And thus commences much chatter that sums up as, "I haven't actually played yet, but by the look of it..."

Point taken.

I'll be wrapping up a D&D 5e campaign, and after that Starfinder is numero uno

I know there's been a lot of questions regarding "will it be compatible with Pathfinder", but let me come at it from the opposite direction: would it allow you to make a better game if compatibility with Pathfinder wasn't a concern at all? It seems like a huge undertaking to both make a stand alone game AND make it play nice with an older system. Just sayin'.

Cool, that answers my question nicely. Thanks!

I noticed that the Iron Gods adventure path is sci-fantasy, very much in keeping with Starfinder. Is there any info how Iron Gods may or may not be a part of Starfinder when it comes out?

Would it be so overpowered if it did stack both the bonus damage as well as the d6's? At level 20, that's only 10d6+10 with an average of 45 points of damage. The tanks are doing more than that with a single crit and have at least four attacks per round. Even the ranger/archer is doing 30+ damage with each arrow and likely firing 6+ times per round. Stacking the d6 damage for the bloodline attacks does seem to be unbalancing. Thoughts?

I was wondering originally because this did not seem to stack up some of the other bloodlines, such as those that get progressively cooler claw attacks.

But I think if it did gain damage dice it would go from being under powered to being more powerful than the others?

It deals 1d6 + (level/2) damage.

That's what I was figuring. Am I wrong in thinking that gets to be obsolete very quickly, especially as a spell-like ability that provokes? I guess it's the "you've run out everything else and still can do this" ability?

Acidic Ray (Sp): Starting at 1st level, you can fire an acidic ray as a standard action, targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. The acidic ray deals 1d6 points of acid damage + 1 for every two sorcerer levels you possess. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

Does this mean 1d6 and only the +1 bumps up every 2 levels, or does it mean it does 1d6+1 at 1st & 2nd level, 2d6 + 2 @ 4th, etc?

Thanks.

Help me with how silent image can be used to justify taking it? I'm not questioning it, but I'm having a hard time thinking through the uses. Also, I'm somewhat surprised to not find color spray. Even for 5HD+ opponents, it's still an area stun effect. Thanks.
