glance around to see who’s in charge and attack

“You see who’s in charge?” “No. You meat bags all look the same to me.” “Let’s just hit the lady with the knife.” “Whatever. Let’s get to chopping!” Swift action to infuse black blade (+2 for one min)
If there are no objections he’ll cast darkness on his sword. link: “Hey! What do you think your doing?” “It’ll blind anyone without dark vision.” “Obviously. But how are they going to be able to admire me in action?” “Well, hopefully they’ll be dead so...” “The least we can is give them a good show first. Let them get a good look at my splendour.” “They’ll feel your splendour.” “True, but it still feels like we’re cheating them out of part of the experience.” “Who knows, maybe they’ll have darkvision.” “Perish the thought. You may have to do some actual work!”
link:
“That was a lot of words to say his arm was burnt off and he swallowed a note.” “Pretty impressive though.” “If you like that sort of thing.” “I do. I’m going to try that...” ”Um, yeah. There was a faint necromancy aura. Not sure what the spell was though...” link: “Pathetic.” “Hey! It was my first try at sounding all sciencey and stuff.” “Don’t ever do that again.” “You could have tried to help rather than be all judgy.” “I’m a simple sword. I don’t put on airs.” “Fine! I’ll keep it simple from now on.” “Good idea. Simple is definitely your thing.”
link: “Well at least I’m sure I’m not going to throw up.” “Because you’re an inanimate steal object?” “No. Because I’m a sword. My entire purpose is to create corpses.” “And solve puzzles.” “Yes, of course. That too.” “What would even come up? Iron fillings?” “Don’t worry about me, squishy. Try not to embarrass us.”

“Ah, so that answers that question. He was spying. I thought he was just getting his freak on.” “His what?” “You know. Letting his freaky freak fly.” “Hey! He was a senator!” “Senators have needs too. Some senators are needier than others.” “For a sword you seem to have quite a handle on the seedier side of life.” “That’s were all the interesting bits are.” “Let’s just concentrate on the case, shall we?” ”How were you able to determine that is was murder?”

“Finally, the chase is on!” “Hopefully there will be a lot less b&&&&ing and moaning now.” “Undoubtably. Hurry up and introduce yourself.” “What should I say?” “Your name, my name, and ask for the details.” “You don’t have a name. Not that you’ve ever mentioned anyway.” “Details. Get the details!” “Relax. She’ll tell us once everyone’s here.” “Fine. Get the chit chat over with.” ”Thomas of clan Izzet. Yes I’m here to help.”
link: “Finally! Doesn’t he get that I’m bored?” “I’m sure he’s had other things to do..” “The problem is that I haven’t had other things to do. I’m a sword. It’s not like I can take this time to work on my novel.” “You're writing a novel?” “No! I don’t have hands. How could i write a novel? That’s why I’m bored!” “Any time now. Be patient.” “Bored!”

“I don’t think he was counting you. Or anyone else’s sword for that matter.” “What! That’s discrimination!” “Discrimination? How is that discrimination?.” “It discrimination against the otherwise embodied. Antiembodiment!” “I’m sure he’ll be fine once he gets to know you.” “Well I hope this investigation starts soon then.” “Me too. You have no idea.”
telepathic link: "Bored!" "What?" "I'm bored. As in I want something to do." "Like what? Ever since father was sent to the 'old wizard’s home' there isn't much going on" "What if he's in danger? Shouldn't we be protecting him?" "He's not involved in clan business anymore and his son has control of his money. Why would anyone threaten him?" "I don't know. What about his son? Maybe he's in danger." "I'm not sure I care. He's seems like a greedy spoiled brat." "You forgot puerile. Who cares? It would be something to relieve the unrelenting overwhelming boredom." "How about a riddle? ’Alive without breath, As cold as death; Never thirsty, ever drinking, All in mail never clinking.' "Fish" "All right. How about, 'What is black when you buy it, red when you use it and grey when you throw it out?' "Coal. Don't bother asking me riddles. I know every riddle you do. I taught you most of them!" "Sorry, that's all I've got. Just hang on a little longer. We're supposed to be helping with investigating a murder." "When?" "A couple of days. As soon as they call for us I guess. Any time now." "Bored!" "This is going to be a long couple of days."

Did you get my DM re black blade special purpose?
Here is Thomas' alias (originally posted as Speaker for the Dead). A couple questions, what languages are you using? I've got 3 language slots for Thomas and one for the black blade (it gains a bonus language of the GM’s choice). Also each black blade has a mission. (From PFSRD), "The blade typically works toward its wielder’s goals, but not always without argument or backlash. Each black blade has a mission... each mission is singular in purpose (the black blade’s mission is usually up to the GM and the needs of the campaign or the adventure, or a GM can determine the weapon’s purpose randomly using Table: Intelligent Item Purpose). Some black blades are very open about their missions, but most are secretive." Do you want to deal with this or would you prefer me figure something out? I would go with something about solving mysteries but whatever works for the campaign is fine with me. |
