All sorry for the delay. Some craziness going on in the real world has kept me away from the PC.

Not to go into too much detail but I got laid off from work and have been scrambling to get everything in order and look for a new job. In addition I got extremely sick and paid a visit to the ER. Today is the first day I'm starting to feel a bit back to normal.

I apologize for the delay and really want to continue things but for the foreseable future my posting may be a bit eradict until I get my life back in order. I will try my best to at least post every other day but I wanted to let you all know what is going on in case I go missing for a little bit longer. If you need to move on without me I understand and will hopefully catch you all in other games in the future.

Theod stands back watching the exchange in silence glad to let one of the others keep the attention of the foul creature.

Theod takes detailed notes on his map as they continue their journey. Seeing the abandoned building "Perhaps we should check it out, maybe other items useful to our cause we could find there. The question is how to get across."

He tries to get a sense of the difficulty to cross and the strength of the rope and what it might take to reconstruct the bridge.

Personally I think if the goal is to try and find the kobolds we should go right to it, Theod on the other hand would love to explore as much as possible.

Just for reference the other group is looking at exploring E7, E9, D10,D11, C13. Don't think we'll cross paths but wanted to let you know just in case.

Before setting out Theod will ask the men they came across if they know anything of the kobolds, he'll also examine the maps and see if he can recall anything about likely kobold nesting grounds.

Theod will assist the others in setting up the fort and making sure they have some food to tide them over initially. He'll dance with Cappi to help with morale and keep people entertained. The rest of the time when he isn't studying the maps he'll be out gathering food.

Theod greets Oleg and Svetlana and goes on to explain about the extra men "We have found some men looking for some honest work, they have been of great assistance to us. We thought they might be of some use here."

Theod lays on the ground unconcious one moment and quickly brought back to the harsh reality of his gapping wounds. He lays on the ground feigning death as to not draw the bears attention, just barely holding onto life. 2 HP :(

Knowing he is still getting used to his horse and not having much experience with mounted combat Theod gets out of the saddle as quickly as he can and equips his weapon once he is on solid ground.

Looking to Hadin "It is hard to say where we might find such a spot. In reality most of these lands would make good homes for bears. We will just have to keep an eye out. As for the bears themselves, it's likely most would be black bears, but there is potential we could encounter some larger brown bears."

Theod adds to the ideas being tossed around "Does anyone have an extra copy of the mandate, perhaps we could give that to them and all sign it. Random bandits would not know our names to be able to falsely sign it. I would think those at the fort would acknowledge that." He shurgs.

Would it be that much to head back to Oleg's to see them there and then explore B6, then we could just let them know at the outpost in case the other group got back before us.

Theod talks to them about his maps and sees if they can give any insight into possible points of interest. Also asking if any of them really know the land well and would consider acting as a guide as the group continues their exploration.

Theod nods and smiles, with his head he motions for them to come toward the fire. "Come let us have proper introductions. With your mention of your knowledge of the local lands I have an idea, even aside from other work you might find at our little outpost." He begins walking back toward their camp and takes a seat by the fire, sitting his weapon on the ground and looking back to make sure the others are coming.

Seeing everyone not taking this other group as a threat Theod steps out from behind the tree, still holding his weapon but not in a threatening manner. He nods to Cappi's words "As he says, there could be some honset work for you if you are interested but we are just as concerned of this Stag Lord and would like to put a stop to his, as you put it, brutal and unforgiving ways. If you can give us more information on him that would be most helpful!"

Theod stays in his position behind the tree, listening to the conversation before acting.

"Everyone get ready for a possible fight" Theod moves to get behind a tree or something so he can strike out at one if it approaches.

Theod takes his time while they ride, continuing to scribble on his maps. That night at the camp, eating dinner and catching sounds coming from the woods he says to the others as quietly as he can "Something in the forest over there. Can anyone see anything?"

He slowly reaches for his weapon, to be ready for a fight.

