can we please set this thread to inactive?

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Theodric bellows an ear-piercing scream at the troll he is antagonizing.

Save DC 13 to negate daze effect for 1 round and half damage
damage 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6) = 9

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Rd. 2 Antagonize other creature to attack me hopefully provoking AoO from the others.

Antagonize 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22

You know, your brother meet his end at the end of a stick. I hope you have more...fortitude than he. Theodric quips to the troll.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Do the attacks of opportunity occur before the beginning of the round. I only ask because the action that I wished to perform may cause the troll to incur more

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Come on lads, time to show these overgrown goblins whats for!

Inspire Courage +1

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Theodric once again takes his short bow and holds position in the mouth of the cave. His shot aimed for the troll that looks like its had the worse of the rough and tumble

Initiative 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Attack Arrow 11/20 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Is anyone here skilled in tracking. I don't think it'll be that hard to track some over grown goblins

Untrained Survival 1d20 ⇒ 9

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Feldar, glad to see you alive and well. How did you fare against these beasts? No, save that, more important issues. Is Fiona ok?

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Hmph, I weakened him for you.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Theo nudges his horse into a gallop. Drawing his sword he yells, Come on men, it's nothing but an over sized goblin

Inspire Courage round 4/10.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

We probably should bring some things we can set on fire to deal with them. They heal up fast.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

@ Rand Probably having still having a side of bacon.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

I am good. Thanks, Rand. I was at the farm delivering the baby with Brandor, don't worry cousin, I t wasn't my baby. Where was I? Oh yeah, then I fought a troll through the farm, trapped it in a barn, we burned the barn, but he escaped and ate some bacon. We ran and I brought all the peasants to the manor house for protection. Right, O, and I am almost out of ammo.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Theodric dismounts the old horse, and says get this horse to the stables! Gentlemen we have trolls! He continues and joins his family and their retainers. After a quick stop to take care of his wounds.

Wand of CLW for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Wand of CLW for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

That sounds good. Let's go. I will leave her at the manor house when I arrive

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

DM:
There was a troll. Manage to stave him off long enough for every person to get to safety. I fear where he might go next. I need a horse to get to my family to mount an opposition against it so that no others have to... He trails off, after remembering the circumstances of what brought them here in the first place. Then his thoughts go towards Fiona and the others still alive. He then catches a glimpse of the newborn and then says againI need a horse, fast!

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

DM:
Grab her and go while he is distracted.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

cantrip message to Brandor: This fight is lost. I am sorry. Let's go while he is distracted.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

DM:
Keep clearing distance between the barn and myself. Is it on fire yet?

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

DM:
As soon as the door is barred I will clear out of the pen and try and get a good lead in case the brute escapes.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Firing an arrow at the troll and then leaping from the loft to secure the door.

10th arrow 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Acrobatics to reduce falling damage 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

I nod to Brandor that now is the time and head up the ladder.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

DM:
ok, so my plan is when the troll enters get him at least 10' in. Then hit him with an ear-piercing scream. And climb the ladder. Jump out and then have the barn set on fire.

Ear Piercing Scream (Fort DC 13 for half damage no daze effect)2d6 ⇒ (5, 4) = 9
Climb 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

is there a way out up top so that i can quickly bar the doors on my escape?

I will just close the doors for the moment in that case.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Also at home with my 5 day old daughter. Got nothing but time and sleepless nights here.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

hey it made sense for a comedy bard. Besides after getting more of a feeling for this character he will be multiclassed bard/fighter

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

quickly go and bar the doors on the opposite end and head back about 10' from the ladder I will ready and arrow and loose it as soon as I see ugly.

9th arrow 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

You see ugly went to town, came a tumblin down, and broke his crown

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

I will fire arrows until the troll is within 35' of me.

I will give you the attacks and damages
61d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
damage1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

71d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
damage1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

81d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
damage1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Brandor, I want you to withdraw and keep pelting him with arrows. As soon as he gets in the barn I want you to lock it up and set it on fire. I will get out quickly

He looks at the troll and starts goading him some more So, ugly, have you heard the one about the troll who came tumbling down a hill?

Edit: Crit confirm 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
crit damage if necessary 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 1) + 4 = 10

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

inspire courage
5th arrow1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

withdraw into barn door

when I get the chance I want to use the cantrip message to tell the closest person to lock the door behind me.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

I will make sure the troll targets me through the antagonize feat and head for the barn

Antagonize via Intimidate 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
4th shot 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

dm:
theodric lines up the flaming arrow the child hands him calms himself for a moment and lets loose the arrow.

attack1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
damage1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4+flame?

he then begins to withdraw a little bit in order to antagonize him into a building that would easily catch on fire.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

DM:

Hit him while he is down men!
2nd arrow 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

DM:
anyway to place a shot to cause him to fall?
Inspire courage and stop effect last two rounds after this one and effects continue
Comp short bow 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Damage1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Spoiler:
I do have a bow. My equipment list is up to date now. so it will be the preisr the hunter and myself picking off a troll?

