The land rush is on! Sent south by Brevoy, the heroes have the unenviable task of venturing into the infamous Stolen Lands and annexing the territory, facing down monsters, bandits, and worse. It's hard enough to conquer territory—but does a ragtag band of adventures have what it takes to found and defend a burgeoning kingdom from the terrors of the wild? You are on the trail approaching your last stop before entering the Stolen Lands proper. Introduce yourself by saying what you talk about and give a description of your appearance and personality.
Hello friends, I've decided to run a game of Kingmaker! My build specifications are as follows:
For background I just want one or two paragraphs on your character and what motivated them to travel to the Stolen Lands. I'll leave this recruitment open for a few days until I make a decision. Again, if you have any questions just ask :)
So I had the idea of doing a game where the PCs are mid-level mercenaries that settle down and start a town to house the mercenary company they are building. I was planning to use the downtime system to manage this. I wanted them to actually raise a mercenary company and run the individual units from the mass combat system as squads instead of the Usual armies. Does anybody see a problem with just refluffing a, say, army of halfling scouts as a squad or should I redo statblocks for diminutive armies and use them instead?
You have traveled to the small town of Cidergrove. The letter you received two weeks ago instructed you to meet up on this date in a large building called the Honeypot Inn, famous for putting Cidergrove on the map with it's drinks. Comfortable chairs and tables lay scattered around the room. A middle-aged and kind looking woman cleans tables while a balding man with a short goatee manages the bar. The smell of baked bread and honey wafts out from the kitchen.
So I'm thinking about running a Darklands game in the near future. My group has expressed interest in playing an all dwarf party adventuring underground but aren't interested in kingdom building so Throne of Night is out of the question. Oh and by the way, which setting do you think is better: The 3.5 Underdark or the PF Darklands? Maybe something different? I have picked up Wayfinder #9 for ideas and it has been interesting. Any ideas?
So I'm making Fetchling Summoner(shadow summoner) 3/Bard (archeologist) 2 The concept is a sneaky, manipulative guy who can use illusions or talk his way out of situations with his eidalon as backup just in case and for fighting situations. I don't see my guy as the musical sort so that's why I went archeologist. Bard is for skills and rogue abilities. This is for a home game with the rest of the party being a palidin, a blaster sorceror and a skirmisher fighter.
Please do not post on this thread unless you are a member of the Red Raven Adventuring Guild. This is a game for my personal gaming group so your cooperation is appretiated. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Welcome Ravens!!!!1!!!!one!!!!11!!!!exclamation point!!!!!! This is going to be a game set in the world of our favorite demigod, Leo Valdez! (and that Percy fellow too I guess) We'll be using the Fate Core rueles (which can be downloaded for free here We'll be using a skill cap of Great(+4) try not to pick one of the Big Three as your parent unless it really fits your character concept. Remember that non-demigods are acceptable as well (such as a Sayter) feel free to mention who you are or describe and discuss character concepts. The most important rule however is to have fun!
Just an interest check for a typical fantasy game using the FATE system. This is gonna be a typical fantasy game, I want to take the system out for a spin so it'll be pretty cliche. A dragon has kidnapped the princess and the king has recruited heroes to save her. I might base it in Golorian. For character Creation skill cap at Great +4. Magic is allowed and will use the Lore skill. Hoping for people to post daily but am lenient of irl issues. For the character submission write a short backstory and the one's that get picked will do crossover. Submissions end and will be picked on Jan 4 2014. |
