Once the dragons are gone, Therena flops to the ground and rolls amid the wildflowers, laughing giddily. Waves of channeling emanate from her, healing burns and injuries. She then starts picking flowers by the dozens and braiding little crowns for everybody.

If you can get Therena up, she can use Heal.

Of course, she is invisible, so that might be hard, unless you have see invisibility. I suppose you could see where she slid to in the dust on the floor.

Therena takes half a second to take stock of the whole situation before she flies up to behind Rikar. Rikar feels the faintest tug on his scythe from someone touching it as he swings it back. The scythe glows with a warm holy light, and Rikar feels it begin to pull itself towards the dragon on its own. Bless Equipment to give it bane dragons for three rounds

Then she swaps her quickened searing light for a quickened cure serious, giving Rikar 3d8 + 13 ⇒ (7, 1, 1) + 13 = 22 hp back (her true seeing negates the displacement).

Rikar also hears Therena whisper softly, ”Good luck, my friend. This has been a real joy.”

All of Therena’s pets are fried and disappear. Theren is nearly fried as well.

I’m not sure by your colourful description if the dragon has some sort of invisibility, or if it’s just moving out of our darkvision ranges. I’m assuming either the latter or that her true seeing shows her the dragon.

Therena moves up to just behind the group of stalagmites, trying to take some sort of cover, and fervently praying that this new gold dragon creature is actually on their side. Once there, she casts a quickened haste on everybody, and then crooks her finger at Rikar in that way that tells him he’s about to be launched (except she’s invisible so he can’t see that). She calls out, ”Rikar, here’s a boost” then casts telekinetic charge to put him next to the dragon.

The movement provoked an AoO, but the spell says that he flies just above the surface of the ground, so I’m hoping that negates the thing’s blindsense. Rikar gets a free attack with a +2 bonus, then can make his regular attacks with haste.

Therena’s at 45 hp and figures getting Rikar into the fray and everybody with one more buff is better than healing herself. If this is the end for her, it was a good run. On an interesting side note, this is only the third time Therena has taken damage this campaign since she started.

Therena will be using her giant summoning rod to summon 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 hound archons, each of which generates a magic circle vs evil to help with mind control attacks.

She also uses the rod to summon 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 huge sized dire wolves.

All of these summons get their own air walk.

She also summons a greater air elemental (huge sized).

Would Rikar like enlarge person for himself?

I have 3 resist energy spells prepared, and will be immune/resistant to either fire or acid/cold depending on if going dragon or angel form to start with.

Also have 2 cats grace spells and a bulls strength prepared. If we get a couple of rounds to prep, were gonna be quite the formidable setup.

With just 1 round, it'll be a bit trickier but I think we can manage

I would say prepare something other than resist energy in those slots.

Therena has four freedom of movements prepared, so herself, Telman, Josef, and Latys.

Everybody also has resistance 30 to fire, cold, electricity, and acid, and air walk.

Extended Weapon of awe for Rikar, Josef, and Telman.

Greater heroism for herself, Rikar, Telman, and Joseph.

Darkvision for Rikar, Latys, and Telman.

True seeing on herself.

Improved invisibility on herself and Rikar. She suspects the invisibility will be useless against the dragon and wizard, but it might help against minions.

Protection from energy is nice in that it gives total immunity ...until it runs out, but that would take up a lot of spells, even for Therena. Resist energy gives resistance 30, and she can use the communal varieties to give to everybody and use multiple castings to protect them from the four main energy types.

While the dragon may resort to fire, the other dude will expect us to max out fire protection and be ready with cold magic (so be careful changing to any forms that give cold vulnerability).

Therena’s prepared spells are in her profile.

She has several buffs she can spam. She’ll use communal resist energy four times to give everybody resistance 30 to everything except sonic. She can also give everybody who needs it darkvision.

She gives Latys mage armour as usual, and can use animal growth if Rikar would like.

She also gives everybody air walk. I prepared a bunch because I think their understanding is that they create this portal and immediately engage their foe (not explore another dungeon), so Therena will cast several summoning spells and give all her summons air walk.

She has three freedom of movement spells she can give Rikar plus two others, plus three weapon of awe spells. Blessing of fervor she’ll wait until they’re in there before using. Also, she can start combat off using Bless Equipment to give Rikar’s scythe band (dragons) for two rounds.

She also has 5 greater heroism spells she can use, which will give fear immunity. She can give several people improved invisibility.

Herself, she will be putting on mage armour, mirror image 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 images, spectral hand, freedom of movement, improved invisibility, true seeing, persistent adhesive spittle, greater heroism, longstrider, and spell turning (after any buffs from Misha).

Tell me who wants which buffs so I can mark them off as cast.

Therena is silent as she finishes her spell, and a look of strain and worry comes over her. Visibly, her effort increases, like she’s trying to break through something or remember some long-forgotten bit of trivia. Just at the point when sweat begins to run down her face, her strain vanishes and the look of worry becomes one of pure joy. Beads of sweat become tears as she is wracked with uncontrollable sobs of happiness.

After several moments, the euphoria begins to fade, though her face still seems to glow with a heavenly light.

”I heard him. Sinashakti spoke to me. Something here tried to block him, but it wasn’t strong enough. He warned me about two things: fire and death, and I think he meant those literally. This dragon once slew a god, back when, and this is me hoping here, gods were weak enough to be killed by dragons, but if we use all our abilities, we may yet survive this.”

83% chance of working. She’ll know if the spell fails unless there is specific magic in place to foil these sorts of divibations.

Hust a note about the pit...if a person finishes their turn next to the pit, they have to make a Reflex save with a +2 bonus, or fall in because of the slopes sides.

Therena does a quick estimation, and although the ruins make exact calculations difficult, she thinks she’s good, and flings a fireball against the partially-ruined wall that’s just adjacent to the eastern edge of the pit. The three guys in the pit are too far down to be affected, but the five other guards aren’t so lucky. I believe the 20-four radius will just miss Misha and Josef.

Therena moves down and left so she can clearly see between the ruined buildings.

”Six more of them, being quite rude and nicely clumped,” she announces and casts roaming pit. The space between the two buildings is too narrow for the pit, meaning the closest guy to her is safe, but the three right behind him are perfectly aligned. Then with a wave of her hand, the pit moves back to snag the next two.

Reflex save DC 22 to jump clear. Failing that, they take 6d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2, 5, 6, 1) = 22 points of falling damage.

While the rest of them are focused on the strange metal man, Therena pretends to be distracted by the ruins, keeping an eye out for an ambush.

Therena keeps a suspicious eye on the crypsphinx as they pass along, and looks over her shoulder several times until the thing is out of view.

”I myself have no wish to leave a fiend at our backs once it gets over it’s fear of us and decides on petulant revenge,” she whispers back.

Therena pulls out her giant summoning rod and Holy symbol, passes them to Josef, then casts a spell, turning herself into a small earth elemental. She takes back her Holy symbol and rod, holding them in a stony fist, as she steps into the wall and glides up it and onto the ceiling, staying mostly buried in the ceiling, save for part of a face so she can see, and the hand holding her two items.

Once up there, she casts detect magic and looks about.