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

DM:
No, priest there is strength in numbers. A couple of shots at long range from a couple hunters may be enough to slow the beast. That and we have fire. We can give him a fight if we stick together and fight smart. . He takes a pause. Brandor, light your arrows and attack him from on high. I shall do the same only I will also call his attention. When I give you the clue when he is in range we attack. Any other hunters grab your bows. Aid in the attack on the roofs. Those who are incapable aid the women, children, and elderly out of this town and tell the guard what has happened. Go! Now!

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

DM:

I have several actions I would like to take care of. If there enough able people to lift a bow and fire at the troll from range I would do that. If not, and there is enough materials to burn I would like to draw the thing into a trap and burn the house with him trapped. If none of those are feasable we run. And I would give the orders to that effect.

Stay here. I will go check it out. I want people to gather the supplies.

In the mean time. Theodric will light a torch and leave it in a safe place. Then gather his supplies and run out.

I will have my equipment list chosen by the end of the weekend

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

DM:
Sorry I am more of a inspiration with comedy and speeches than with song but I will do my best. Coaching the child out.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

DM:
I will do what I can. But I am unskilled with everything involving children save for creating them. With that he aid the woman however he can delivering the child using whatever spells he needs and a bardic performance to inspire competence.
As he arrives he sends one of the men off on his horse to gather the men to the safest place he can think of whether that be the village itself or the keep. And to tell the lords its on his request when everyone shows up on the door step.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

DM, Am I in this part of the conversation or still helping with the bodies. Also, I am going to have my character whisper a prayer for them. One for Desna wishing them speedy journey to the after life and second to Sheyln for having all the beauty they might create being snuffed out.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

I'll be at the farmstead helping bury the dead and gather what info I can.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

I thought the group was preparing the keep. That was my interaction during that course, unless I misread it. If they go off chasing the trolls I will go with them.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

As it seems that they are staying to secure the area Theo looks at his cousin, gives a nod and rides back to the farm. Once there he doffs his chain shirt and grabs a shovel and begins to help with the graves. He attempts his condolences and gather whatever info they might have. He also sees who exactly was killed.

Diplomacy take 20 if I can if not. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Cousin! It's been a long time but isn't the homestead that way? he points in a direction north towards te village on the Eel Creek. Let us have Desna bless our travels and dear gods I hope Fiona is okay. as he tries to push the mounts faster.

Inspire Competence with moment of greatness adding +4 bonus to everyones check. Bardic performance rounds used 1/10.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Local 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

M'Lady might I offer some advice. Next time some tries to hurt you introduce them to the pointy end of a dagger. He says before racing off with the rest of the group.

Sir Garrett these people are anything but small. Thinking of them is to forget your heritage as a knight of the realm. Your duty is to protect them for they are what make you noble. . He pauses for a moment. that and there are many fine women among them.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

He smiles at the young man and says with a joking tone, You might as well give up now because you are looking at the top performer in all this barony, if not all of Taldor!

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

I am sorry but I might have missed it how are hot point being handled?

Just in case 9 + 2d8 + 2 ⇒ 9 + (1, 5) + 2 = 17

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Theodric rode up next to the man seemingly supplementing his questions while he attempts to make eye contact with the young lass behind the merchant.

He says to the travelers sorry this oaf forgot to introduce the rest of us. I myself am Theodric Greyborne, alumni of the Kithordian Academy, and nephew to Lord Albercroft, at your service as he takes a deep bow on his horse

Aid Another on Diplomacy 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Theo obviously a little disgruntled about having just arrived and already being sent on am errand just like when he was but a boy those many years ago. He sends for his horse and looks at his extended family As you wish and galloped off with his family and the unknown attendants.

On the ride the foppish man introduces himself as Theodric Greyborne, nephew to the Lord. and grips the brim of his hat pulling it down.

Male Human Bard 3 (HP 20/20, AC 15/11/14, Per +5, SM +0)

Young master Theodric Greyborne comes up the road, barrelling down on a horse. Galloping past the group gathered outside the stable, his hair being tossed about in the wind. His family heraldry is unmistakable. This is Lord Albercroft's nephew, the son of the queens twin sister.

He dismounts and comes out of the stables looking as pristine as the day he set out on the journey to come here from Oppara. He looks at everyone and gives a wry smile then turns to the Lord himself and gives a bow that is lathered in sarcasm before he approaches.

Sorry for my late start, but my wife and daughter are still in the hospital. I am hoping the get released tomorrow or thursday. Thank you all for bearing with me and my late start. I look forward to playing with all of you
