Thetin unstraps his shield from his back and steps to the front of the group. "Might as well start clearing the buildings then. We'll want to be careful to not let anything leave here alive if it's occupied." He then starts moving up to F5 to get ready to break the door there.

Thetin pulls off his full plate before making the climb up the precarious steps. Due to the time to take the plate off he starts climbing after Kelden.

He sees Kelden begin to fall and reaches out to grab him and pull him back onto the steps.

Thetin will reach out and grab Kelden by the neck of his armor, pulling him back onto the steps. "Careful there Kelden. We'll have plenty of time to admire the scenery from up top." After catching Kelden, Thetin will continue climbing using the rope that Carilain provided.

Once safely up top Thetin will take the time to re-armor while the others move up. In case of attack Thetin has a spell ready that will allow him to don his armor in one round.

Thetin helps heal up the wounded in Company B. He makes a point to praise those he is healing for their bravery and valor.

After the wounded were taken care of, Thetin heads to the river and systematically cleans his armor and Radiance. One of the many rules his father had taught him was to always clean up after battle. It would keep demon blood from pitting the metal, but it also keeps a leader from walking around smelling like a Dretch's armpit.

Seeing some of the trepidation coming from the men about the march tomorrow, Thetin goes from company to company to try and keep moral from waning. "Another victory over our enemies, driving their filth off our lands once again. Starting tomorrow however we march into the Abyss. For the first time in decades we are not defending what we have from our foes, but instead taking the fight to them and kicking their teeth in on their lands. Prepare, pray, sharpen your blades and get ready to crush our enemies and reclaim the sword of Valor." diplomacy: 1d20 + 16 + 1d6 ⇒ (10) + 16 + (4) = 30.

Thetin sees the Dretches and sends a runner to the bards to order the knights to dismount and pair up. The horses would only become hindrances while they push into the town on top of the stinking clouds. The pairing up would prevent any individual crusader from being blindsided. He is currently blinded to what company A is doing by the stink clouds unless they signal their arrival.

Thetin was getting ready to raise the survivors moral with a rousing speech, but was stopped cold by Kyra's dancing. Watching for a just a short time he realizes this nothing he could say could match the enthralling and uplifting nature of Kyra's dance. He turned to ask Kelden a question, but upon seeing his face decides to leave him undisturbed to watch. He decides he is no longer needed with the survivors anymore and heads off. "The light shines brightest in the darkest caves." he says with a grin on his face as soon as he's alone. He leaves the fort to find Irabeth and discuss the intel the survivors have about the greater army at Keeper's Canyon.

Thetin wipes the brimorak's gore off of Radiance. The last of his injuries fade within seconds as his mythic power continues to heal him. Seeing the rest of his comrades still up, but injured, Thetin volunteers to scout out the rest of the fort with anyone that wishes to join him. Upon finding the wounded survivors, Thetin wastes no time in tending to them. Waves of positive energy pours out of him, healing the survivors of their wounds.

After healing them, he then identifies the leader. "It is good to see some of you survived this fresh slice of hell. However before anything else, do you know where the sword of valor is being kept?" He asks the man.

Thetin, seeing Red C swinging in, fills himself with mythic power. This allows him swing around unnaturally fast, getting his shield into place Thetin activates sudden block. Red C must reroll his attack and take the lower roll vs AC 28 . Using this burst Thetin then retaliates with Radiance against Red C.

Back to back with Carilain, Thetin attempts to dodge part of the attack but just doesn't have enough room to move out of the way. He takes the full brunt of the attack. However seeing that most of the enemy commander's minions are dead or blind, Thetin sees his opportunity to strike. He quickly gives himself a lay on handsLoH: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6) = 18, then dashes towards the commander. As he rushes in, Radiance in hand, he shouts at the commander.

Celestial:
"I'm going to prove the most useless thing here is you monster."

Hearing Irabeth's Orders, Thetin activates his divine bond with Radiance causing it to burst forth with the light of a torch. He then charges through doors at the head of the group. Upon seeing the leader of the group hiding in the back he points the glowing Radiance at him shouting in Celestial.

Celestial:
"The light of the forge comes for you demon."
He then sets to smite the leader. He charges the line of tieflings alongside Kelden, slamming into R5. Radiance lashes out.

Thetin lays into R5 with all he's got. He strikes as if trying to flatten him into the ground with an overhead blow from Radiance.

"Well we could ride up towards the ford like we don't know they are demons. Then "suddenly" realize they are enemies and race back over the hill. Thetin nods at Irabeth. "I took a few classes during my training but all that is trumped by the experience i can get from you and the army." He listens as Irabeth explains the fast reserve force idea. "I don't quite feel ready to lead a company, however the idea of us being a fast reserve force makes sense. I'll discuss it with the others, but consider our fast reserve force as ready for active duty.

