melina and approaches the Lady, smiling his supermodel smile. "Is everything quite already, my lady?" he asked, softly.
Thomas mingles - gently deflecting various amorous approaches - in his sexy gold dragon costume, which consists of a golden scale-like tight-fitting suit, golden wings (controlled by pectoral movements), and a draconic mask.
Should she seem to want his presence , he will stay near Melina. He seems to be paying more attention to the other people at the party than the foliage - likely out of a desire to respect the privacy of those inside.
If he is asked to attend, Thomas will gladly do so in a gold-dragon costume - a six-foot-five, hunky gold dragon.
Thomas will hang out with anyone who seems lonely - after all, nobody should have to be lonely all the time - in between helping out orphans and the elderly.
"Yes. Here are the terms of the bears' agreement, by the way."
Vindicator thinks for a moment...
.. and comes up with nothing, presumably.
"This seems fair. I will check back periodically to make sure these rules are followed." Vindicator will write down the rules three times, and hand one copy to the bear, one to one of the people, and keep one for himself.
"Actually, knowledge does matter. Knowledge and intent are what create the distinction between severity of crimes such as manslaughter - voluntary and involuntary - and murder - first and second degree."
Vindicator stops, and looks around, confused. "I, uh..."
Vindicator heads to its cage and does his best to keep its attention fixed on him.
Vindicator sheathes his sword, and clangs his gauntlets together. "Here, boy! C'mere, Sparky!" He then run for the cage, but not so quickly as to lose Sparky.
"If you all cast defensive spells on me, I can try and get him to chase me and run into his cage. I can heal myself without provoking him with my magic."
Vindicator sidles (as subtly as a man of his bulk can) up to Balamar. "What's a herpetarium?"
Vindicator strikes the Gorillabear again, flanking with Balamar.

Vindicator squares up with the gorilla. He then swings at it, striking to knock out, not kill. He will fight defensively and position himself between the gorilla and the rest of the party, but be sure to leave a route out for the woman.
We pursue!
Vindicator follows, keep a sharp eye out for any injured people.
As the majority so far have gone west, Vindicator follows Melina to the east.

"Well, we should probably take her out of here. These sewers are not conducive to good hygeine." Thomas picks up the previously-crazy-hopefully-not-any-more-spider-lady and carries her from the sewer.
"Maybe. I don't really know anything about magic, though."
Vindicator puts up his hands reassuringly. "I swear we mean you no harm, and Sandra does not either. We only want what's best for you - you have my word as a paladin."
"I'll be fine, but you can stay if you want."
"Yes, I think that would be a good idea."
Vindicator volunteers to stay.
Thomas hesitates, briefly. "Ok. Do you want one of us to stay here so you know we're not trying to pull a fast one?"
Vindicator puts up his hands in a placating gesture.
"Ma'am, it pains me greatly that you have had bad experiences with people who are supposed to serve Goodness and Justice." "I know an excellent cleric who would never stoop to try to damage your mind. How about this: we'll go see him, and if you don't like him, we'll come back here, and then we can fight if you want to?"
