Hi,

I was wondering if a rogue who has Dispelling Attack can take the feat Destructive Dispel?

I found this topic about it, but it never got an answer.

Like was asked in the topic, if you can get destructive dispel and that it would work on your dispelling attack. How do you determine the save DC?

Hi all,

I recently started playing PFS and enjoyed the mission we did :)
Before I started playing I went a bit crazy and made several characters.

One of those is an alchemist, which I would like to play somewhere in the near future, but I have some questions concerning Alchemists in PFS.

I hope someone can help me with these :
1) I had an idea for my character and was wondering if the archetypes Mindchemist & Beastmorph can be combined? With that I mostly wonder if the effect of the beastmorph archetype can be added to the cognatogen discovery.

2) Which bonuses can be applied to a dayjob roll for an alchemist using Craft(Alchemy)? I know that at the very least Skill Focus(Craft(Alchemy)) should help, but what about the following :
- the Alchemy class feature of the alchemist?
- Alchemical Adept
- other traits that give a Craft(Alchemy) bonus (if alchemical adept does not apply)
- crafter's fortune
- other things I'm not aware off?

3) Which bonuses can be applied to the Craft(Alchemy) check when using a Hybridization funnel?

Thanks for looking and hope you can help :)

Hi all,

After playing pathfinder & other roleplaying games for several years now, I recently made my first steps in the world of GM'ing.

I did this by running First Steps Part 1 at home for some of my friends with them using pre-gens. Although there were some hickups here and there, it has gone ok for a first time. But I also realized that I'll need to read up on some rules again & prepare a lot more for a session if I would want to gm for PFS.
This was partly the reason why I GM'ed the session. I thought it would be nice for our local PFS group that started up recently to have more then 2 GM's in the not to distant future.

I had a few questions concerning filling out chronicle sheets (haven't done it yet, but we meet on a regular basis and I still have all the info I need of the session to fill them in.)

Here are the questions (some are scenario specific and thusly will be spoilered :

- If a player plays a pregen in this scenario, I assume that starting XP is 0 (due to the fact that you would need to apply this chronicle sheet to a new character), initial prestige/fame would also be 0, but what needs to be put into Starting GP? 0 or 150? What do I have to put on my GM chronicle sheet?

- If I got it right, you can buy items/do things with prestige at the end of the session and write it in the notes section of the sheet. Am I also correct that this could also be done before a new session? (Preferably not to many items, or in a list format, as to not take to much of the GM's time)

- If I buy items with a price of 25+ GP, I have to put this on the Inventory Tracking Sheet. I recently read something concerning the first level rebuild and that you could "rework" your starting equipment as if you started out with better equipment (hide armor to breastplate, longbow to composite longbow, chain shirt to masterwork chainshirt) (until you get to lvl 2).
So that for example you start out with a chain shirt, but after session 1 you rebuild your character and with the money you now have give him a masterwork chain shirt instead. I was wondering, how would you mark something like that on the Inventory Tracking Sheet? (seeing as you would in principal be reselling the chain shirt at full value)

Scenario specific questions:

- When is an item considered "not found". For example, is the potion of invisibility considered "not found" in one of the following situations :
1) Auntie Gilga feels threatened and drinks the potion of invisibility.
2) Auntie Gilga gets intimidated and gives the party some of the info they want and after that they leave, so she has no need to use her potion.
What about her scroll of remove disease? I see no reason why the party would search her person unless they knock her out cold?

- There are 2 items on the chronicle sheet that I wonder wether or not they are erroneous, namely :
Wand of disguise self (5 charges, 75 gp)
Wand of knock (11 charges; 990 gp)
From a topic I read recently on here, I saw that normally if you can only buy the item a limited amount of times from the chronicle sheet it will have a number behind it. Does it mean that these 2 items can be bought indefinitely?

One more question, but this one is character creation related. I recently read that you can make Aasimar, Thiefling & Tengu characters without needing some special boon if you have the right additional resource for them. Now I don't own the Advanced Race Guide, but I do have the Dragon Empires Primer which features the Tengu. The only difference that I could see between the entry in there and the one on the online reference is that instead of common & tengu they have tien & tengu. I know that mine would start with common instead of tien, my concern is wether or not I would be allowed to play the Tengu character :)

These are all the questions I could currently think of. And I'm looking forward to playing/DM'ing some more PFS in the near future :)