He heads into Vala's Gift with the rest of company B.

Thetin laughs at Kankai's remark. "Am I really so easy to read. I'll talk to Irabeth once she has settled in as commander. Thanks you Kankai." Thetin then moves on to talk to Nurah.

Thetin outlines the ceremony for the fallen to Nurah and asks her to help him set things up and provide the music. Thetin then invites anyone who wishes to attend. A wood pyre is set up with a wooden casket a top it. Family, friends, allies bring objects representing the fallen and place them in the casket. Thetin will have already placed his objects within the casket. While people place objects in the casket, the highest ranking Order member at the ceremony (Thetin) lists off the names of the fallen, their rank and where they perished (in this case either the battle of Kenabres or the fall of the Kite). After each name is read Thetin shouts, "Their fight is now over.", followed by three loud horn blasts. Once all the names are read Thetin gives a short speech about continuing the fight against the abyss diplomacy: 1d20 + 16 + 1d6 ⇒ (9) + 16 + (2) = 27. The pyre is then lit and as it burns the battle march of the Order of the nine moons is played. Cups of ale are handed out to everyone who then give a salute to the fallen and drink in their name. Music (percussion, string, w/e) plays through the whole ceremony. Thetin holds up as best he can through the whole ceremony but during the salute at the end he breaks into tears. The ceremony ends with a flag from the Order of the nines moons being placed upon flames.

Thetins listens as the others nominate Irabeth as the leader of the army and nods. "I can't think of anyone else that would be better at the post than Irabeth." Though I do hope to someday lead forces of my own. He chats for a little longer among his comrades before leaving.

He then searches out Lady Nurah, the army's master bard. "Lady Nurah I was wondering if I could take a moment of your time? I have buried many of my family and friends this last week. I however have not had time to for a proper send off in accordance with the ways of my Order and was planning on performing the send off later tonight. Could I count on you to help me send them off properly?" diplomacy: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 35

Thetin pins his new medals to his shirt. His eyes watered from emotion, a big grin spreading from ear to ear. For years he and his friends had dreamed about becoming knights. While his friends were dead, it was an unexpected relief to of achieved a dream that they had all shared.

After being introduced to everyone goes to talk with Horgus to try and work out any problems between the man and the party. Seeing at how obstinate he was earlier Thetin lets a bit of his new power into his voice. "Hargus, good to see you got through all the fighting in one piece. I had my doubts about you when we met but if the queen vouches for you then I can honestly say it will be good fighting alongside you again." Thetin extends his hand for shaking.1d20 + 16 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 16 + (2) = 24 Trying to increase his attitude towards the party .

After the interaction with Hargus finishes Thetin goes around to each company captain A-C and the army tactician for a better introduction from each and talk to each of them. 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22 After that he goes over and joins the others talking with Anevia and Irabeth.

I'd vote Irabeth as well, however next level Thetin is going to pick up the leadership feat and eventually mythic leadership. I'll probably put some points in profession soldier if he gets some time with the army. So if he can he's going to probably step up to lead the army at some point.

Thetin is stopped short by the display. He'd seen such looks before but it had always been directed at someone else, someone great. He just did not feel like he was such a person. These people expect us to lead them into battle. I can only hope we meet their expectations and try our best. Feeling a good amount of anxiety from the attention, Thetin steps forward and addresses the army before him.

"Comrades the demons have struck and the wardstones that protected us for so long are gone. The demons have taken much from us and leave us in dire straits." Thetin pulls Radiance from his belt and holds it before him. He then activates his divine bond with the warhammer causing it to blaze with light. Without thinking he threads some of his new power into his voice mythic surge. "However the future is still bright. We have struck back against the abyss and reclaimed Radiance. We have reclaimed Kenabres. And soon with your help we shall strike at the demons once more and take back Drezen and reclaim the sword of valor. Get ready for we are now the spear of the gods that will stab into the heart of the worldwound and take back what is ours." 1d20 + 16 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 16 + (3) = 24 Breaking into a nervous sweat under his armor, Thetin finishes his little address with a quick prayer.

Thetin smiles at the queens impish statement. He then eats his meal sharing the basic amount of small talk with everyone. However his mind is on other things. I wonder what my parents would think of me right now. Eating dinner with a queen and leading the first assault into demon held lands after saving Kenabres from certain doom. I just hope whatever happened to them i pray that Torag protects their souls.