After some time with his maps, he rolls them up and goes to his horse, making sure it is tended to while packing up h is gear. "We should head out soon, still a lot of exploring to do." He looks back at the others briefly while he continues packing up his stuff.

Theod hangs onto some of the furs, just for his own use as they likely wouldn't trade well and discards the meat after finding it too stringy to be very good. Laying back down for the night he thinks to himself Perhaps we need to work on being able to setup some better shelters while we are on the road... That could have gone much worse.

In the morning Theod will rise reasonably early, like usual, and see what game he can find for himself and the others. Always trying to maintain their rations and not have to break into stored rations unless absolutely necessary.

As the others awake he listens to their discussions while continuing to work on his maps. There are a lot of details he wants to capture and not being an artist, per say he takes a good amount of time working and re-working the maps. Theod chuckles at the back and forth with Cappi but doesn't chime in.

Theod nods to Castor "Thanks! Only a minor scratch now." He looks to the others "I agree with Brom let's try and get some rest, we still have heavy travelling ahead. Let's see if any of these furs or meat can do us some good though first!"

Theod goes to work on skinning the wolves of their furs and harvesting any meat that is worth while.

Theod shakes his head at Cappi "Brom bloody well tried waking everyone up. You must be some heavy sleeper..." He turns to Brom "Don't be so hard on yourself, we're all still here, if it hadn't been for you they would have snuck up on us and ripped us apart." Then looking to Castor, with blood streaming down his leg "I've got a bit of a my leg bitten off, but it isn't a death wound or anything."

@Castor you can't 5ft step if you already take a move action (ie standing) the only real other alternative would have been for me to stay on the ground and go total defense, but Theod wouldn't just sit there and try to avoid getting eaten, he would try and find a way to fight back.

@GM Did the heal go off before or after I moved?

AoO1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage1: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Theod steps back, keeping his distance from the wolves and swings his Bec de corbin again at the one across from him.

Theod tries crawling away from the wolves on him, once he moves out of their range he'll stand up drawing his weapon.

Theod smiles at the compliment and points out a few things on the map "It's all just a smaller scale of the real world. Obviously I can't measure things exact, but we have an approximation based on how far we travel between things. Of course, some aspects of the map have to be exaggerated to try and compensate for scale but for the most part I think it is reasonably accurate." Noticing Broms frustration he adds "I think once we have the whole picture it will make more sense all together. We've only gotten started you know."

Theod agrees to the watch schedule prefering to get up early anyways. After some time setting up camp he'll pull out his maps and work on making any corrections or enhancements he can remember, that riding and drawing didn't allow him. He'll signal Brom over once the maps are out to allow him to look them over from his earlier request.

Theod grins at broms suggestion of chopping up the horse but shrugs to his question "I'm still getting use to her myself, not too bad overall, though mapping and riding, even at a slow pace is rather difficult. I'll have to review the maps and clean them up a bit at some point."

Theod watches the scene with Brom, not well trained with his horse, deciding to let the others try and provide assistance.

As the party slows Theod pulls out his mapping equipment, and begins taking dubious notes trying to catch as much detail as possible before moving on.

Having mapped out a large area, with night setting in Theod will help in finding a good spot to camp.

Survival to assist: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Once they find a camp Theod will take some time to tend to his horse before heading off with Brom and Castor to find some game.

Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

While out hunting and gathering he will approach Brom "I hope tomorrow is a better day for you and your horse. That did not look too enjoyable ealier today."

Theod engrossed in his maps pays little attention to the others throughout the evening trying to get a better feel for the region. He'll take some time to study the weather hoping to get a sense for what the next several days will bring so he isn't stuck out in the rain once again.

Before it gets too late he'll see to his horse making sure she is feed and groomed, continuing to try and form a bond with the animal.

In the early morning, Theod will get up and tend to his horse once more bowing his head in greeting to Castor before heading out and hunting some game to ensure rations are upkept.

Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Bringing the game back for Svetlana to prepare he'll make sure to provide any extras to others that may need it. After eating a solid breakfast he'll unroll his maps to study them while waiting for the others.