Thetin gives a rueful grin to the queen, the idea of striking at the demons wearing away at his fatigue and grief. "Two weeks ago I was the lowest and greenest member of a modest order of crusaders. Now I am a hero of Kenabres being sent by a queen to help lead an army to recapture a demon stronghold in order to regain a powerful lost relic." He stands up and takes a long pull of his drink then sets it back down on the table. "I'm in, but first we need to know a few things." At this point Thetin begins to pace beside his chair. "How many people are you sending with us and when do we need to strike. I'll need to know the name of the man in charge of the army coming with us as well so that we can start discussing supply lines and tactics. And if one of your cartographers can get me some maps of Drezen and the surrounding areas i would greatly appreciate it. Also is there someone in your retinue that i can talk to about the procurement of some magical items." diplomacy: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25
After hearing the answers he then sits back down and starts to mumble to himself while listening to the others. Anyone close by can hear him talking about maps and routes for supply lines.

Thetin bows to the queen before taking his seat at the table. He however does not chime into the conversation at first. Thetin looks exhausted and somewhat dejected, heavy bags framing tired blue eyes. It is no secret that he has been pushing himself the last week to find out the fate of his loved ones, only to be met by an ever increasing pile of bodies. The thought of being the only one from his family to survive the assault on Kenabres weighs heavy on Thetin.

Hearing Kelden talk about their adventure, he realizes he still has plenty of comrades he can count on. By the end of Kelden's tale Thetin begins to feel a little more like himself and ready to add to the conversation.

He fills in the gap where Kelden was temporarily inconvenienced by being dead. He describes the bloody fight with the priestess and her demon underlings and the push to get Kyra and the cancellation rod to the wardstone. He then leaves the conversation open for others to speak.

Thetin will ask Kelden to cast masterwork transformation on his full plate. He would then go out and buy the necessary materials for Kelden to enchant the +1 bonus on it (500gp?). This should only take 8 hours of work right?

If Camris is not okay with the +1 con belt idea then Thetin will probably just save his money unless there is a +2 charisma headband for sale. The limit on magic items that can be purchased is 1000gp right now. Not going to be finding too many +2 enchancement items lying around as those cost 4000gp.

Thetin will look for someone who has a +2 charisma headband to sell. If he finds one he would like to haggle diplomacy: 1d20 + 15 + 1d6 ⇒ (19) + 15 + (6) = 40 to purchase the headband for 3000gp. Would us a surge on the diplomacy

After the battle Thetin started organizing groups of civilians and surviving crusaders to search for survivors and recover the bodies of the dead. This was to prevent the spread of disease after the attack and to recover much needed equipment. Being immune to diseases made him perfect for moving bodies. And being honest with himself, Thetin needed to find out how many of his friends and family had died in the attack. He then led a group of them down into the warrens and caves under the city to recover the bodies of his brethren who were not lucky enough to survive the fall. On the way he stops in to Neathholm to talk with Chief Sull to ask for any he might be able to give recovering the bodies that fell into the underground diplomacy: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22. Thetin also uses this chance to ask Chief Sull how the gathering of the mongrelmen tribes is going and how soon their numbers might be able reinforce the surface.

After personally overseeing the recovery of the bodies of his fellow members from the Order, Thetin returned to the surface to better coordinate the recovery efforts. Half of the Order of the Nine Moons had come to Kenabres for the celebrations including his parents. The other half of the order, he found out later, had been wiped out while on station guarding the Kite. Between the losses from the Kite and the attack on Kenabres, the Order of the Nine Moons had effectively been wiped out. As for his parents, Thetin had been informed that they had been apart of a task force sent to break through the demon lines to spread word of the attack on Kenabres. Unfortunately there was no word on whether or not the task force had survived or not. It made the temporary defeat of the demon forces more of a bitter pill to swallow than a reason to celebrate.

Despite the situation all Thetin needed to do to smile was think of how Kelden literally came back from the dead and rushed in to help him and the others fight off a horde of demons. This memory also showed him just how much stronger he'd need to be to protect the people around him.

Sighing, Thetin finishes polishing Radiance. He sets aside his polishing rag and looks at his reflection in the hammer's surface and gives himself a weak smile. Well if he needed more strength, the mysterious power left behind from the wardstone explosion would certainly help. And with that power seemed to come some sort of connection with Radiance, one that wasn't there before. Whether or not it was a Paladin's bond with his weapon or something else, he could not tell. Thetin took one last look at Radiance, trying to understand that connection, before setting it aside with rest of his newly polished weapons and armor. Thetin moved to the desk in the room to review the papers scattered across its surface. He reviews the reports and maps on body recovery and the Queen and her forces. However the documents with names willing to join the "Hero's" Order keeping him distracted this time. While the Nine Moons might be gone it was this ever growing list that gave him hope that it could be the next thing in his life to come back from the dead. With a new smile on his face Thetin pulls out the fine outfit given to him by the Loumises after saving them. If he's going to meet a queen he should probably wear something other than his armor.
